Things to do on our trip

*copy my pictures to 2 USB drives (1 to store at my dad's and the other to store at dd1's just in case) - this may get pushed off as something to do at night while on the trip
*decide on the 149 pics I want to print next week (btw Shapfish has a "limited time offer" 99 pics for $0.99 + s/s) - this may get pushed off as something to do at night while on the trip too

I'm also planning to do some reading while there as well.

I'll check in some while there so then back at it for real on Sunday or Monday.

Hope you ahve a great rest of your week and weekend.

Today's Mini Mission:

Main Bathroom: pretend you have guests coming over & look at the main bathroom. What needs to be taken care of in 5 min? (You can't repaint, buy that shower curtain you have been eyeing, etc.) Guests would rather have clean than cute!

Other: Spend a few minutes doing a purse boogie.

Morning! Stayed up late watching tv with Jeff. No cards made - I'm getting way behind on HYCCT! - but I did finish up two projects that have been sitting around for a while and can be mailed off today and started another that has been cut forever.

A few things I need to do this morning:
Call insurance company
Call pediatrician
Order Jeff's car part
Call my mom

Only one of those is any fun so we'll see how long that takes. I really can't get on with my day until I do the first two, though.

Morning! So I guess life is back to normal. Meaning I don't stay home all day long. I will be leaving for Sarah's around noon.
Quiet time in, brfst done, dishes cleaned up, I am going to pack the car with what I want to take along and then I am going to stamp. Gilbert ironed all his own shirts last night and the basement can wait. I will be at Sarah's until Saturday
I did do anti p task yesterday and s rubbed the tub in the guest bathroom. The entire house got cleaned and it looks good around here!

Morning! My day is off to an ok start, despite the gray, rainy, chilliness outside. Inside it is warm and cozy, cuz I started the little electric heater.

Lots of little things on my list today, plus choir and piano lessons. Best get busy!!

I did the first 3, but the first one doesn't count. They are experiencing technical difficulties. Anyway. It's too early to call my mom so I'm going to move on for a bit.

Next:
Shower and dress
Start a load of laundry
Clean the front bathroom

Hey everyone.....just crazy life. I keep thinking it will settle down into some type of slower routine....but that's not happening just yet. Apparently the fates were not happy when I kept saying that once my kids were grown I'd have a quiet life! At least we get to head home tonite and hopefully we still have lots of snow up on the mountain! LOL

WELCOME HOME JOYCE!!!!!!!!!! I hope you had fun....share a pic with us!!!

I agree with you all....helping someone else is much more enjoyable!!

Now it's time to S & D (kramomma's definition) so I'll be ready to S & D (my definition) when my friend gets here for our walk!

Work on finding my stamping table
Look through my Cards Mag. For a fun card idea
Take a nap
Eat lunch (thanks friend)
Make said card
Take nap

On your stamping table I am certain there is a small basket that has cards in it that you have received...use one of those as a layout idea and get started...I know how long you take to look through magazines and get sidetracked!

Get started creating!!!!

Over the past year or so of not creating I have pretty much depleted the supply. .
I have put away all of the ribbon, felt, and dies. Now I need to clean and put away stamps from 12 different sets. I rinsed out my stamp cleaning pad and while that drains I will shower and dress.

I will try not to get sidetracked as I look through Cards. I will only grab one, the November issue.

Ok. Well. My insurance company is still experiencing technical difficulties. I was going to roll my eyes, but I suspect that's part of my attitude problem so nevermind.

I did finally find the right dental statement. Now I need to see if I can scan it and save it to my computer somewhere I can find it and get it sent in so I can start getting reimbursed for these out of pocket expenses.

Next:
Hang clothes to dry
Lunch
Try to finish my card

Stamps cleaned and put away. I only have 1 stamp without a home. It is PTI and says "hoppy hello". Any clue where it belongs? Now that I have posted this I'm sure I will figure it out. It has to have a frog in it! It is not "Boy Basic: Frog Hop". Hmmmmmm

The flu has hit me pretty had today, I can hardly move. My head is killing me and its worse if I get up. I tried to sip tea but it's not going so well. Other then taking Tylenol every 4 hours I don't think ill be doing much else today. I haven't been able to get much fluid in today, less then cup. I'm hoping this is a 24 hour thing. And now I'm wishing I would have gained weight on the cruise. I think I could use some I.v fluid.

Cruise pics are on fb Lee.

Congrats Tricia on the flourishes guest spot,

Joyce, I also hope this icky feeling ends very soon!

Another PTI question... (I am so out of the stamping groove )

I have some CS that is not in a package thus I have no idea of the color. It is lighter than fine linen, lighter than soft stone, lighter than vintage cream, darker than white. It has no "speckles" in it. Does rustic white have speckles? What color am I? The PTI website is no help!

1. It didn't feel PTIish
2. I kept finding more and more of it.
3. I compared it with the CS in my printer.

Bullseye! I can't use PTI for school stuff cuz it is too heavy for my kiddos to cut! I never realized the color difference b4. It looks white until compared to PTI.
Mystery solved!

Layers are cut for 8 TY cards! . Now if I can remember how to put a card together...

By the time I finish the applesauce and I could come help you it will be time for you to take your mother to coffee (I hope you are taking her and be sure to tell her I said you needed to do it!)...so I'll go stamp my card for today for HYCCT...

Double-sided tape works great...and don't you have an ATG?

Today I got my lowest mark for this term so far. I got 84% on a communications test. Not too bad...but low for me in communications. The other three girls go 60%, 48%, and 40%. We are having trouble with the instructor. She do not lecture us, or go over our work with us. We had no idea if we were on the right track or what the test was going to be like. Me, being me, I went and studied the book and absorbed as much as Icould from it...even though I didn't think that stuff was going to be on the test...because it was not at all like the exercises the instructor gave us to do. I'm glad I did because the test was based on everything in the book! I told the other girls that I was studying the book, and they looked at me weird and said there was nothing you could study (based on the exercises, they were right). I bet they wish they studied. I feel really bad for them....

I like the cards! My glue dots are at school so I had to use foam thing-a-ma-bobs and they have a little different look than I wanted but I only need to mail one of them so... all is well!

Ooh, I had one test like that. It was a history test and I studied my lecture notes like crazy, but not the book. History professors generally are not crazy about history text books. This guy was.

I hate when that happens! And I bet with history there was SO MUCH material to learn! I'm not so good with the dates and stuff...I would have probably flunked that History test of yours!

I had a test last week where our instructor gave us a study guide...he even said that everything we need to know for the test is in that guide. Know the material, get a good mark on the test. Again, I studied the study guide, but I also studies the notes that I had made from the book. I'm glad I did!!! There were a bunch of stuff on it that wasn't in our study guide! I ended up with 95%.
