Hey friends! I figure we need a general chit chat thread on here, don't we? Just a running conversation spot. Today is a relaxing at home day, since yesterday was a pack-the-Christmas-stuff-away and do some running and grocery shopping day. Today I am trying to get my dry eye issues in order, they have been bothering me for a week now. Like all the sudden, slamming into a brick wall, they are just killing me. I am putting lubricating drops in every couple hours. Then I just finished a big pot of chili and it's mid afternoon and time to hit my craft room. Hehe, I am so far behind in my judge Judy! Be back later!
so glad you got da lubricating drops Paulabella! I have been glued to my HEATING pad and watching reality shows because my tummy is KILLING me.. I am now finally feeling ok to finish off this week's project life post. I used so many YUMMALISH Bella stamps in there.. gonna post it tomorrow
Art Journaling Monday will resume next week but maybe we should have a PROJECT LIFE Toosday on the blog? LOL

Laundry, laundry and more laundry. The Mr. and I just returned from a cruise of the southern caribbean and I can't believe how much laundry 2 people can accumulate. Have not done any since before Christmas. It has piled up. Yes. I own that much underware. Enough to go 3 weeks or more. Too much information??

I ended up getting together with a girlfriend for some much-needed bonding time!
And I am desperately trying to catch up with stamping projects.
Probably should've done laundry...but let's not think about the past!

Pinky, I meant to tell you that I think that is the same cruise Dustin and Rachel went on before Christmas. Same cruise line, same destinations.
I didn't do a darn thing today. I slept until 10 am, laid on the couch and took naps the rest of the day. I left the house once to get a coffee and Popeyes chicken for dinner. Went next door and visited with my neighbor most of the evening.
I think I am going to have to take an ambien to get to sleep tonight! Work in the morning and I wish I was off! I am excited that I have a 3 day weekend coming up. Going stamping with a group of women in Kemah that I just met. Good to have something to look forward to.
P.s. love you Pinky Dinky Do! Glad your home!

I didn't accomplish a thing yesterday...had a girls night out on Saturday so my 3 am bedtime and getting up with the grandboys @ 7am did me in for the rest of the day. Today I'm meeting a friend for lunch and planning a pampered chef party she's having at my house Friday...her 1st one, grand opening to her business=) Tonight I'm working on a card order. Someone browsed my gallery on SCS and wanted some cards I made using Christy Croll's Everyday Princess=)
What is everyone else up to today???
PS...those Uptown Girls flashing by as I type are such a tease! Can't wait for the release!
So today wasbmonday which meant back to work. Good thing I enjoy spending 8 hours there or I would be in trouble! Monday's go by pretty quick so that was what I did today...I actually did work, physically! Lol sometimes I entertain the troops...don't ask. While I was working, I had vision of projects running through my mind. Jim is working tonight and Jordan is at the boyfriends for the evening. Just me and the animals. I have been planning on giving niki, my yorkie, a bath. So I am fixing to that very soon. Laundry is in the wash. I will have sweet dreams on my fresh clean flannel. Man! I love the smell of Gain detergent & Downey softener. Creatively, I will get into my room and finish up 10 of the birdhouses I posted on my blog around Christmas time. They are paper and the template is NOT on stamping Bella. Lol.
Dog won't wash himself, so I better get moving! Catch you all in a few.
Well it's only Tuesday and I'm exhausted! Lol. Looking forward to being off Friday. I did have a nice lunch today... Celebrated a birthday of one of my favorite bosses. Bought airline tickets to visit my son in Florida. I am excited about that! Southwest Airlines has some incredible prices right now. I think the sale ends Thursday.

Laura, when are you going to visit your son in Florida?
Today I'm working on the Bellarific Friday Challenge. Then I'll be prepping for the carpet guy to come this afternoon. Getting my carpets and couches cleaned, yay! My hubs has an early day today, they've been on extended hours, working through the weekend as well for an inspection that ends today, yay!
Have a great day everyone!
So far my week is going as planned and I got the stuff done, that was on my list. I still need to few things in my bathroom to get that finished off. How can such a small space be SO dusty? I don't get it. How can it look like I have not dusted and vacuumed in there for a year? I have, several times! I washed my little valances in there and now I have to press them out. YES, that means I will have an iron in my hand later on this evening. haha
There is going to be a *new* release soon, so Emily is promising some coloring time. YEAH...I smell UPTOWN girls!!!!
last night I was coloring up one of the *NEW* Uptown girls....can I just tell you how much I LOVE them ???
Tonight, I am going to see Beauty & the Beast in 3D....I feal a song coming on. I warned my friend...I WILL be singing! lol
Weekend plans? anyone gonna try the AJ monday? It's been a while for me, but I am submitting something. My artsy supplies have a fine layer of dust on them...*achoo* so I need to clean them off.

I have shovelled the walkway twice today. It is snowy and cold here. Blahhhh. Hate winter! I did also manage to put a few thankyou cards together today. Just waiting for the Mr. to get home. It is taco night. Taco's and Corona's in front of the tube. Friday evening is usually movie night. I think we'll watch Crazy, Stupid Love. I hear it is good.

wanna know what's happening with me! well, my hubby has been out of town for two weeks and two days ago my girl (aka...dog...Bessie) chased a squirrel and in her efforts to catch that thing, she tore her knee out. ACL injury! she did it to her other knee in 2009 and the Vet said that if fiesty dogs like her (west highland terrier) blow one knee, it is only a matter of time till they blow the other! can you say 2 GRAND! YUP! That is what a surgery like that costs her in canada. she is scheduled for tuesday. i'm gonna have to REALLY curb my spending.
Wow Linda! Our dog had to have ACL surgery and it cost me $400. I thought that was bad! I hope it all goes well. Unfortunately we had to put ours down last week (she was a 12 year old Maltese) and we are missing her terribly. I still expect to 'hear' from her when I come in the door or make a racket. It seems very quiet and still in the house.

so sad for you. Our girl is 10, and I don't even want to think of what life will be like without her.

Aww I bet that was hard. We have a 13 and a half year old boxer that can't see or hear very well. She is having a great time today in the sun which is good. My husband and I have had her since college so i feel like she has been in our family always.
So, my little one has the stomach flu . She was sick once last night and once this afternoon. She can't talk, so she looks at me as if to say "what is happening to me". It breaks my heart. She is asleep on my chest right now. I'm afraid if I put her in her crib she will wake up.......
I have been on a "Weeds" marathon. I have done nothing else in days. Started at the beginning thanks to Netflix and I'm now into Season 4, episode 4. Should be cleaning house!

ok, there are times when I can be slowwww. But I was reading about your boxer, then I follow right into this post and I am thinking...how is a boxer sleeping on your chest. I was tipped off by the putting her in the crib part...I was like....huh? Then i see realize you must be talking about a real baby. Anyhow, I do hope she is feeling better today and it's so bad when they are that young and realize what's going on, yet they don't understand. Feel better wishes from Michigan!
Miss Linda, I will be thinking of Bessie on Tuesday.
Maybe we should think about moving the Heavens family to the States! lol
Laura...i LOVE WEEDS! I didn't finish this past season, will get on DVD..I have all the other seasons. There is stuff on the dvd's with Andy, and I laughed SO hard. He is my FAV.
on the list for today's after work activity...work out, take some pictures of my beloved pencils {lol} and start a sewing project for Jordan. She wants a stuffed doll she saw in STUFFED magazine. It's a 'Day of the Dead' doll and very cute. I may have to make two while I'm at it.
On the positive side, I also know what dinner is and it's just Jordan and I so I should get some pattern making time in and hopefully, start the sewing too.
ahhh, snow, what little we have, is melting away in Michigan!
well today the Canadian westcoast is getting hit with allotta snow here for us. I am spending my day off driving mom to and from work and kids to and from school. Was hoping to get inky but it sure doesnt look like it
Well..there is no school here today or tomorrow ( that is after a half day on Friday too..)
HAHAH..yeah not a lotta creating going on so far. I have done all of my cleaning, let my daughter play in my sunken tub so the boys wouldn't strangle her LOL, and now I am working on some things for my design teams( or trying should I say ??) . Dinner is on the slow cooker..( a roast) and I have done 3 loads of laundry..gotta love Monday huh? LOL
There is no deep freeze in Michigan. {thank GOSH} We had a balmy 42 and rain this morning. Which means...my white car on a dirt is now a soft brown suede color. I like the color camel, and that's about as positive as I can be with a muddy car. lol
I did get my hands on another NEW release image and I am waiting to see if Ms. Bella loads it up on her blog. It's perfect for sending a lotta love to someone special. I am SO SMITTEN with the UPTOWN Girls, it's crazy.
Tonight, I am dining out with the hubby...doing some shopping at Williams-Sonoma, Home Depot. I have DIY on the brain. But, I would really rather be home in my room, creating something fun...instead of being at work.

Hahaha! She seems to be doing better today ( my daughter, not my dog, my dogs are fine ) keeping my fingers crossed that she is done being sick I can't stand her being so upset! I feel like she has been sick on and off since thanksgiving! She is in daycare with her cousins ( twins who are two weeks older than her and a three year old). The three year old is always brinng sickness home from her daycare -which gets all the babies sick. Now, those poor cousins always get it worse than my daughter. Every single time they get an ear infection with their colds. I hate that my daughter is always getting exposed, but I can't complain because it is free daycare with her grandmother and she would be getting exposed no matter where she was. Husband says I can possibly be a stay at home mom in 2 years
That being said I have her sleeping on my chest again today and will have to go back to work tomorrow!
I feel so sorry for all of you in the cold. We have lots of rain here today in Maryland, but when I stepped outside to put my latest Bella creations in the mail it didn't feel too bad. I do not like the cold, unless it is snowing and I don't have to drive in it
I have been on a "Weeds" marathon. I have done nothing else in days. Started at the beginning thanks to Netflix and I'm now into Season 4, episode 4. Should be cleaning house!
Thank you she is in high spirits if nothing else....

Today I am watching the snow fly (15-20 cm expected by tomorrow morning) Winter is depressing for me so I decided to do some on-line shopping. Stamping Bella and Curry's Art supplies are taking a bite out of my wallet. Art supplies make me happy

Today has been a long day..kids home still from this unearthly 4 1/2 day weekend.. Yes they *just* went back from a LONG winter break. I am tired. I have a cold still..but I made myself do some baking today which is always fun . Made some rolls and homemade from scratch brownies. And now I feel slightly fat..HAHAHAH...It has been mildly cold here..and felt like rain. I feel for all of you in the colder regions..I HATE cold weather. There was a chance ( and still could be) of my husband being transfered to Carmel, IN..I was like NOOOOO.....LOL..this southern girls likes the heat..the hotter the better..LOL..( oddly enough though I do like the snow..I grew up in the north western mountains of NC and we got LOTS of snow..so I do miss that..)
Now I am off to get baths started..clothes laid out , read a bit..then go to bed. 5:45 comes SO early....

I like your thinking - was feeling a little winter depression myself.....found a great set of copic tutorials on pinterest, so I ordered myself some more copics to practice with - lol!
Now I need to figure out a stampingbella order.......
I'm still on my "Weeds" marathon. I have watched something like 65 episodes to far in the last week. I hope to be caught up real soon because I am sure hubby is tired of seeing me glued to the iPad!
I am looking forward to this weekend in San Antonio. A little getaway with the hubby! I need to look at the weather forecast....hopefully clear skies because we will be doing lots of walking (and eating)!

This cold weather is just yucky! Yesterday after my car sat out at work for the better part of the day it wouldn't start. The guys at work boosted me and I put our battery charger on when I got home and plugged in the block heater. This morning - dead.
I don't even have an old car, it's a 2009 Honda Fit but they have teeny tiny batteries in them and I don't think they are really up to it. We'll see what the Honda people have to say about it.

My mom was born in Mars Hill and our family is in the Weaverville/Asheville area. I LOVE NC!

how does that little car handle in snow? I have seen one in my neighborhood...small indeed and I bet not liking the cold temps.
