Don't forget that tomorrow night when you go to bed reset your clocks. We spring forward so set them 1 hour ahead. Wouldn't want you to be late for anything on Sunday.

Chop apples (we use about 8
Chop snicker candy bars into small pieces (we use about 4)
Fold in cool whip (I would start with 16 oz.)
For chopping the candy bars slice down middle the long way, then make small side slits the short way.

As usual in my life...one thing lead to another

Thanks for this mission...I have wanted to take the bread slicer that I haven't used in several months off the counter but was afraid that I would "need" to use it some day...

I bake bread every week and Red Bear has decided that the bread slicer has too thin of slots so he prefers to "slice his own" and since he is the one that eats the most bread I no longer need the slicer...

Then I put the wooden fruit bowl away since there isn't any fresh fruit in it (it normally holds bananas)...I took the dried apple slices that were in a baggie and put those in the cupboard!

THEN...I moved the water bottles that I fill for myself to the other side of the counter where they are not visible for everyone to see!

I kept the pickle jar of money right where it was!

So thanks for permission to just put "one" item away! It worked for me

Imthenoni...I should mention that if my children make Snicker salad that the ratios are flipped!

My plan for today:

NO HOUSEWORK

I will need to clean the kitchen after brunch as Red Bear and Pink Snuggles are going to a wedding this afternoon...otherwise they would be in charge of that detail...

The stamp room is calling my name...as is the sewing room...

I would like to take the sewing machines that need repair in to Kurt (the sewing repair man!)...that's an hour drive...and I would like krapoppa to take me if it fits into his schedule...

We are to get rain today...away will go more of that snow that came last week!

Happy Saturday...

Morning lovelies! I feel like crafting today, but I think we're going to my mom's for a bit. We'll see if my mojo kicks in before we have to leave.

I DID NOT DECLUTTER FOR MY SON.

What I did do:
- obvious trash in the trash - gatorade bottle / wrappers / tags / chewed pen caps / stuff like that
- the car / truck / rv mags he picks up every other week from his work.
- stacked his magazines & other catalogs up...will have him go through them & toss the ones he does not want
- put that paycheck on top of his magazine stack.
- picked up all the dirty clothes.
- any other stuff on the floor or laying around, I put on the chest of drawers for him to sort thru.
- put yearbooks on the bookshelf
- put belts in the drawer

I still need to hang his coats...and see what's in all that stuff stacked on the trunk. Then, I can sweep & mop in there!

Really. I need to remind him to do this daily. He has a really bad habit of shoving stuff. I do not, nor have I ever just shoved stuff somewhere.

whew.

Your son sounds like me as a teenager. I "shoved" wherever I could...when I actually picked up something. My room was a disaster! Stuff EVERYWHERE! And my mom could not even pick up the dirty clothes on my floor...cause I would have a fit! Now, if my mom offered to come up and pick up the dirty clothes on my floor I would welcome her with open arms!

My new rule is...you live in my house...you keep my house clean...

So far no one has tested that rule...

Kub keeps his area of the apartment in TX clean...I have heard that you can see the invisible line in the bedroom that he has to share with another guy...and everyone knows which side is the Kub's! Won't his wife be thrilled?

Just like his Poppa!

Thankfully I learned before I died what a difference 15-minutes a-day makes in decluttering...and putting things where they belong rather than everywhere else!

NOW...off to make breakfast...and clean as I go because it makes the end of the meal so much more enjoyable when I don't have a major clean!

So you know, I DO ask him to pick up.

He has three WHB chores - pick up around his desk, dust his room & his desk, and clean his bathroom. He also gathers up all his dirty laundry & puts folded clean laundry away. It's NOT like I DON'T ask him. He knows when it's time to clean house, that he will have to do these things when I remind him...and I accept it the way he does it.

It's more of a pick your battles thing for me. I do mention the stash & he does pull out...apparently 1/4th of it. Last time I did this, he was relieved actually. And, like I said, I didn't toss anything except trash.

LOL on the Kub's room with the invisible line. Sounds like some roommates in college...you can immediately tell whose side of the room is whose.

And it's a WIP (work in progress)...I'm proud of my boy...he's come a long way.

UHM...we got 1/2 finished and his big brother came to take him to lunch...

I was enjoying myself...I left shortly after he did...

Think I'll go visit him again this next week after school one day!

He said he just needs to be told what to do next...he does get sidetracked by Lego building!

UHM...we got 1/2 finished and his big brother came to take him to lunch...

I was enjoying myself...I left shortly after he did...

Think I'll go visit him again this next week after school one day!

He said he just needs to be told what to do next...he does get sidetracked by Lego building!

ME...I get sidetracked by computers!

ah. I'm taking a bread before I need to take a quick shower. I'm all ready for my new to me bench!

Hi y'all my flying buddies

It sounds like some flying has been done around some houses today. My son was one of those who knew what he was supposed to do in his room but often didn't do it. Once I had all I could stand I would give him a warning 'This weekend I'm getting in that room.' Sometimes it would work while others it was useless and I would get in there with a garbage bag or shoudl I say bags. He would be frustrated but then thanked me for getting things back in order.

I am having a, I don't even know what to call it, day. I don't really want to do much though I have loads I could be doing.

DD2 has decided to break-up with her boyfriend (WOO HOO!!!!). He was really not good for or to her at all. She is in the process of looking for another place to live. When she finally finds one I lose some furniture and other things. That's not necessarily a bad thing. So now I'm thinking about how I might rearrange the furniture I'll have left. The bad part is she'll be taking my crafting table - the good part is I'll be made to get things off of it and I can pick out a new or new to me table that fits my room instead of making the room fit the table.

Today I decided to cook -

I'm going to cook some meals for our house and for my dad's. Spaghetti sauce, thought I like marinara sauce so mine is realy to go, I put our more stuff than I realized so more tomatoes, etc are needed. I'm going to make lasagnas as well with some of the same sauce. I also plan to make shepherd's pie and small chicken pot pies. I figure my dad, since he is the one who winds up doing most of the cooking because the queen bee always has an excuse, can just pull them out and heat them up. I'm planning to put them in the foil pans so he can just pop them in the oven and maybe add a salad and bread and be done. Then clean-up is easy as well.

DH is watching golf for a bit but then we will be off to run some errands to include the grocery store, again.

Imthenoni...my Skyscan atomic clock has already reset itself! Asked krapoppa if he had reset the basement clocks...he said no...

SO...it did it all by itself!

The stamp table isn't getting any cleaner but I am using images on the table...how does this happen?

ashjoy...enjoy your trip...I would not choose to go on a cruise...or a plane...I might consider going by train...but I really prefer home!

Ever wonder what it would be like if you got water in the basement from snow melting and rain water?

Having put the storage room floor items in plastic bins (all labeled) there is only one item that is destroyed...a cardboard box that held canning jar rings (that were in Ziploc baggies)...

That's it...

The rest I have hauled out, wiped the bottom of the bin, stacked them in another area of the basement while krapoppa is using his shop-vac to suck up the water!

Of course he will have to check the sewing room to see if it has any water...but...even there there isn't anything that will be lost because of water damage!

Yeah...for Flying so high I'm a Toddlerwannabe!

YEAH!!!! So happy for you guys. I had a swapper in a swap I hosted that had a pipe to burst and it took out her cricuit and nearly all of her paper and crafting supplies except her stamps. Insurance paid for the repairs and her cricuit but that was about it.

I haven't done much at home today as far as cleaning or that kind of thing. I have

1. gotten 2 new pair of shoes for $45 total. They should have been nearly $100.
2. got a new set of flannel sheets for our king beg and 2 more king pillow cases for $35. They were marked at $60.
3. DH wanted Panera Bread for dinner - who am I to argue with him.
4. Make yet another trip to the grocery store to purchase the things I needed to make the following for my freezer and my dad's

a. spaghetti sauce - simmering
b. lasagnas - need to cook noodles & put it all together
c. chicken pot pies
d. shepherd's pies
e. chicken & noodles

I'll get these finished tonight or by tomorrow to take to daddy's one day next week.
