The book I am currently reading on my iPad is 'We gotta Talk About Kevin'. Just read a very small portion...it's soon to be out in the theaters with Tilda Swinton. I think it is up for awards, but was more an indie movie last year. A friend said it was the most disturbing book she had ever read. Ummmm, I knew I needed to read it after that. Lol

That book has been sitting on my shelf for ages as well. Have not read it yet. I would appear I have the same problem with books as I do stamps. I collect them rather than use them. Got to change that. On both accounts.

I am currently reading "The Serpent's Tale" by Ariana Franklin. It is second in the "Mistress of the Art of Death" series and I love it! No, it's not about the occult or vampires or anything like that. One of the reviews described it as "Canterbury Tales" meets CSI and that's a pretty fair description. Think Bones set in medieval England. If you like historical fiction and/or Bone/CSI type stories, you will probably enjoy the series.

These sound interesting. I'm going to check them out!

I was in desperate needs of some new reads - so i will have to check these out. I read the hunger games also. it was awesome. I was a little hestitate because it is classified as young adult - but i could not put them down.

I have read poisonwood bible and it was not my cup of tea. Sarah's Key was very good - but a little depressing for me. The girl with the dragon tatoo was just too out there for me. wow - I'm sounding negative about these books.....actually i understand why they are good - i just wouldn't re-read them!

if anyone is into really long novels that have a lot of detail one of my favorite all time series is the outlander series. there are 7 books and there will be an 8th sometime in the near future.

Just got finished reading The Hunger Games trilogy on my Kindle. They are such good books I couldn't put them down. Highly recommend them.

Just finished listening to "V is for Vengence" It was really good. I don't have much time to sit and read, but can listen to them at work. If you start a book and there is a dead body within 5 minutes it's got to be good.

Yes, I love that series by Diana Gabaldon but it's really hard to wait for the next book!

I tried to listen to this series on Audible. My friend had them all...HOURS of listening...she loaned me her ipod. Just could NOT get into it at all. But yet...I LOVE all the history books I have listened to about Marie Antoinette, Henry VIII...

Also, a book that I have seen as a favorite of many...listened and made it through on Audible... it was TORTURE. Redeeming Love. I have seen this pinned on pinterest and I tell you...it had to been a far better read than to listen to some awful voices reading it to me.

I just closed my Audible account for a while. I have so many books and credits accumulated...it was crazy to just keep adding more. {I have to be in the mood for listening & I do this @ work}

I downloaded my last three book this weekend. The Leopard & The Snowman by some Swedish author... Jo something...supposed to be right up there with Steig Larrson. Anyone read them?

I also have a Scientology book waiting to be listened too because THAT fascinates me to no end.

I read Redeeming Love as part of a book club and thought it was great. I was surprised as I didn't think I 'd like it. I can see how it might not be so hot as an audible.

Paula you're right about that Outlander series - they are addictive and huge books. I didn't get anything done for weeks.

I just started A Clash of King, the second book in the A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin. First book was fantabulous. This one is starting out just as good.

Just finished listening to the third book in The Strain trilogy...a Scientology book that I will keep my opinions to myself about...since I may encounter a scientologist....and now listening to a book called Trapped. Omg, terror on a small island in northern Michigan..... It is so gross, yet good. I have been working on the shop floor, at work, and this is when I listen to all my downloaded books!

I just finished Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith yesterday. The movie comes out in June. I started reading The Hunger Games last night.

I put the Hunger Games trilogy on my Kindle before leaving on our holiday so yesterday on the plane ride home I finally had a chance to start it. I'm on chapter 9 and I'm definitely intrigued so far.
