Is there a way to read the gallery posts (my own gallery) without clicking on the picture?

Not wanting to sound vain...and I know that the people who are commenting are usually doing it as part of their responsibility as a DT...but I do like to read what someone took the time to write!

I thought stuff like that did use sugar free. I have no idea tho.

Not that I know of. When I post a project to the gallery, I make sure it notifies me when someone comments. I think that notification is set to NO as default. It can be changed on the first upload screen. It's the very last thing on the screen. Well...before the "submit" button.

(I'm going from memory here...gallery mod correct me if I'm incorrect.)

Yes, Melissa's right. The default is set to no & you can switch it to yes. You'll get notified every time someone leaves a comment.

I'm sure your pink lemonade would work - the KoolAid packages don't contain any sugar (you have to add that when mixing it up to drink the stuff). The only difference that I can imagine is that with the KoolAid, the powder is fairly concentrated in color - which is why kids use it to dye their hair and if you get it on your hands it can leave a streak So, using your lemonade powder might give just a hint of color vs something more vibrant when using the KoolAid.... those are some of my initial thoughts....

I'm pretty sure that what you're after is the dye in the powder.

I think the problem with using sugar-free rather than the packets that have no added sweetener at all is that they might attract bugs in time, but I'm not sure. I don't actually know if bugs are attracted to sugar-free additives like sugar. Also since I don;t use sugar-free I don;t know whether when wet it becomes and drys sticky like sugar stuff does.
Just some thoughts......

Question...what is a "One-layer" card to you?

Maybe this could be a poll...basically...is a one-layer card a single piece of cardstock OR can there be another layer on top?

This comes from one of the DTGD challenges...

Tricia, that's awesome! And so well deserved!

Kra, I think its just stamping directly on your base layer, then adding just a touch of embellishments. That's how I interpret CAS anyway, some list cards with way more layers then I would consider CAS.

I'm asking about One-Layer Cards...does it have a "popped-up" piece? Maybe I'll "google" One-Layer Cards! I'm getting so good on the computer donchaknow!

Here's a one layer that I made a few months ago: One Layer Tulips by Scraperwannabe - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I think of one layer as being one layer... with some ribbon or maybe a few little pieces of c/s cut out & added to the top.

If you do a search in the gallery search box for "one layer", you'll find some are quite literal & others have added a few things.

One layer cards are NOT my favorite at all... but like I told Lee yesterday... my one layer card will only stay a one layer card for the pic. Then it will be made into a multi-layer card!

Ha ha...you sure have solutions to life's problems! What a great attitude...

I enjoyed following those links and thought for a brief moment...I think I might for a moment regret having gotten rid of all those SU ink pads in all their colors...

Then I quickly thought how wonderful it is to have less...and I was quickly happy again with no-regret...less is best...when it comes to keeping things tidy...

When I got out of SU I purchased all the ink spots and kept all the reinkers I had - not all of them, but most. I love having the option of all those colors without the large ink pads in all the colors!

Stamp Simply is a store rather than a company, so she carries lots of ribbon, paper, embellishments, tools and LOTS of stamps, too. Verve & ODB Scripture stamps, and lots of JustRite, with a few other companies thrown in for good measure. Sharon, the owner, is a Dirty Dozen alumni, so she posted the DT call in the Design Team Call forum here on SCS. It looked like a great fit for the type of stamping that I'm concentrating on right now - i.e. making pretty cards to send to my GraceWorks ladies - so I decided to try. I feel very blessed!! I'm excited to work with some of the JustRite stamps. I haven't used them before, but Debbie Olson ( Thinking Inking ) always makes GORGEOUS cards with them. I just need to remember to be myself. My simpler style is why I got on the team, so I don't need to be someone else when I start to make cards. I need to keep reminding myself of that!!

I wondered that, too, because some of the samples were actually two layers... i decided to do a one layer collage. I like how it came out and it was EASY!

T.Joy...where do you purchase your scripture stamps mostly?

I've purchased from Blue Mountain but they changed their images so that I don't care for the new unmounted when I have to buy the adhesive to adhere them to the clear blocks myself.

I have a friend who prints her own on the computer but then I waste an entire sheet of cardstock (such as when I print the one from WordArtWednesday) because if I print more than one on a sheet it isn't the right font or on the right color of cardstock when I got to use it!

And...thanks for explaining about Simply Stamping...I followed her blog but was quite confused yesterday...will try again when my mind isn't full of sweet corn processing!

Most of my scripture stamps are from Verve. I have one ODBD set with the verse "Grow in Grace". Then I have a lot of stamps from Clear Dollar from when I was on the DT there, but they are going out of their clear stamps and into digis. I also have quite a few from The Angel Company. Red-Rubber Designs is starting to bring their sets back out... Rubber Art Stamps from Red Rubber Designs: High Quality, Deeply Etched Rubber Stamps I have a few verses in Flourishes sets, too. And it looks like Just-Rite has a few as well. If I'm actually giving the cards to the ladies to send out themselves, I'll try to ask if they prefer KJV, otherwise I don't really worry about it.

I've heard of Clear Dollar and ODBD but not the others...you seem to incorporate them so nicely into your cards...I keep trying...and now that I think to use my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig more often these stamps work better!

It's all in the tools...

Congrats Tricia!!!! Your cards are gorgeous! Very well deserved!

One layer to me is one layer of cardstock, image and sentiment stamped on the card, but embellishments can be added. (Now, if your sentiment is a glossy sticker or something that's cool, too.)

That's what DH always says. He's a mechanic and tools are his life. It's nice, though, cuz he's the one that bought me my Cuttlebug years ago. I needed the right tools!

One layer to me is one layer of cardstock, image and sentiment stamped on the card, but embellishments can be added. (Now, if your sentiment is a glossy sticker or something that's cool, too.)
Thanks, Paula!

How could I forget Sweet n Sassy! I have some of theirs, too! And The Craft's Meow has some pretty stamps with old hymn lyrics... It is well, Great is thy faithfulness... etc. I don't have those yet, but they are gorgeous!

I got a purple RAK today! Thanks... Some fun coloring ahead...

Question...how do I know if the flower is a daisy or a sunflower?
