It would be worth looking locally for it, it is quite expensive on amazon, but lasts a long time. A local herbalist should be much cheaper. I think we paid 6$ a bottle, but she closed. Haven't had to look fora new source yet.

Hope a hot shower helps Melissa. Feel better!

Glad you decided to dress after the shower, showing upset for work doesn't seem like the best idea!

Morning...It's my Dr day.....don't like those days....if any of you are doctors or nurses out there don't take it personally but I don't like visiting them. Maybe my thoughts on that will change when my DS graduates this December and becomes a nurse.

Other than that I have a quilt group to meet with, then tonight a card making group to attend. Ah life here in The Villages is wonderful when one is of a mind set to enjoy all it has to offer. Which I plan to be in, the mind set that is.

Dinner will be an early one with a group of girlfriends (all single like me) at a local restaurant that is celebrating it's anniversary this week. If you eat there today when you purchase an entree you get a coupon for a free entree on another evening so we thought why not? Hope we won't be waiting in line with the other 99,996 people who live in The Villages.

Tomorrow or maybe later this evening I plan to sit down and make a plan for once again organizing my stuff to get ready for another move that will take place this fall sometime....don't know when, don't know where to yet (other that within The Villages), but I plan to move myself with the help of friends so I need to do a bit more downsizing of stuff. When I moved to FL went from 3,000 square feet to 1900 sq ft. Now will be probably going to around 1200 sq ft. Stuff has got to go!

Dare I say "nothing" I always have too much of everything..........

So I think I will reverse this and make a list of what I don't need to get for a long time because I always think I need it, buy it and than discover when I go to put it away I already have too much of it.....(Is that a SHE thing?????)

Suzanne, if you haven't used it in a year you probably don't need it anyway, that's how I keep things under control. We just took a jeep load of stuff to a tailgate auction last weekend and am much happier with the 170$ and a little less stuff in the garage.

So sorry you feel poorly. Even more sorry you have to go to work when you feel poorly. I will have to remember to put on my gratitude list that I am grateful the being retired when I feel sick I don't have to get up and go to work anymore! Once again sorry you are not feeling well but thank you for the reminder of a blessing in my life.

Sadly I took that route of thinking when I moved last time and got rid of all sorts of stuff I hadn't used in years then got down here and discovered I needed it and so had to repurchase a lot of things.........Now hopefully that experience was only because I moved to a new location and a new lifestyle, but it really ***sed me off to have to respend the money I didn't have! There are some loved kitchen items though that I know I will never use again simply because my cooking style has changed now that I no longer have a family so I really should get rid of them even though I love the idea of using them.

Please do put up your gratitude list / thread...that was the most wonderful thing. It got me through that ice storm, remember.

I think it was...three things each day and for a week, they cannot be repeats...something like that.

I'm seriously considering NOT going to work.

Of course, I have NOT taken that shower yet.

That bad. I know I cannot concentrate. So, I may do things that do not require concentration...to make better use of my time and feel bads. Guess I best go text the lady boss. Not that I don't have the paid time...just too much work & I feel guilty not going in even though I feel bad???? Dang! I AM sick!

(a bit of humor here...and I really do feel bad.)

Texted the boss, I'm not going in. Going to see if I can get to feeling better. And it wont be sleeping...cuz I can't get confy. So...guess I will do physical / non concentration / non reading things & see if it helps.

Morning! We were at a funeral yeseterday. My stepmom's mom passed away last week. We weren't close and she was in a lot of pain. Sad for my family, though. She was probably the only person I can think of who I never once heard her say anything bad about anyone in the 25 years that I knew her. lso, my brother and SIL were in from GA. Very good to see them.

Today is probably my only day at home so I'm going to focus on it. Have to think about what to do for Father's Day, too.

what are you studying that you have to write lotsa papers?

I don't think I wrote ONE paper in college. yay!

at least I don't remember writing one.

fescue is good...bluegrass has to be coddled...but it sure does make a purty yard. my brother had a yard of nothing but precious bluegrass. sure was pretty. I don't think we were allowed to walk on it. don't remember, but it sure was pretty. soft. luscious. pampered.

if I did...I sure don't remember.

and I had a political science minor.

I might have had to write some papers for that...I just don't remember...maybe that means they were not an ordeal for me. I know I didn't write as many as Edith seems to have to write. The other day, I thought: "Man, she must be majoring in paper writing!"

Good afternoon.

So sorry you are sick, Melissa.

Sorry about your step-mom's mom, Paula.

On a good note...I finally found a dining set!!! YAY! Its all paid for and I just have to wait for it to get here. I think it's coming from Corner Brook but we have to wait for the courier to bring it out. I found it in a store in Port aux Basques, so that's good! Hopefully it won't take too many days to get here...

on paper writing.... yeah, each course requires what feels like a gazillion papers...

this course: Intro to Spiritual Direction = 7 papers

The entire program is graded almost only on written assignments; so far I've had only one exam to write.

Seven papers seems egregious to me. I realize it's a difficult topic for a multiple choice test but 7???

Hopefully it won't take too many days to get here...

Paula, so sorry for your loss. B.ut glad you were able to see your brother, to bad it wasn't for happier circumstances and a bit longer.

Edith, not only did I have to write papers for one of my religion courses, we had to go to the running of the saints and sing ancient Budist chants and be graded on our singing! I would have gladly written papers.

Patricia, so glad you found a table, you have been very patient in that endeavor.

geez. I didn't have to write papers for Old Testament or New Testament.

Multiple choice worked well here.

I did enjoy those classes.

Thank goodness I didn't take Religion in Life with Dr. Kibbons. whoo!

I went to a college that was run by the Sisters of Mercy. I think the instructor I had at one time was a sister, or maybe wanted to be. It's a learning experience ill remember, but not in a good way. I hope Edith's papers are more pleasant educational memories!

I think all this rain is taking its toll on my. I sat down on the couch earlier with the intentions of doing my reading and reflections and fell asleep for quite some time.

So far today:
Showered, dressed
Breakfast
Took meds (before breakfast & coffee)
Started a load of laundry
Unloaded the dishwasher
Load the dishwasher
Fold clothes, put away
Pay car note
Hang up laundry
Start another load
Clean out purse - Amelia suggested this by dumping it
Fold more laundry
Lunch

Next:
Put more laundry away
10 min picking up in living room
10 min working on craft table - need to make cards later and it's covered!

I've restarted the Gracious Living thread that was on our old site. Right now I need this. Though the divorce is final and that issue is "resolved" in my life I know there will still be days in my future when I will be tempted to focus on the negatives in in it rather than look for the positive. Hopefully this will remind me to recognize how blessed my life truly is.
