Fun to see you pop in Lee, Have a fabulous chick weekend!

Morning! Anyone know if Paula is in the area, hit with the horrible flooding?

I will try to get to the entry way and dining area in a bit. 5 min, I can do that! The porch will have to wait, it's raining!!!

I am off to finish my last HYCCT before getting busy with a "Steve day"! :)

AND how in the world did we get to NOVEMBER so fast?????

Morning lovelies! So thankful for all of you!!

Angie, no flooding here. I know parts of Houston flooded, but didn't realize it was bad. The weather cleared up around 4 yesterday so we still had trick or treating. It was more subdued though. I have a ton of candy left.

ohmypaper! 11-01-2013 04:34 AM

Precious photo, Paula!!!! Glad you had a good night. Glad you all are safe and sound!

Scraperwannabe 11-01-2013 04:40 AM

Have fun, Lee!

Cute pic, Paula! (Can you believe we had ZERO candy?????? I didn't buy any with both boys not being able to have sugar.)

Need to get through my list before vsn starts.

mrslaird 11-01-2013 04:47 AM

VSN is TONIGHT? Holy cow! One big stamping event to the next for you crazy girls! :D So, I'm guessing one can't combine VSN and HYCCT challenges since they both have their own event galleries?

Because there aren't any prizes for vsn, you are able to combine the VSN & HYCCT. You would upload your card to the HYCCT gallery & then add the vsn keyword to the keyword box. Only 2 vsn challenges tonight.

I would really love for today to be a nice, laid-back day at home, but that ain't gonna happen. ;) I'm down to one carton of milk, have an overdue library book, and really should vote today so I don't have to figure out which polling place is the right one. Can I just vote NO straight ticket? I would like to vote NO. And I feel like there's something I keep thinking I should go to Hobby Lobby for but can't remember what it is...jeans thread maybe? A fake pumpkin since my real ones are rotting? (I've NEVER had my pumpkins go bad this early! Last year I was painting them like snowmen!)

I hope that doesn't sound like complaining. Other than the voting I'm really not complaining or grumpy. (And I am very grateful to be able to vote, but, much like fast food, I'm not thrilled with the options.) ;) But the weather is nice, even though Jeff didn't sleep he still got Archer to school on time, the living room isn't trashed, I got a card made last night, and if there's anything on my agenda for the weekend I'm not remembering it! :)

How sweet. Love your super heroes and your little fancy witch (I hope that is right - but still so cute).

Haha! She was a butterfly, but you can't really see the wings in the picture. :)

imthenoni 11-01-2013 05:25 AM

Good morning all.

Today isn't as pretty out as it has been at this time of day but I woke up on this side of the dirt so I'm happy.

My day will be a bit busy and mostly out of the house, yet again. DH ordered us 2 lbs of local honey from a co-worker so we have to go pick that up today. We also figured while we were out and that far away from home (about 25 miles) we might as well go to one of our favy resstaurants and get a lb of chicken salad after we eat a chicken salad sandwich while we're there, of course. And after that it will be stop home to drop off the chicken salad & honey and then on to daddy's to help him with a spreadsheet then dinner wtih them. After that a quick run by the grocery store to pick up a couple of things we forgot.

After all that I'll be going home and making my list for tomorrow. Not planning to go any where tomorrow.

mrslaird 11-01-2013 05:45 AM

Let's get this party started. ;)

So far:
Shower and dress
Unload, reload dishwasher
Kitchen rescue
Wash 2 sinkloads of dishes
Pay a bill
Lunch
Read 2 books to the kids
Get challah out to thaw/rise
Posted November challenge thread

Next:
Grocery store
Target for returns
Get Archer

Paula, Absolutely too cute. I love the reduced costumes for play clothes. I got some for the grands as part of their Christmas gifts. They love the Disney princesses to after these I think they will have all of them.

Hi all. Jordan is napping so I'm checking in. Then we are going to go for a ride and get dinner out. My floors are in need of attention but I'm going to wait until I send Jordan home tomorrow.

Enjoying a quiet time cup of tea:)

Have a great day.

pcousins13 11-02-2013 02:59 PM

I haven't got anything else done. I've had a tension headache the past two days and it got worst as today went on. Brent took the kids to get their hair cut so I had a nap to try to get rid of the headache. It's still lingering...but it is not as bad. I will continue on with the kitchen clean for the next few minutes and then I'll be watching a movie.

DON'T FORGET TO PUT YOUR CLOCKS BACK TONIGHT!!!

mrslaird 11-02-2013 03:11 PM

Patricia, you have rocked today, especially with a headache!

Joyce, sounds like a nice day!

We've mostly relaxed today. Our across the street neighbor had a housewarming party so I made her a card and we went over there. Threw some junk away. Tried a lemon poppy seed recipe for Jeff, but it wasn't well-written so we'll see if it turns out or not.

Thanks. :) I did manage to get all the counters cleaned AGAIN (I swear I live with a litter of piglets!), got the messy counter all done, filled and started the dishwasher, and swept the floor. I need to mop desperately, but it's not getting done tonight.

imthenoni 11-03-2013 05:53 AM

Good Sunday morning. Boy we have been a quiet bunch since Friday but I'm going to guess that everyone is working on their cards, etc for the weekend's event.

Did everyone remember to set your clocks back an hour? I did not but I woke up right around 9am and I'll add that to my list of things to get done today.

mrslaird 11-03-2013 05:54 AM

Morning! We did remember to set our clocks back, but the kids don't understand about daylight savings time, lol! It wasn't *too* early of a morning, though. :) Making some HYCCT comments. Need to shower soon and I'd like to run to the other Target. I bought a box to help tame the dvds and I like it, but they only had one and I need at least 2 more.

I'm afraid I'm the biggest piglet when it comes to the counters here and they are all FULL. I am so over it. Question: if you have a kitchenaid (or other large, heavy mixer) do you leave it on your counter or put it down somewhere? It weighs 45 lbs so it's sitting on my counter, but I don't use it everyday, sometimes not even every week, certainly often enough to keep it, though!

mrslaird 11-03-2013 05:57 AM

Hi Donna! I do have about 5 HYCCT cards left to make. Hoping to get at least 3 of them done today. All would be better, but I don't want to push it! It's a gorgeous day and I want to take the kids to the park and also do some decluttering.

mrslaird 11-03-2013 06:34 AM

Okay, time to move along, move along. (Now I have that All-American Rejects song in my head.) :)

TDD:
Shower and dress
Finish HYCCT cards started yesterday
Declutter

If you have the room in a bottom cupboard, you could store it there. I put away everything that we don't use daily and, even though we use the toaster daily, it is really light so I store that in a bottom cupboard as well. I have it placed in a disposable foil turkey roaster thingy to avoid having crumbs everywhere. I just like my counters better when there is less clutter on them.

pcousins13 11-03-2013 07:25 AM

Good morning! Errrrr...Good Afternoon! I need to get at the living room today but my mojo has been lost somewhere along the way. I guess I better go look for it...cause that living room floor needs LOTS of attention!

pcousins13 11-03-2013 07:41 AM

TDD:

Get dressed to shoes
Pick up everything in the living room area
Move the furniture out of the living room area
