Joyce, I have not gone on one before. Everything you've said I've heard before and they sound great but thre's just something about it all that I'm just not sure I want to be out in the middle of the ocean.

I konw I cooked a lot this week but normally we don't do that. We knew it was going to be a bit cool out so we decided to just take things instead of going out. We had also just spent almost $1K having some car issues fixed and that kinda ate into our spending money. It all worked out for us and we basically enjoyed the time. We did decide to come home early though. When we got moved into the new room my allergies kicked in and we just decided we could enjoy our last day at home with a staycation. It will also give us teh opportunity to go Easter egg hunting with the grands tomorrow as well.

I rarely get potato pancakes, but I love the holidays that give me a good excuse actually they ore one of the only fried things I eat. I wish there were a way to make them healthier.

Donna, my Mom never thought she would like cruising. She doesn't go in the water, at all. Not even feet in a baby pool. She is deathly afraid of water. She won't even wash her hair in the shower, she washes it in the sink. And after her first cruise she was hooked, this will be her third. Now rest assured she learns all the emergency procedures before we leave port, and I wonder if she sleeps with her Life vest. But she puts on a patch and off we go.

Good morning.

I'm not feeling so wonderful today. A cold has struck and is kicking my butt. Off to take some cold meds...I have too much to do today to let a cold bring me down!

Me too, with the pancakes with no syrup. I would rather syrup on them...but sometimes I make them BEFORE I check to see if we have any syrup left.

I think I would like a cruise. I have never been on one but I would like to someday. I really would like a warm weather cruise...but I heard that the Alaskan cruise is AMAZING! So, perhaps I will have to give two a try.

Good morning y'all!

Today is Zachary's christening day. Kids are having a cookout at 5 to celebrate. I made the potato salad and a coconut cake for the event. The Christening isn't until 8:00 p.m.!!! And then well have 1 1/2 hour drive home. And we are going to sunrise service tomorrow. And then we hav 20 people coming for easter dinner at 1:00 . Oy, I'm gonna be tired! But happy.

So,today.
Make oatmeal and get kiddos on the road for rehearsal as ds2 is the god father.
Make icing and assemble the cake.
Make deviled eggs for tomorrow
Bathe n shave hairy legs
Decided which dress to wear
Pack Zacks present and cards
Clean powder room for guests
Dust?

Imthenoni...I'm enjoying my staycation and getting lots of sewing done...today I had to go looking for purple fabric...found only 1 piece I liked...I must be getting picky!
Those are super cute! Um, "The Battle of Helm's Peep"? Awesome. Oh, and I had my pancakes yesterday without syrup. I like syrup, but don't need it all the time. The pancakes yesterday actually had a lot of flavor and didn't need the sweet.

Feel better, Patricia!

Have fun hunting with the grands, Donna!

Have a fabulous weekend, Cher!

Joyce, wow, your mom must have been so brave that first time she went! Good for her! And, hmm, there has to be a way to make potato pancakes healthier. Do you deep fry them or pan fry them? I never make them. I've had good ones, but I've had a lot of bad ones, too, and I'd just rather make hashbrowns.

I finished Daring Greatly by Brene Brown last night and it was awesome! So amazingly good! And that makes 4 books this year, baby! I think next I'll read Ann Lamott? I have a couple of her books from my mom. Or The Happiness Project? I have that, too. And then, in a couple of weeks, Carry On Warrior by Glennon Melton of Momastery comes out and I am so buying that! I just haven't read that much since having kids and I'm pretty stoked about it!

I'm liking the sound of all the books u r reading. After this holiday I'm gonna go to the library and check one out. Maybe happiness project first but I feel I'll be daring greatly having the kids live with us for a while.

Hey! I've been hanging out for the most part. Jeff is smoking a turkey for tomorrow and working on the playset. I did a little cleaning earlier, helped him with the set, played a game with the kids, and made a card. Going to do a little more cleaning then I hope make another card. I might try to run to Penny's tonight. I have a coupon and just could not get there yesterday. I need a swimsuit and would like another dress or a top I can wear with skirts.

I really need to get the house cleaned, but I want to take a benylin day! I think the cleaning is going to win, though, unless the kids don't mind looking for their Easter eggs in CHAOS tomorrow morning. LOL

We filled our square foit garden and planted 3 kinds of onions. Went to pick up a gift, dh made dinner and now we are relaxing. We both had chiropractor adjustments today, I'm hoping I'm not sore tomorrow.

I made a card for Paper Crafts, and posted my card for the monthly challenge here. Have to link that up.

I washed our sheets and dh flipped our mattress.

The only thing I have to do now is dishes.

Good late night/early morning all. I have to admit I haven't read everything today, shame on me but my allergies have kicked up again. I am so tired of this and home to get something on Monday to take care of it until then, allergy meds, ibuprophren & sudafed will have to do the job. Other than basically unpacking and spending some time with my son I have basically done a big fat nothing other than try to breath and figure out where all this snot comes from and how I can possibly not be dehydrated. LOL

Our plans for tomorrow are to go to church to hear my DGD1 sing with the children's choir, eat lunch at dd1's house (she is hosting the Easter lunch since we normally have it here and we were just getting home) have an egg hunt and enjoying some time with my DDs, DS, DSIL & DGDs. DH has to work day shift so I'll see him tomorrow night.

I hope everyone else has a wonderfully Happy and Blessed Easter.

A submission Paula, the first one since getting back to stamping. I need to get doing more, I'm just not that motivated. My first cover is on my blog sidebar if you would like to see it. It was an odd Halloween card, EK success sent me the supplies exactly when the call went up, otherwise I would never have had all that Halloween stuff. I was so excited, its now framed on my wall.

I already hid eggs and basket for my dd's boyfriend. He's 23, but never had holiday experiences we share here growing up so we treat him like our little one. I filled my dd's basket from when she was little ( she is traveling for work, so got her Coach bag early) with all kinds of little thing for his tool box, car cleaning stuff, candy and 4 pair of jeans. Now just waiting for him so I can see his face when I tell him he has to gather the eggs to find his basket. Lol. I guess I'm hoping our parenting ideas will make a bigger impact then the ones he was stuck with.

Yes! This is the one day of the year when chocolate is allowed for breakfast!

YUMMM!!!! Peanut butter cookies are awesome! Enjoy! I'm going to go get a cup of tea now to enjoy with my chocolate. There is nothing like a piece of chocolate with your tea!

That's awesome!!! I noticed the magazine in your sidebar this morning! I haven't submitted in over 2 years. I'd like to get back to it. I intended to submit for the birthday issue, but just forgot to do it by the deadline.

And good morning! Happy Easter to everyone!

Jeff smoked a turkey yesterday so my aunt is coming over for lunch. I need to clean the kitchen and it would be really nice to mop. I'm going to roast cauliflower and make sweet potato fries so not much cooking today.

I'm sure this will surprise no one, but I still need to make my Get Well card to blog, too.

I'm sure this will surprise no one, but I still need to make my Get Well card to blog, too.
I have never had smoked turkey...but it sounds delicious! Have a great lunch!

There is a disadvantage to purchasing food in bulk...when you run out...you are out!

A bit difficult to make pepperoni pizza without pepperoni

Red Bear drove krapoppa to the grocery store...there was enough pepperoni for mine...just not for everyone else's!!!!!

It's a gorgeous!!! The card takes me back!!! I was just barely a stamper when I purchased the magazine. I bought the magazine and brought it with me on our yearly fall camping trip. My DH saw me looking at it and said, "you are really into this aren't you?" LOL Little did we know!

I was in awe of your card! I still think it's FAB! Wow, now I even know the artist behind the card! Who'd ever guess!!!

To be picked for the cover is really Awesome!!! I still have the mag ...it's very well worn!!!!

guess you can figure out we made it home. what a mad dash trip! drive 12 hours to be there for about 18 hours and then drive back 12 hours. make up our mind to leave three hours before we left. whew! i am dizzy and tired and do have a slight head ache but so glad to be OUT of the car. It was all worth it though to see the surprise on DH's sister's face. she was speechless! three hotel nights and one speeding ticket and we are home!
