Several years back...I wanted a dairy association coat...and the dairy association had just bought a fiberglass milkable cow! They wanted names! So I submitted MollyMoo!

I came in fifth place. Maybe it was fourth place? I saved the article...somewhere. I should scrap it with the pics of me attempting to milk the milkable fiberglass cow. I submitted the ONLY name without Kentucky or Bluegrass in it.

I wanted that COAT!

AND...I do have a pic of me milking the milkable fiberglass cow. named Kentucky Kate. A bit more creativity people. MollyMoo.
Oh, I'm SURE there were cows! We just never made it to the livestock show area. Seriously this place is crazy big. The milking display was part of a farming walk through for school kids to teach them where food comes from.

Write big! I'm the world's worst at sending thank yous. I am almost always late. These are late. They will be very simple. There's nothing wrong with simple, though.

I think just saying - Thanks for the whatever it is you're thanking them for. It's so sweet of you. Or for thinking of us. Or it meant a lot. - would all work. But I've never sent unhappy thank yous before...

And he just told me he wants to cut them out himself. Not the die cuts I was wanting to do. Let it go, mama, they're his cards!

Hello everyone,
Paula, poor little one, you would think they would have rides for all sizes at a family oriented event.
Thank you notes are tough. I always feel like you have to say something personal, I remember commenting on food after a funeral, even though honestly I never even tried it.

So far today...
Dishwasher/ counters done
Laundry done
Made a fabric basket

Tried to have lunch and my belly has been rumbling ever since. I'm not feeling so good, hoping its not more then an upset belly. I've managed to avoid the flu so far this year.

Going to take a nap. Have a good day.

while I am grateful we have a full service grocery store only three blocks from us, i do indeed appreciate the prices at Aldis. Here is $15.87 worth of groceries from our new store. it's not organic, not specialty brands, just plain old veggies. i was surprised. no meat, no icecream, no high end items. This would cost me about six bucks at Aldis or less, only i would not have been able to get Cilantro. which was $1.69, so w/o that it would have been $14.18 and we have no tax on food so it is what it is.

$6 is pretty good! I'm thinking that would be $8-$12 at HEB. The tomato is the highest variable, I think. Not sure what kind of lettuce that is or what it runs. I basically only buy the hydroponic lettuce, which is high.

It's not lettuce, it's just a humble cabbage. One small head of romaine lettuce and I do mean small, wa s$2.00 the other day.

b/c you mentioned tomato i got my slip out and looked. what they did was charge me for a pint of tomatoes and all i had was the one, (luckily we are close, i took it back and exchanged it for the pint) also in looking the highest variable was......are you ready for this? The cauliflower. it is $2.69 per POUND. that little head cost six bucks alone. we will enjoy eating that, yes we will!

Man our dog is expensive this month. It was $110 for 10 days worth of antibiotics. This medicine he needs is not available in a people version. Those are some expensive pills.

I just hope this clears his ears and we can keep them clear after this.

We had another total slacker day here. I did fold 4 loads of laundry and wash more towels.

I hope I am feeling better tomorrow and get a better nights sleep tonight.

Brrrrr! We were in the 30's in the mornings all weekend and it felt cold...brrrrr looking at your pics. MN relatives came down and kept saying it was cold. I told them, "see.....just because it doesn't get in the single digits here...doesn't mean it isn't cold". Your snow looks VERY cold though!!!

We're home from the store. I'm tired. Making supper. Wishing I'd gotten more done today, but c'est la vie. Hoping to craft a little tonight.

Isn't it CRAZY!!! I can't believe how much I am spending on food for us these days. I think Grandparents got a good appreciation of what we are spending on the ...um....eating machine.

We laughed and said that when we come up this summer if MIL is going to serve pies she needs to have one for each grandson to eat all to themselves.

This is the most hilarious commercial! I laugh at it every time especially when they mention pie! It's just so funny because we are going through this...Steve and i are tall so I guess that part isn't exactly us but I am not sure I envisioned quite this.....

Grandma passed away yesterday around noon. Even though I knew it was coming, it is still hard. I was over at her house today. So many memories there. 43 years' worth. I spent a lot of time there, esp. after my parents divorced and my dad was living there. On his weekends, we would stay there. The kids took the news pretty well. I made a little book for them to explain it an borrowed some books from the school social worker. Kylie wants to go to the funeral home and Jayden just asked me tonight if he could see Grandma. I told him Grandma wasn't coming back and he said, "No...in the...basket". (casket) I told him he could if he wanted to but he didn't have to. So we will take them for a little bit and the DH will take them back to his parents'.

I have a feeling I'll be adding more as I go throught the day but that's my start
DS's gf called as we left lunch all in a lather and wanted to talk with dd1. She came to the house and talked about ds & their now, most likely, failed relationship. We sat and talked for 1.5 hours and I missed having dinner with dh as he had to be at work at 5:30 instead of 6. So I did not get to make dinner tonight for us and dd1 & I did not get to go through the stamps and I didn't get to make the call ref the car. This is the 2nd time in a row that dd1 & I were at or just after a chiropractor appt and ds's gf calls all upset and blows the rest of our day. We knew that this was coming because she is very insecure and was checking his phone for other numbers, texts and the like. My theory is if you can't trust your partner then you probably don't need to be around them. I'm just frustrated that twice I made plans to do things with dd1 to help me and they were crapped on. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day.

Hope y'all had a better day than mine.

Sorry for your loss. I'm sure that heaven celebrated yesterday. I think it is sweet that your kiddo's want to go and had to giggle about the "basket". I can hear my dgd1 saying something like that stressing the words like "duh noni". It has been a researched situation about allowing children to say their goodbys to deceased lovedones makes the passing easier on them.

Hugs and prayers for you adn yoru family.

Would someone come sit in the red chair to help me know what to write that doesn't sound like a form letter?
I helped dd1 write the thank you notes to all the people who sent flowers, brought food, provided services, etc after Buddy passed away. So I get the Unhappy thank you notes. We even had to write one to my dbil for missing a class to escort the funeral procession from the church to the 20 miles to the road for the church. Normally they have a city LEO to escort to the city line; county LEO to the county line, if you go past one; a deputy of that county, etc. He took us from the church through town, into the county, into the 2nd county and to the road of the church.

Anyway - We wrote fairly large to help take up more space and wrote something like - the date at the top right and their name on the left then - Thank you for your thoughtfulness during our time of despiration. Your taking the time to ...(what they did or what they brought). meant so much to us. Thank you again and then signed it

For my dbil we wrote his name Thank you for the personal escort you provided for us from the church to (the road). We know the tole it took on you to do this for us and it did not go unnoticed. Your kindness and consideration was greatly appreciated. Love always and they signed it. (Those may not be the exact words but were pretty close.)

Hope that helps some. Sorry you're having to write unhappy thank yous.

Hope that helps some.

Does that mean you get to stay home from work? Wouldn't that be great?

(((Marnie))) praying for you and your family today.

No snow here. Nice enough the children want to go out to play which means do patrol for me. One reason not to have dogs.

I actually got to sleep in until 7:30. I am feeling a ton better today still congested but not sore and yucky. Some how the 4yo seems to have not gotten sick. The girls are on the feeling better side a well. Whew. Ronnie usually gets a sinus infection so it will be nice if we can pass on that this round.

Usual day here. Have some school reading to catch up on and more laundry.

Have a good day everyone.

It's very cold and blustery here this morning, the wind woke me up early and I couldn't get back to sleep.

That video is great, and so true! I was lol also.

I did the mini mission without knowing I was doing it
Dishes/ sink done
Counters done
Breakfast done
Reading- started a new book today. Finished KMM iced yesterday, started Reckless this morning.
Learning how to use my rolled seem foot, making some pretty cloth napkins. I figure I have to wash anyway may as well save on paper products and have pretty napkins. Anyway, I can't get corners to look nice.

ETA- my ETA on coloring my hair is 20 minutes

While having breakfast I was listening to Pandora and my husbands companies commercial came on, I was so excited! I had to call and tell him. He didn't even know they were advertising on pandora, but was happy to hear it.
