it's SO much fun to stamp, colour, try out techniques etc in your very own place.. your journal!
I host a weekly challenge on my blog to get you to loosen up and have fun.. use your scraps on your table.. have markers you have never tried? a coloured ink pad? your journal is the place to go...
here's one of my pages using collage bits of scrapbooking paper scraps I had hanging around.. and I used our BE WHO YOU ARE stamp at the bottom left on a new VELLUM paper I am trying out and may just be a BELLA'S BESTEST VELLUM! stay tuned!
hope to see you on our blog or submit your challenges .. we will have fun!
Enjoy sistahs! and let me know if you any questions!
I am still looking for the "special" one. I know that I have started so many.
Right now I am committed to an old LEDGER book and collaging pages inside there. I have just ordered the new RANGER journal which I saw in person and think that one may be "it"!.. You have to see what you are comfortable with.. I KNOW I don't like spiral.. I like when the two pages flow...
I also use Moleskine sketchbooks
Speaking of journaling on a napkin, there is super cute restaurant I went to that had coffee tables with drawers throughout the place and people would journal about why they were there, what they were celebrating, etc. Super fun to visit and read some of them and laugh, and journal yourself a bit! I absolutely loved that place!! Spokane, WA!!
Where do I go to join your challenges?

I am pretty new at it. I have started an Art Journal and would love to get to it more often. There are a LOT of great Art Journalers out there, and some wonderful blogs to follow. Christi Thomlinson is one of my favorites to follow!
She does a lot of canvas work, but you could do a lot in a journal too!

Em has a video that shows you how to stamp and color on tissue paper and then use mod podge or glue of choice to use on a journal page. I would have never thought of that. Em, we should use this technique for art journaling day. Please post this video again.

hi em! elaine sent me over here because i was asking if there were any art journalers on scs. i have been doing it for about a year now and no longer make cards so i was feeling very lonely! i must venture over and check out your stamps - i have not bought a new stamp in years because i was on so many design teams i was over run but i think i need some new bella goodness. the very first rubber stamp i ever bought when i started stamping years ago was a stamping bella - and it arrived bare rubber and i freaked out! i had no idea what to do with it! i made my first friends in the stamping bella yahoo group too! i also have lots of mixed media stuff up on my blog for anyone who would like to have a look! loving the blue rubbah too!
