LuvLee 12-31-2013 09:13 PM

I still have about 45 minutes to go til the New Year! :D

kramomma 01-01-2014 12:18 AM

Have been awake an hour already...not a good way to start 2014. Decided to quit laying there...

Got on-line...looking through ATRS for the customized stamp information! I am going to pay the shipping price and be done with this...going to cross it off the list of personal wants...I hope to find a way to use my own handwriting! I think that would be worth the price of the stamp including shipping...

mollymoo951 01-01-2014 04:06 AM

Happy New Year!

:D

I made it to Newfoundland time!

ashjoy 01-01-2014 04:35 AM

Happy New Year!
I made it to Newfoundland time as well. But....our big screen TV sound just stopped working so Ed was up after everyone left to try to get it working. Looks like a chip went in it....not a good way to start the new year!

Plan for today...
Stay in my Pajammas
Clean up from last nights party.
Hop thru a few more blogs for the hop Lee is part of, its huge!
Scrap.

mrslaird 01-01-2014 05:29 AM

Happy new year! Didn't get to bed as early as I hoped, but still beat the new year. ;) I suspect a trip to the grocery store is in order. Hope to make cards. Breakfast. Coffee. Etc. :)

mrslaird 01-01-2014 05:38 AM

Oh nice! I forgot about the seasons giving hop. I can't buy, but I can try to win. ;)

imthenoni 01-01-2014 05:38 AM

Happy New Year Day to you all.

I was up until just after midnight here then crashed and burned. I probably wouldn't be up now except for the fact that I have 3 adults and 2 children coming over this afternoon expecting to be fed so I need to get cracking.

I got the hog jawl ready for cooking last night and pray that DH will get up and fix it otherwise I may not be able to eat any of it, but he has to work 6pm - 6am so he may not.

I've eaten breakfast
made my side of the bed (hard to make the whole thing when someone is still in it)

I'm getting ready to take my am meds
fix a pot of coffee
peel & chop potatoes for potato salad
boil potatoes & eggs (eggs for the salad & deviled eggs too)
put the ham on to bake
get the collards cooking
get the black eyed peas cooking

Later on (since they aren't due here until 3ish) I'll
fix the cornbread
set the table
make a gallon of tea

wash up the dishes I've used so far

Hope y'all had a great new years eve and feel rested this am. I hope the sickies are feeling much better as well.

kramomma 01-01-2014 05:43 AM

Going to:

JoAnn's
Mill End
Hancock's
Menard's
Red Lobster
Aldi
Wally
Michael's

Will share that list with krapoppa and he can decide the order...I hope to not spend lots of time at any one place...just look for what's on my list and leave...

I bought a ATG on clearance to resell to someone but can't remember who still wanted one...I'm going to look for some tape to go with it...

Am over an hour behind on schedule but...it's Jan. 1 so there is no time schedule needed...just places to go before 6 PM...

Willing to share a link so others can be in count...or do you want to keep it a secret? :p

ohmypaper! 01-01-2014 05:47 AM

My sister and I facetimed at New Year on E's ipad. That was fun!!!!

I had coffee mid afternoon so I didn't feel the time...I Hopped a couple of the Season's Giving Hop, worked on a card and discovered it was 2:30! YIKES!

I am up and at'em, bright and bushy tailed this morning. About to go finish the card on the desk and would like to get 2 more done today.....probably a pipe dream but a girl can hope! :)

:) Happy 2014 everyone!

I find it hard to make a bed even when no one is in it! I despise making beds but I like the look of a made bed...go figure...

Since starting FlyLady Living krapoppa and I have been making our bed together when we both get up at the same time...I like that A LOT...and my children's beds get made by them...

I also learned that it is easier to make a bed when there isn't a sheet and blanket, my kids didn't get sheets on their beds for a couple of years...so much nicer for them...

ashjoy 01-01-2014 05:49 AM

This is the first stop for the huge hop!
the Lawn Fawn blog

ashjoy 01-01-2014 05:51 AM

As I was hopping I thought of my olw, it will be FOCUS. No idea how I will interpret or use it in my crafting, but there you have it.

How do they keep track if you comment on each person's blog? And...do you have to leave a different comment on each blog?

Sometimes the person's stamp isn't me...so I don't leave a comment because I think of Bambi's mother...If you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all...

I really like the part where Bambi says...You can call me Flower if you want to...that makes me smile all.the.time. :D

kramomma 01-01-2014 06:02 AM

My word for 2014 will be "complete".

There are several ways to use it...

One is how this song reminds me...

Complete In Thee by Benjamin Everson - YouTube

pcousins13 01-01-2014 06:17 AM

I need a short list for the next hour or so. Brent and the kids are gone to his parents house for brunch. I stayed behind to make a cake for my birthday boy, who turns 12 today. Where the heck did that time go!!!

So, for the next hour, I need to:
Mix/bake cake
Clean the counters
Let cake cool
Switch laundry
Load/start dishwasher

I think that's good for an hour!

chercher 01-01-2014 06:21 AM

Good morning y'all! :D

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2014!!! :D

chercher 01-01-2014 06:24 AM

We had a great time last night. We were invited to a party by our contractor/new friend. Iwas at our local rodeo arena (inside) and it was full of all Dripping Springs rodeo supporters. Good down to earth people with great country music and pot luck dinner. I was surprised by what a good time we had and we are invited back next year. Slowly building some friendships there. :D

chercher 01-01-2014 06:28 AM

Today going to mom and dads to finally celebrate Christmas. Dsis doing better each day.
I've already got potatoes boiling for potato salad
Got the pickles and onions chopped and the "dressing" made
Got black eyed peas warming up.
Gotta be there by 11:30

Haven't had a moment to reflect on 2013 or plan for 2014. Maybe this afternoon.

You're right, it is easier by far to make an empty bed but dh works 6pm to 6am or vice versa so often it isn't time for him to get up or he has not been in bed long when I get up. I tend to straighten it up after he gets hi guess we do what works for us.

So, for the next hour, I need to:

Clean the counters

Switch laundry
Load/start dishwasher

I think that's good for an hour!

Kramomma.....nope...you do not have to comment on each blog. Just follow each blog's particular direction. I think some of the girls ask a specific question to be included in their blog candy but most of us don't. I said for people to share a winter memory but it is not a requirement...I'll choose my winner randomly from all of the comments. And we are not keeping track with each other...so there definitely is a chance for a double winner somewhere along the way! This is my second year doing it and it's fun! I'm hoping to actually also be able to hop too!

ashjoy 01-01-2014 07:01 AM

I just hopped in order, no need to keep track. If I didn't have a major comment to say I just said happy new year. Thanks for the giveaway. Or something like that.

The Tournament of Roses parade just started! Well...here in my time zone anyway! ;) It's the 125th year!! That is a long time! I love this start showing the decades!!! I'm in my jammies on the couch with my laptop and some apple juice! I know how to walk the wild side, don't I???!!!

ashjoy 01-01-2014 07:05 AM

I did see a couple had questions to answer. I'll have carpal tunnel until I get to them all! And I missed Lee's question. I think I look at pictures on blogs more then anything.

Um...we have almost the same word.

I was going with finish.

Not the dishwasher detergent.

LuvLee 01-01-2014 07:12 AM

No worries Joyce...mine was just for fun...not a requirement!

I have no idea yet for a word for 2014.....it sure is gonna be a HUGE year.....hmmm.....

mollymoo951 01-01-2014 07:12 AM

Building explosion in MN...

I hope it was just a gas line or something.

ashjoy 01-01-2014 07:28 AM

I feel bad for the next to the last person on the hop, her link isn't working and when I went to find her she didn't have any comments. And Megan doesn't have the hop post up. But I think I finished the hope. I do remember one had said you can stop back daily, but I can't remember which stop it was.

We could be twins:) I'm in my jammies, on my big comfy chair, with my big red fuzzy blankie, Jaec sleeping next to me as I am playing on my laptop.

I have a PenPal for this year from another forum. So I think I may make her something to get in the mail today.

Put the "under the tree" gifts away.
Drink tea!
