Default New Here :) Trying to get my Mojo Back.

Hello, I am new here. I am from Abbotsford, BC Canada. I am a single mom with a 16 yr old daughter and 13 year old son. I am an avid crafter of all sorts. But scrapping is my love.

I have been scrapbooking cardmaking forever. Unfortunately, I have taken a long break. I miss stamping, and scrapping. I am just getting back into it. So my question for you ladies isss.... what is new out there? What are some of the new and trending stamp companies?

I really can't tell you what is new or trendy, I don't really follow that sort of thing. I like what I like and look for that.

A great place to start would be the galleries here on SCS and Pinterest is great for inspiration too.

To help stimulate your mojo you might want to try out the challenges even if you don't want to post. Challenges are great for giving you a reason to try something and they give you a bit of a direction to follow.

And welcome, hope you have fun here.

Hi CaffeineCrafter (love your username and avatar!) and welcome from New Zealand. Grab a current cardmaking/stamping magazine from your local library, and all that is new and trendy will be revealed!

Welcome! I'm new too & have yet to up load a card or take a challenge. Gradually I think you'll get the hang of it or the feel will be right. So take care and start crafting!

Welcome from a fellow BC'er! I'm just a little north of you up in Prince George. I'm more of a card maker and crafter than a scrapbooker, but I know my local scrapbooking store as well as Michael's carries a lot of whatever is new out there. Another source of knowledge I've used is scrapbooking and cardmaking magazines. They're full of inspiration and most projects will have the sources of their materials listed, including the company. That's a good way to get a sense of what companies are out there and which ones appeal to you.
Best wishes!

WELCOME! Your going to love this site. So much information (so little time to read it all! Hahaha!) One new "Fad" that I'm noticing is all the new stamps that are coming out with matching framelit dies. Sizzix has opened up a whole new world for stampers, so check them out too! I LOVE making my cards and not having to always fussy cut some of the stuff is heaven for me!
