Aren't they cute? I need some more skinny jeans...I would LOVE to have a black pair. I have blue skinny jeans right now. If I could lose a little weight, I want to get leggings and long sweater (they got to cover my butt and...umm...other areas!). Perhaps ever a stretchy belt over that.

Thanks. B/C I went in looking for cranberry or burgundy to go with most of the things I have. After I got the green home I tried it on with a couple of things and didnt like how it looked with what I tried. Then was thinking the only thing it wld look good with was jeans and it cost too much for the few times I would wear it with them. But I started digging and trying and now I four different ways to,wear it. So I be happy now!

That was great articles on jeans! I love Silver Jeans...but they are $100 a pair here...and I can't justify that!!! Now, if they had a 50% off sale I may consider getting a pair...they are so comfy and they look SO GOOD!

This is what I have for the black tie wedding. I want your most honest opinions! I can get different pieces and I will obviously wear makeup and fix my hair. (I'll take suggestions on that, too!) fancy is not my element!

you will be gorgeous. when you have the gorgeous palette to start out with, it's hard to mess it up. Fancy and Elegance are two different things. you are definitely Elegant in this outfit and your hair and make up will make it even more so. My honest opinion.

Love the long dress, what shoes? I'm thinking a pop of color would be a nice addition. Maybe color to the necklace?

Edited to add... My 21 year old always comments when I wear black with black accessories, but I totally wear black on black all the time!

I just went cruise shopping yesterday, 2 dresses, 2 shoes, skirt and blouse and a pair of brumuda shorts. All for under 100$

The dress is lovely. I agree though, I think you need a pop of color. I also agree you look gorgeous. I can't wait to see the picture of you all dressed up for the wedding! :D

I don't have any colored jewelry that will show. I can look around, but I don't have anything on hand. I do have red lipstick. ;) I might need to get something with some staying power? Not sure how long mine really lasts. Which reminds me I need to dig through my vintage purses for something! Eek, forgot about that! Shoes are gonna be black. I wear heels too infrequently to buy anything else unless it's uber cheap. ;)

What about the purse you're gonna carry. Does it have color or can you add color to it?

But, please don't stress about it. The fact is that you look great! And whenever i fret over these situations I remind myself that it's not about me. Especially at a wedding. ;)

Haha! Totally! My only goal is to not be the person irritable grandmothers and aunts cluck over at breakfast the next day. ;) I told my mom many a beloved heroine has been the plainest, simplest person at a ball so it's all good! As long as it's appropriate, that is. ;)

As for the purse, I have three I can use. Two are black, one is red. The red is the biggest and the least evening. I've given away all my others. I'm leaning to one of the blacks, but I'll try them all out.

Definitely wouldn't stress either. It must be a fancy smancey wedding to be black tie for everyone. Will we see you in background photos in the tabloid magazines? And how is hubs with going black tie? My husband would be complaining the whole way to the chapel!

The cruise is in April. I don't want to put the exact dates because dd will be home alone. I'm so excited!

Any suggestions for good comfy white walking saddles? My feet can't take old navy flip flops more the to the pool!

Today I looked in my closet and sighed because I am SO VERY TIRED Of winter clothes.
When DH came out of the bathroom I said, we have way too many months of wool and not near enough months of cotton. He got a big chuckle out of that! :grin:

I love the croc flip flops. Very cushiony. I wonder if naturalize makes some.
