Glad to have FlyLady back on her correct schedule! ;)

July...I requested "vacation" time from my family to participate in the DTGD Challenges...I'll let you know the answer! :D

RB & PS are traveling home today...appears they are near Hunker, PA...they started back late last night...got a hotel...

Busy day ahead for me...need to make a list and hit eject...

ashjoy 07-01-2013 03:48 AM

Kramomma, I had to mapquest Hunker as I had never heard of it. Next time they travel to agents burg we should plan a stamp weekend, they could drop you off on the way and pick you up heading home.

Today, I will take some extra time and do my front entrance windows as I just did the sweeping for Saturdays company. I do need to do some paint touch up around the door, but it looks like rain here today so that will have to wait.

Today
Kitchen routine
Garden routine
Laundry load a day
Mini mission
Whit sponge around door handles
Windex fridge.

Scraperwannabe 07-01-2013 03:55 AM

Before 9:40...

After yesterdays inspiration I just want to play today, but I will at a minimum clean off my Dining room table. It's piled a mile high with stuff from various craft projects.

As a side note sadly I did spend more than I hoped to, but that's because there were items that I didn't get last year that I regretted not getting all year and they were still there this year so guess where they live now. Mostly what I got were specialty papers and Zentangle stamps. I am addicted to Zentangle in any for or any medium. I played a bit last night after getting home. I've stated a technique/idea book and I wanted to get samples and directions for some of my new techniques I learned before my senior mind forgot them. Still have a few more to chronicle today.
Oh I also found a refillable blender pen that comes with replaceable nibs. I go through bllender pens like crazy and will enjoy being able to refill it. Now some one will probably tell me it is the same thing as the Copic blender pen, but I wasn't sure and didn't want to have to wait another year to get it or have to pay shipping so I just got it! I used it last night water coloring on velum and it worked great!

mrslaird 07-01-2013 06:05 AM

Okay, well, I'm not entirely sure what we're doing today. I need to call my aunt and let her know my sister is here. Today or tomorrow we will go to the science museum. Not sure what we'll do on the other days. It's the first so I need to pay some bills and I have 3 loads of laundry to fold.

pcousins13 07-01-2013 07:30 AM

Its a rainy Canada Day...no fun at all....

Gives me more time to work on the housework, though!

mrslaird 07-01-2013 07:58 AM

So far today:
Emailed a lady about a dog - we might have found one to adopt!
Called the dr office about a rx
Breakfast
Gave Yael some art supplies from my hoard ;)
Called Mom to update her on Jeff's eye - good report this time, they took the protective lens off, he's cleared to drive

Next:
Shower
Pay phone bill, electric bill, gas bill
Fold clothes
Call Aunt

Time to have a quick bite before I start my list...have a list in each room...it isn't really crisis cleaning...just need some place to get started...

Hey y'all! We ran to Target to get a couple of things and by a local cupcake shop. I will not be back except for special occasions as they were not cheap, but they do look yummy.

The kids talked Yael into watching Wreck It Ralph with them and we are eating lunch so we can enjoy the cuppies soon. ;) Maybe we can all do something artsy after that. I have a card I want to make, she brought her sketch pad, and the boys are begging for a craft.

Still need to pay bills, finish working out the budget, and cleaning up some more. I got one load of clothes folded and put away, two more to go.

pcousins13 07-01-2013 12:29 PM

Looks like we will be doing Canada Day with Brent's family. His sister just called and said they are having a fire, roasting wieners and stuff, and shooting off fire works down by the river. Too bad Brent is working. :( But, we will go and have fun for him! Now I gotta go fish out the Canada Day stuff so we can look festive!

ashjoy 07-01-2013 01:16 PM

Happy Canada Day!

We are cooking out with friends coming to finish up the clams from yesterday. Grilling a pork roast and fruit salad.

Just need to make beds and ill be done for the day.

stampingkwilter 07-01-2013 01:25 PM

Happy Canada Day Patricia. It's no special day here in FL but it is raining once again..... Where oh where is FL sunshine??? Sure wish we could redirect some of this east coast rain back west where they need it!

Not feeling like eating alone tonight, but no one around to eat with. So.......do I go out to eat and eat alone but at least in a room with other people, do I just not eat, or do I just force food down and call it a night? Given its raining I don't really want to go out. I do need to eat, so I guess I will force the food down. Why oh why since I don't like to eat don't I loose weight........????? I guess because when I don't want to eat, healthy foods are at the bottom of the list of things to force myself eat. I don't care anyone says burgers and fries are much more appealing than a salad.......And a bowl of ice cream is more enticing than a bowl of yogurt.

Now I am really getting worried....I seem to be just talking to myself......and having an back and forth discussion at that. Woman is not meant to live alone.......

Hugs!!!! What about a green smoothie? It's easier to drink than eat when you don't feel like eating. Or soup? Kinda the same principle. Or just something light - a sandwich and salad?

You can join me and have a protein bar. Sorry your not feeling up to eating.

imthenoni 07-01-2013 05:08 PM

Hello everyone. Boy does time fly having fun or no. I have missed y'all and the thread but have been very busy with the accreditation stuff then my dad's hip replacement surgery, all my girls being sick and now I'm sick. I'd much rather have been with you ladies.

stampingkwilter 07-01-2013 05:09 PM

I ended up digging around in freezer and found some leftover Eggplant Parmesan. IT was something to eat, but I can't say I enjoyed it. I do not like leftovers especially when they've been frozen. Ok I know I'm whining....but dinner is over and I did get my dining room table cleaned and three cards made to day so other than eating it has been a good day.

Suzanne

kramomma 07-01-2013 05:33 PM

stampingkwilter...time to go to the thankful thread...

1) made 1 card
2) made a second card
3) made a third card
4) had food in the freezer to eat
5) had appliance to make said food
6) had a clean table on which to eat
7) posted on SCS Flybabies and kramomma read what I wrote!

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Just in case you needed 7 reasons to be thankful before you go to bed tonight!

edith199 07-01-2013 05:34 PM

I won't be eating healthy for dinner tonight... the long hot drive has sapped my energy and actually I am not feeling great. I will drink water though and then early to bed. I hope a good night of rest will help.
When I got home, I found out DD2 is not well. She's already off to bed for the night; I gave her some meds - hopefully she can kick whatever it is that she's fighting.

Patricia, any further word on the fire & evacuations? I'm not getting much news here about it. Did read about the 19 men that lost their lives in Arizona fighting the fires there :(

Poor DD2...I hope she feels well soon. I hope you feel better too!

As for the fires...there was some rain today, and that helped. The people of Wabush was able to return to their homes today, so that's a good sign! The firefighters are still out battling the blazes, though.

I heard about the Arizona tragedy too...so sad. :(

pcousins13 07-01-2013 05:56 PM

Our homemade Canada Day celebration was really fun! The kids got to play by the river (very slow moving...very safe) and roast wieners and marshmallows. And, the most important, they got to play together. There are 10 kids all together between Brent's kids and his siblings kids, so there is usually lots of fun to be had. Then we had fireworks! It was nice! All the other celebrations (here in the Valley and in Port aux Basques) were cancelled due to fog. The fog didn't come in where we were to until the fireworks were over.

Anyway, its late and I am going to watch a tv show now and then head to bed.

Good night!

ashjoy 07-02-2013 01:04 AM

Good morning, well maybe its still night but I can't sleep. Once again my body is not cooperating.

This is when you don't include the word good and you just say "Mornin'".:-|

It was mornin' before I got to bed since RB & PS got home just minutes before midnight and for the next hour we heard about tidbits of their trip...

Am sure there will be more tidbits over the next few days...

A tad of my heart hurts for PS as she has now seen unkindness from outside our home...it just isn't how we treat one another or talk to one another.

Illegal drugs and alcohol do not mix and made for a violent person at the reenactment with even the police department being called.

Obviously since it was top on the list of sharing it has deeply affected her so am expecting that conversation to be talked about additionally.

My day ahead...uncertain in timing...but I'll be all ears! :D

Scraperwannabe 07-02-2013 04:25 AM

Today's Mini Mission:

Let's spend a few minutes in the dining room, dusting the table & chairs. If you polish the wood, today's the day!

ashjoy 07-02-2013 04:34 AM

Oh no Kramomma, how unfortunate. How old is PS? Hopefullyully she wasn't that close to the situation and no one was hurt?

It's still mornin'....considering my course of action..just let it work itself out or call the chiropractor? Sometimes I hurt worse a few days after the chiropractor. Wish they would just do more massage and less cracking and twisting.

I can't hit the "like" button here, but if there was a "understand" button I could hit that. So sorry you had a rough night. I have those often and they are no fun. Hope today isn't too challenging after a bad night.
Suzanne

stampingkwilter 07-02-2013 05:42 AM

Kramomma, I will keep PS in my prayers. It is never easy to be faced with unkindness in our world, but it is even harder when it comes at you unexpectedly and at a time when things "should be" fun and happy. I will also pray for discernment on your part as to how to help and support her as she works through this.

Thanks for the gentle nudge......I do have so much to be thankful for. It is sometime too easy to lose sight of that. Which is of course why I started that thread.......
