I did...from my bed to the brown chair...does that count?

Oh...I also made the bed
looked out the window at a yard that needs mowing
pondered how one can mow with 3 broken mowers
checked email
looked at StampTV
checked my STV order (hmm...one cardstock is out-of-order)
washed grapes
put away embossed cardstock
looked at pictures sent via the phone
put fabric pieces together to take downstairs
thought about folding whites (in the dryer)

Still to do:
chop cashews
slice grapes
mix chicken salad
get bread out of freezer
read more of Keep It Shut
sew
company comes by noon for lunch

I'll try to pause before I speak!

Good morning y'all!

Dh and I went on a long drive to Burnet Texas (about an hour) to get his grill guard and tool box installed. The garage was across the street from the town square so we walked around and stopped to have hot tea and pie. then we went wine tasting and out to dinner before returning home.

Today. Quick breakfast the we are going to do weed eating together to clear our sunset viewing area. It's too rocky to mow. We own 2 push weed walkers so it will go much faster.

Then I will go grocery shopping, come home and start baking a coconut cake and clean house for company tomorrow.

Would you share that coconut cake recipe please? Or is it a "family secret"? I always say "family secret" recipes start with a box and people are too embarrassed to admit it! If it's good...I say who cares!

Of course that statement begs a question...

Where's the trip?

We'll go to CA for a week in May, June & Aug. At least we'll only be gone a week those months & not 2 different week long trips like April. Glad we are in a "light" traveling year.

Good morning all!
Happy May from PA. I'll be home for the weekend then traveling with Ed next week to Mass.

I came home and my poor puppy looked like a homeless little guy so I had to bath and trim him up a bit and made an appointment for the groomers for next Friday. A little girl at the airport even asked why he still had his winter coat on. lol

I think I 'm having a reaction to the prednisone. I woke up this morning and have gained 10 pounds since started it, and my back side and legs feel like I ran a marathon. I put a call in to the rheumatologist this morning but have yet to hear back. I did not take todays does. It's really odd because the last few days I was feeling much better. Hardly any joint pain at all. Then last night I started feeling just not quite right and by 6am could hardly walk down the stairs to let Jaec out.

My husband did a fabulous job of keeping up on house hold stuff and laundry. I did lose two house plants. But my garden is start to show signs of life so that was something nice to come home to.

I cried like a baby at the airport yesterday. What an emotional day.

Wow I'm exhausted!
1.5 hours weed whacking with the push whacker.
1.5 hours weeding vegie garden and planting cucumbers and squash.
Quick lunch of leftover tuna.
Grocery shopping
Put away groceries
Vacuum whole house
Cleaned the kitchen.

Still todo
Mop
Dust
Bake cake
Make dinner
Clean kitchen again!

My birthday is the 14th.

And yes imwill share the recipe.
I'm combining 2 recipes actually. It's from a Bobby Flay throw down. My sister bought the book.
I'm making the competitors cake and cream cheese frosting. I'm making bobby flays custard filling and coconut glaze and imam toasting the coconut like Bobby Flay. Bobby Flay won this throw down.

Let me try this combo and then I will figure out a way to post it.

Good morning y'all!

It's Crawfish Boil Day.

Lots to do! The cake has to be assemble and put in the fridge for four hours and then iced. So that will be first. Company doesn't com until 5. There will be 9 of us.

Last night I baked the cakes. 3 of them but when I went to wrap them up I broke one in half. gonna save that one for my parents. They don't like the coconut on it anyways. But a six layer cake would have been impressive. I made the coconut simple syrup. Yum! I made the coconut custard. Today I need to make the icing. Guess I'd better layout the butter and cream cheese.

Todo.
Assemble cake
Mop
Dust
Clean kitchen again
Plant a new tomato plant
Help dh with yard work
Tidy up master bedroom.

Hey y'all! Hope you're having a great May! Pretty good here so far. Only bad thing is we're all trying to get sick.

Glad you made it home, Joyce!

Enjoy your crawfish boil, Cher! Better you than me. I have traumatic childhood experiences with crawfish.

Kramomma, CiCi510's name is Christi.

I also mopped, dusted, payed bills and cleaned a couple of cooling racks.

I made the slaw and got into a large Baggie. It didn't look like enough so I chopped more cabbage and added it to the bag. As I was trying to mix it in the bag the bag popped open and I lost some of the slaw onto my nice clean kitchen floor!!! cleaned up the mess. Now I don't have enough slaw! So ........chop more cabbage and this time mix it with my clean hands.

Got butter and cream cheese coming to room temp. I think it's time to rest in the bath!!!

Took 11 little girl dresses to church today for giving away and it was a complete success...I came home empty handed...one little girl changed her dress as soon as she got a new one!

Now I need to work on making some very simple cards for a card class I'm giving tomorrow to a few OLDER ladies! I also need to write up directions.

OKAY...the driveway monitor keeps beeping from a storm that is brewing...best get out of my chair and unplug it!
