Default Hi from Kansas!

Good afternoon all! I’ve been lurking here for just about a year. About time I say hi I have enjoyed and learned so much from my lurking thus far. I’ve never really participated in any discussion boards so this is new.

My name is Christine. I live in Wichita, KS with my husband of almost four years, Wayne. We don’t have kids yet, but our two dogs and three cats (Skipper – weenie dog, Trouble –cat, Cracker – cat, Lucky – cat, Harlow – yellow Lab) are definitely very loved and spoiled! Most of my immediate/in-law family lives in the Wichita/Derby area so we see our families quite often. The only exception is my little brother who met a girl from Australia…fell in love…moved to Australia to live with her. They come back to Kansas to visit about once a year. We’re so looking forward to their visit in just a few months! My husband’s parents actually live down the street from us. Some may think we’re crazy to live so close, but my in-laws are awesome. I love having them close by

I am currently in the last eight weeks of a Masters of Liberal Arts program. I am excited to reach the end so I can have more free time for crafting I have been in banking for the past 13 years. I also own a rental property management company with Wayne, so that keeps us busy at times.

The majority of my crafty stuff is Stampin Up, but I am always interested in learning about something new! In addition to my Stampin Up toys I have a Cricut Mini and Zing. Neither has really seen much attention aside from being taken out of the box thanks to two years of school. I can’t wait to put them to work on some very overdue scrapbooking in a few months. Until then card making helps feed my crafty addiction.

Hi Christine! I'm a Wichitan and Shocker, too! Are you getting your MA at WSU or Friends? We moved to Missouri several years ago, but I went to high school and college in Wichita, so it's a place dear to my heart.

I'd like to welcome you out of stealth-mode. We're glad to see you here at Splitcoast!

Welcome Christine. You live in a great town. My youngest daughter lived there a couple of years ago (with my 2 darling granddaughters.)

I live right down I-35 from Wichita, in Oklahoma City, and you can bet I burned up a lot of gas visiting Wichita in those years.

I just loved visiting there. It is a beautiful town, full of so much art and creativity, and lovely parks everywhere.

Looking forward to seeing you post in our discussions.

Hi Christine,
Another Kansas stamper here--home is the far west of Kansas but for most of March and part of April I will be in Wichita helping with the new baby--a first--at my son and daughter in law. I provide day care 3 days each week for them as she is finishing up nursing school and he just changed jobs in January and has no leave time built up...I think I have the best deal as I don't have to study or work and am allowed to play with a cute baby all day long.
