Talking Hi, I'm Theresa, and I'm new!

Hi, my name is Theresa, and I'm new to cardmaking, stamping, and crafting in general. My mother cleaned out her papercraft stash and passed the leftovers onto me (thanks, Mom!) in a bid to turn me to the Dark Side, and it worked! I've been making cards left and right!

Mostly, I'm looking for inspiration, particularly in terms of streching my meager supply as far as it can. I'm an expat far from home, so getting new stuff is occasionally a challenge. I can't wait to get to know everyone here!

Welcome to Splitcoast (and the Dark Side .. tell your Mom she did well!)

There is a lot of inspiration here (especially the galleries and the challenges). But you can also learn a lot from the Resources section. This is a fun site and you may find yourself spending a lot of time here.

Happy Crafting!

Hi Theresa and welcome from New Zealand! Have fun exploring the forum and do ask if you have any questions.

Hi Theresa,

Welcome aboard!

Don't know where you are located, but most places might have white cardstock for sale, like office supplies, etc.

If you use your "precious" colored cardstock an/or patterned paper to make only "card fronts", and not the whole card, you can stretch your supplies.

Just make your base card from the white cardstock, make the card front the same size as the front of your folded card. Then adhere the card front to the white cardstock base.

I make all my cards this way, because I like to have the white inside to write on instead of a colored base. (And also, like I said, to save my fancy paper, lol.)
