Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. It's not been a good week. We have a cat who is 12 years old. We got him when he was 5 months old so he is a part of the family. He has been going down hill healthwise lately and we are having to make a decision about his health care. He has a lot going on and is showing signs of kitty dementia. We could spend a small fortune on keeping him comfortable but it will only get worse so we are having to decide what to do from here. OK enough of that.

Today I have
1.washed/dryed & folded/hung 2 loads of clothes
2.done my am routine
3.eaten breakfast
4.got a load of towels in the washer
5.fed the cat
6.typed up a list of my con-ed to turn in next week

Things to do today will probably be a TDD
7.wash dishes
8.put dry dishes away
9.put away plastic ware

Next up
10.dry towels
11.fold towels
12.put towels away

Donna, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Going out to dinner with my Dad, his last remaining sibling (my Aunt Joyce) had a stroke the day before yesterday. Unfortunately I don't think the outcome is going to be very good. She lost her husband just 2 months ago. Her great gran daughter found her when she got off the bus at her house. How awful for the little one. Very sad. I was/am worried about my dad, but he seems to be doing ok.

Joyce, glad to know you are feeling better. Sorry to hear about your Aunt. Oh that would be sad for a little girl to find.

Joyce hope your going out means that you feel a bit better, but so sorry for the reason. A couple of years ago my dad lost his best friend/nephew/brother. They were very close in age as daddy was the baby and his sister (the nephew's mother) was 4th in line. My brother and I thought that daddy might have a real problem with it but he has done remarkedly well. He still misses Wayne but he's better than we epected. Daddy was the baby of 13 and there are only 3 left now. He's 77, the next is 84 (only sister left & she's all the way across the country) and the other is 83.

I say all this to say that I hope your dad does the same. I will have you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Joyce, glad you are feeling better! Now I know why you like cursing so much. Is there a list to get on for short call/cheap prices or do you just watch online?

Cher, you are so right. I KNOW in my head from a clinical point of view that even if we take him to the vet; have them do all the tests; have any surgery, etc that they suggest; give him all the meds they may suggest that we will only be prolonging his life and that the quality may not be very good. I also KNOW that his quality of life is not good now and has been declining for the last several months. It is with my heart that I'm sad.

I will get through this and remember him as a loving pet. DH will be taking him to the vet tomorrow while I am at work. DH said he did not want me to be home when he took him. So I'm probably going to be a snotbaby tomorrow. But I also KNOW that he will be in such a better place. I like to think that our pets go to heaven so he'll be there with my other pets.

Cursing?! Made me lol!

We have never done a short call, we have to plan ahead. My husbands job doesn't alow for him to take off that long on short notice. We just usually book directly thru Carnival. And have never done a cruiser for less then 8 days.

So glad you had fun! My dd says we are going again in April, but we haven't started booking yet. I'll let you know the cruise, it would be awesome if we could get on the same one. What port is closest to you? Maryland maybe?

But yo could fly to NY to board free right? That would be even better, it's only a little over 2 hours to there. If we have to add airfare from here it doubles thcost of the cruise, we only have a tiny airport. AVP, and I've never been able to fly fort less then 600$

Today's Mini Mission:

We are in the living room zone for just a few days this month. Your mission for today is to do a weekend room rescue in the room you consider your "living room".

Morning y'all! Busy weekend! Friday we had our playgroup costume party, Saturday morning we did Zoo Boo, Saturday afternoon we had a birthday party, Saturday night I filled a large trash bag in my craft room (mostly full anyway), and yesterday Jeff was on the computer a lot so I made HYCCT cards.

Catching up on my challenge comments right now.

cold and bright here. i have load of sheets and whites washed and waiting to go on the lines. thought i would let it get up to at least 35 before i hang them out. it is 29 right now. no wind though so it doesn't feel so cold but the lines are in the shade for right now.

will do WHB and then spend some time in office on paperwork. slow day today last week was so busy that this week feels like a lot of time before me.

Morning!

I won't even mention how unbelievably tornado-ish my house looks right now... I'm going to have to do the 5 minute time trial run for the next hour or so! (5 minute time trial run = 5 minutes on the timer per task... I can't face a full 15 minutes on each one right now!)

Ready, set, GO!

Good morning.
I'm relaxing in the tub after going for a walk. Figured I need the sun a bit today. Eating very bland today. Not sure what set. Me off but something sure is not letting my belly settle.

Paula, what a cute pic. Did your costume come together?

I'm going to have Jordan tomorrow until Sunday. Ed is working late this week training a new manager and Ashlyn is in WV. I'm sure the little one will keep me busy. I'm hoping for some craft time! Haven't had any in forever, although I did do some cleaning up this weekend in the craft room.

Today.
Laundry towels, sheets and sneakers. Then run a cleaning cycle in the washer.
Kitchen routine
Garden, start fall prep so I can plant garlic this week. We had a really good frost this morning so I can plant anytime now, he trick is to get it done before snow so I need to not procrastinate.
Mini mission

Have a great day

OK then. An hour of time trials, an hour of 13 wiggly first-sixth graders for choir, and a half hour of making rolls and pizza crust and I am ready to SIT DOWN!! I'm glad it is almost lunch time!!

i vote for super-sized extra Amelia energy I'm feeling sluggish today; we went from +18C on Saturday to -10C yesterday, with about 4" snow. I was in Camrose so didn't get to see it happen but thankfully we're heading back into + temperatures in a couple of days

Brrr..is right! Its a beautiful fall day here. Hanging just around 50*F.

Laundry towels and sneakers. Then run a cleaning cycle in the washer. Done
Kitchen routine, done
Cleaned out fridge done
Garden, start fall prep so I can plant garlic this week. We had a really good frost this morning so I can plant anytime now, he trick is to get it done before snow so I need to not procrastinate.
Mini mission done
Ordered books done (Olivia Cunning series) first book was awesome so can't wait to read more from her.
Do a quick kid proof to make sure things are in order for tomorrow.

I am burning a Yankee candle and it is actually making my house smoky. I've even cut the wick down. I've never had a candle smoke this bad.
