Default Hello! (Total newbie)

Hello everyone,
I recently developed an interest in card making as a hobby and hope to also branch out into art journaling at some point.

I am very new to all things card/stamping but have rapidly gotten sucked in to all the cool/fun supplies and techniques. I don't have a lot of tools yet but anticipate getting some of my wishes for xmas (Iíve had to curb my hobby spending and hope I get what I need in December, those costs add up fast!). I do have a big shot (thanks to a ridiculously generous friend for my birthday), some inks, and lots of patterned papers.

One thing I donít have yet is stamps! (Okay, not entirely true. I have a set of 4 wood-block stamps of leaves that I bought early on to try, but I am holding out for clings and an acrylic block).

Everyoneís work in the gallery is really inspiring, youíre all very talented. I hope to learn a lot from all of you. I am open to constructive criticism on every card I post, I really want to improve. I have already found some techniques that would have improved my first card, but alas, canít change it now. Move on to the next one and apply what Iíve learned, right?
-Sze

Hi Sze!

Indeed you do have a generous friend! That is a great tool - I love mine and use it nearly every time I make a card.

You will love all the fun things you will learn here - I definitely recommend our daily challenges - they are listed by day of the week on the home page and will really stretch your creative muscles!

We actually have a thread where you can ask for constructive criticism - Constructive Criticism - need a little help with your card?

Enjoy yourself here and please let me know if I can help you with anything!

Thanks! I totally plan on giving them a shot (just waiting for life to get a little bit less hectic/busy on my end. )
