Well I got my survey back and MSP says I'm an Autumn. I'm really not thinking so, because all of the colors she said I should wear I really dislike and they wash me out... but I think that the picture I sent must have been misleading, because she mentioned something about my "dark hair and dark eyes", and since my hair has never been darker than mouse-y at best, and now is mixed with lots of grey, and my eyes are a light hazel, I think it had to have been the picture. So honestly, I think I'm more Spring than Autumn. Anyway - my DH has complimented me on my outfits almost every day, and my Dad even noticed and commented that my clothes looked nice when I went the other day and he has hardly EVER said that, so that really made me smile! I'll try to attach a picture of a couple of the outfits I have laid out for my trip to Florida later this month. They aren't great pictures, but you'll get the idea. I just took them to help me remember what to pack!

very pretty. they look like spring colors to me. you should probably let her know this and she can send you a spring palette. yes, we inherently know what colors look good on us. My motto is , if i have to talk myself into it for any reason, it needs to go back on the rack. color, fit, style, etc. don't "try to make it work" if i don't go, Wow, I really like this, i don't buy it. it was a difficult lesson to learn. but i eventually got it! Thanks for sharing with us.

I'm confused...were the clothes you purchased spring or autumn?

Were the clothes you were wearing when you dh and dad noticed, spring or autumn?

In 1989 I had my colors done, it cost me about $5 to buy the swatches of colors...I still have it in my purse...and use it! Beauticontrol consultant Wendy W...still remember her!!!! Best investment I've made for clothing...

Now if I would wear something other than denim most days that would be better!

Spring, I think. Basically this color palette that I attached - which is considered warm spring.

Oh, that's cool. Did that come from MSP? Or was that online somewhere? My colors have always been a little off. My skin tone is very pink and silver is my metal, but I have a lot of red highlights in my hair and can pull off colors people always told me I shouldn't wear and can't wear others that I'm supposed to.

Yup, that's me, too!! I found the palette here... they break the seasons into 3 groups each, and most of them lean toward another season. So, for example, this warm spring would lean toward an autumn, but not quite be one. You have to scroll down the page some to find the three "types".

Oh that site is super interesting and a lot more than just the metal and one or two color drape tests they did when I was a teen. I can't decide on some of them because I like both sets of colors they list, lol!

I don't fall into the "normal" category either. I'm a winter. I don't wear part of my colors because I don't like the purples, but part of the colors I'm supposed to be able to wear, I can't. The Color Me Beautiful lady was a little stumped for a little while. We did a lot of drape tests.

I got stuff!

This in Autumn Sun and Vibrant Purple.
Luxe-touch tank | Banana Republic

This.
Belted Button-Front Embroidered Dress: Charlotte Russe

This. (And I know it looks horrifically short, but I have super short legs so it just looks normal short.)
Striped Cotton Skater Skirt: Charlotte Russe

Also a pink chevron flowy tank, dark wash ankle jeans, and a red and white stripe 3/4 length boatneck tee that I can't find pictures of.

I need a belt. I don't own one. But I'm kind of clueless as to what kind to get: skinny, wide, stretchy? Does one need all three?? I'm accessory-impaired, people!

My cousin is a genius! Did you ever dig in a bag, a drawer, your purse, a basket, looking for the things you use to put on your make up? This is a FABULOUS idea. I don't use much make up, like not every color of eye shadow or lipstick, just a couple of basic things for enhancing. I have however been certified by two different companies in their lines of skin care and make up. I have made up brides to be, prom gals, special dates and even one Mrs. Wisconsin contestant. But even with a small amount of products of my own, I LOVE how this Beauty Butler works. I can find all my brushes at a glance. I can open the products right on the pad or take them off easily whichever works best.
Before picture, everything in drawer, after picture everything organized in drawer and third pic, everything sticks with velcro and doesn't fall off when you pick it up. You can grab it and toss it in a large purse, or your luggage and it's all there. Sure makes the up and out process in the morning go quickly. no more digging. Check out her website. So I've been doing some blog reading today and that means more links for you.

refresh your makeup routine | Tiny Twig Goes Out on a Limb

naptime diaries: refresh day two | get radiant

refresh that closet! | Tiny Twig Goes Out on a Limb

naptime diaries: refresh day four | it's a no brainer

quick and easy hair! | Tiny Twig Goes Out on a Limb

naptime diaries: refresh day three | do your hairs

I especially need the help with the hair. I don't wear makeup most of the time, but it's more of an I'm not taking the time or why bother issue, which isn't really great, but my hair is much more of an I-have-no-idea-what-to-do-with-this-insanity issue than anything else. Excited to have a few things to try.

Solid red, blue, yellow, bright green, lots of colors go with black and white! I'm not good at mixing prints so hopefully someone else can help with that. A nice tank, button up with cap sleeves, sleeveless button up, shell, tee, 3/4 sleeve boat neck. Also you could wear a cropped blazer or cardi with it too.

I thought about a bright yellow tank with a short sleeve black cardi to go with it. I haven't found a bright enough yellow tank to go with it. I need to look at Old Navy. I normally don't wear white, but for .20 I decided I could find something to wear with it!

any bright color would work. i don't know which colors work best for you but Teal, Yellow, Red, Pink. I have a similar black and white skirt and i use all those colors with it. I am wearing it tonight with a long sleeved spring green t-shirt- You could also wear a sleeveless colored shell and then a sleeveless white blouse unbuttoned over it. That's what i see when i look at it.

I have is-shoes. Went to Target thinking they would have Class of 2013 mugs and gold foil seals. Um...no. Then I went to the SHOOOOOOE department.

um...brought home FOUR pairs...after I paid for them.

Don't have pics...let me see if i can find links.

Teal or yellow. Coral would be on trend. Love them!

This is my bathing suit
George Women's Mix 'n Match Swimsuit Bundle: Women : Walmart.com. The 2 piece polka dotted one.

And this tankini
OP Juniors Samoa Sunset Halterkini Top: Juniors : Walmart.com

I had to find them in the winter, and can't buy without trying on. I did really good price wise and really do like the 2 piece. I love that the bottom is wider on the sides, helps to hide the stretch marks.

Cute shoes Melissa.

Ashjoy I like the polka dot swimsuit. It so rare to find a bottom that covers more. I'm gonna go look at my Walmart.
