We DVR'd it and watched today! I am not sure I will warm up to Kyle though, haha!! The hubs roots for Gordon and I root for Carl Edwards. When I went to my first race, I liked his car (HA!) so I rooted for him and he lost when there was I think 2 laps to go. Blew a tire and I want to say Mark Martin won that one? It's been awhile so I can't remember everything, just that I was mad!! Looking forward to another season of racing and Smilin' Bob ads!! hahahaha
Ask yourself, "When Iím on my deathbed, will I be glad I was so serious about _______?" Let down your hair and stop being so darn important for a while. my gallery
Hi, Laura! Count me in as a 24 fan!! Definitely not a fan of the little shrub...or his older brother, Kurt! I think we will be in for lots of wrecks if the shootout and today's Nationwide race are any indicators. Amazing that today's winner was in 11th position coming into turn four and won the race!! Don't think boring will be an adjective used this year!
My hubs and I are, tho I haven't been watching much since the kiddo and grandboys moved in. We like Gordon. He's going to the Race at PIR next week with my FIL and 2 of his friends. $10 tickets that include a 300 mile round trip bus ride, not bad! Last time we had those tickets we had great seats.
Well I've got to say I'm a Harvick fan, don't know why. I'm from the old fashioned small track family so I like the thinking/driving style. I have to admit that Stewart thinks the same way. I am not a big Kyle or Partrick fan.
The DH is Martin, my oldest is Kasey, my youngest is Kyle (says he is the best one he's met personally so far besides Harvick), and my grandson still perfers formula one. He's only 3 but for some reason he's always preferred it.
Any other Harvick / Stewart fans out there?
Being from WI we're Kenseth fan's. I think when they finally race it's going to anyone's to win. So many crashes yesterday. It's all being in the wrong place at the wrong time and it's big crashes. With a almost entire day of rain today and more on the way there is no rubber on that track to race on. Should be interesting race.
I have to agree with you gomatt17 on the rubber situation. I was watching an update this afternoon and they were talking about the changes. They mentioned everything but the rubber situation but I think it'll play a big part in what happens at the start.
This is going to be interesting, night racing this early in the year.
Does anyone have any guess as to who's going to win? I know I don't, there are just too many factors to take into account tonight.
WOW!!!! What do you think of that? I'm glad they are alright but wow. I agree with Waltrip, I've seen a lot but never that.
One funny spot though, try explaining that one to the insurance agent who covers the truck. It's so bizzare they'll never believe it.
Wow after starting the race at 7pm and a two hour 5 minute delay to put the fire out and fix the track. Matt Kenseth came out winning his second Daytona 500. We were so excited after the race have hard time falling asleep.
Thanks llevans, I had forgotten to check what it would be. If the points stick it will be hard to play catch up. Chad will get out of it somehow, he got it knocked down last time.
The thing that hurts jimmy is he really need Chad, oh well.
The old saying up here is "it's only illegal if you get caught."
I read today's paper about JJ. Docked 25 posts. Oh my going to very hard to dig his way out of that very deep hole. Maybe some day Chad will realize NASCAR is catching those illegal things. Chad barred from 6 weeks and fined $100,000. You cheat you lose. A few years ago Hubby and I were lucky and say Kenseth win at Rockingham N.C. That was cool. But that Nascar took the race away from that track.
Compared to the 500 it was dull. I liked it because they were able to race and fuel paid a big part. There weren't many cautions and then two of them were for debris. The end was really good because they were running out of gas before the white flag.
Cool on seeing the Jr's Yacht. It will be nice to watch the race today. The past 3 days here in central FL have been pretty gloomy, cloudy and on / off rain. I hope this race safe and isn't boring like last weeks.
Stewart won. I'm so not a fan of his. I think he is a bit arrogant, and a bit of a a cry baby.
I am a huge Kyle fan. Off the track he has a great personality and he's very funny. He can flat out drive a race car. Kyle does a lot for charity, more than people might think. He was also an honor student in school. Sometimes very good competitors have tempers. Yeah, the kid can be a bit of a hot-head at times, but so was Dale Senior and people loved him.
I also like Carl.
I'll be at Darlington
How many NASCAR drivers does it take to start a jet fuel fire?
Anyone watch the races this weekend? I thought they did real good for Bristol. I was really impressed with Vickers, he did real well.
Over all both series did real well saving the cars, no hot tempers.
