I am so very glad that I will not be at CHA...for sure I would owe the bank LOTS of money by the time I was done. I think I fell in love with every sneak peek!

Brent, the kids, and I just got back from Port aux Basques. We wanted to go get some Tim Horton's, and we stopped in to see my parents for a few minutes too. It was a late night for the boys! Nick fell asleep on the way home...and Jarod is a night owl, so he's good for as long as I will let him stay up!

It is so muggy outside. Last night at this time it was less than 58*...tonight it's 71*. Normal for us is way less than 71* during the night. It feels like we may get some thunder and lightening...and the weather man did say some is expected.

Had a great time "all by myself" among a crowd of people! My thinking is it was a smaller show this year but it was more pleasant to me...a couple new vendors but much of the products are the same with the exception of stamps...

SO MANY STAMPS...big ones, little ones, bigger, big ones...and teeny, tiny little ones...only certain ones made it into my possession (they were on my list!)

Make & Takes...most I didn't even look at because the booth was overwhelming to me...but one booth did get my $2 bills...

I found much more than I purchased...going with a list...having learned my style...and remembering that I really prefer the older stamps to what is current helped me to not purchase stamps...I did purchase a giraffe image...

And...I just can not afford House Mousie stamps...and they are so cute...remember when I was scared of them?

Embossing folders...well...if you are still reading this far into my post then you will know that I now am the owner of 5 more embossing folders bringing my total to 111 regular size...I think that is a wonderful number...for now!

There is a "bubbles" folder that was out-of-stock...

One frustration when shopping alone...you don't have a "friend" with whom to say...Hey, I'll split that package of paper with you! There were some really good deals at Paper Cut but...really...I do not need 25 12x12 pieces of metallic cardstock when I've never used even one piece before! Also...the packages of DP are 25 sheets...REALLY...I don't belong to any club and the closest stamper I know in real life is 9-miles away and we do not have even similar styles in card making...

I'm very ready for next Saturday...8 AM CDT...I am going to be OUT OF BED and in the stamp room! Might be in my nightgown and robe even!!!!

No ears burning but MY FEET HURT! When you don't buy lots then your arms don't hurt from carrying packages...but...oh do my feet hurt...somewhere I left my favorite clogs...do not know where...how can a person loose a pair of shoes? (not today...but I haven't been able to find them since spring...)

Some booths were just overwhelming to me...but I agree...I sure like paper!

Now I'm going to bed so krapoppa can massage my feet...it was a wonderful, wonderful time...all by myself! (Wished I had known you were all there in the crowd of wannabes!!!!)

Oh...I did not win any prizes...nor the card contest...but I had a great time...

Mine would be glad that there are lots of trees between us and them! And my kids would be scarred for life!

kramomma, it does sound like you had a really enjoyable day!! I'm thankful that you found a few things that were on your list... AND... Joyce was pretty close with her guess of 110 folders

I've put together a few images to color... tomorrow I'll work at re-sizing them into what I think I might use... then print them. They'll be ready for me to take to Camrose on Monday

Glad that kramomma is safely home. Praying that her boys will be arriving at their destinations soon also.

Time for bed. Need to be up 'early' as I'm on worship in the morning. g'nite all

And the lightening has started. I'm off to bed to enjoy the light show from my dark, comfy room! We have a HUGE window in our bedroom, so it's the perfect place to watch it from!

Good night!

Those embossing folders were playing downstairs so loudly that they woke me up...I just had to come see what was so exciting!

Then I remembered...there were quite a few that had never met...

Now to make a list of the DTGD challenges for this month...it is almost over and I certainly want to participate!

Good morning.
Baby is still sleeping so checking in quickly. She had an allergic reaction to something yesterday. Swaps covered with hives. She had Benadryl around 9 and cleared up pretty quickly. We will be handing her off to my parents shortly so I can get back to my regularly scheduled program.

What is the fan club interactive? I don't see specific challenges, so how do things end up there? And what fan club challenges? Are there ongoing things I'm missing?

Go to "Forum" at the top of this page, then the first area that should show up for you as a "Fan Club Member" is the Fan Club threads...

The ones for July are Duets and Christmas in July...there are older threads with interesting information but I haven't figured out how to upload/download the information and I wouldn't know which direction I was going when it was happening either!

That is also where you find the DTGD threads.

This is only visible if you are Fan Club Member.

As for allergic reactions...she could be related to this household...except that Pink Snuggles is allergic to Benedryl...she has to take a prescription medication if she gets a severe reaction to something...

Good morning y'all!

I just spent over an hour reading about the silhouette and watching YouTube how toos. Trying to decide if this would be a good purchase for me.

Got dh on the road. I'm exhausted. Feel like going back to bed but won't.

I'm not seeing any DTGD threads in the Fan Club area besides the sticky saying it's coming up?

Glad the expo was fun and you only came home with things you love!

Morning, btw! Went to bed too late. Had some trouble getting a knitting project started. Made South Beach pancakes this morning and am running the dishwasher. The boys are supposed to do some cleaning today and then we'll go to my mom's for a while and leave Jeff here to nap.

Little one is gone.
Laundry started, 2 loads
Ironing
Dishwasher loaded

I'm exhausted and its only noon! Dh doesn't like me to clean on the weekends so I keep it to a minimum. However, having the little one all weekend will mean tomorrow's house blessing will take considerable longer I'm sure.

Dh is bringing the big tractor and mower home from my parents to mow the larger part of our property that is just to big for our kabota ( even though its pretty big). I may follow the big tractor around on our little tractor a bit just because I never normally get to drive it. I'm afraid of the big hills. But haven't been to the top of our property since dh sold the 4 wheeler.

Yesterday I asked dh what he would consider must haves to take if we move, he said his tractor, even if he only has a little yard. 2. His Jeep ( which I have to admit is pretty sweet) and Ash and I were 3 and 4. Lol, he didnt have a 5.

My things were my Christmas stuff and my craft room. He said I would have to take my craft room because no one else would want it. I totally beg to differ. I have some pretty sweet stuff. Although I will do a major purge before of course.

Right, I see those, but not anything about DTGD. Just the sticky. Just don't want to miss anything.

I've been a little distracted lately with all the dog and eye stuff, but are y'all thinking about moving? Or is this just hypothetical?

Paula, there's a possibility. My dd has an interview in August for a position in Indiana, if it works out my husband will put in a request to be closer to her as well. We wouldn't want to have to drive 10 hours to see our only child if we can relocate. DH has been thinking about trying for a different position in the company,if it all aligns we wouldn't hesitate to move. He has already been online house shopping getting a feel for the area.

Tractor ride was fun, but it sure does jar your bones!

Snack time
Switch laundry
Craft time

Good afternoon! I spent the morning finishing up the Nicholas Sparks book that I had started. It was pretty good.

Brent cooked us all brunch...kinda a little anniversary celebration. It is the 13th anniversary of our first date and the 4th anniversary of our engagement. We're not married so we can't celebrate that one yet!

It sure does! We have an old John Deere crawler (bulldozer) and that thing rattles my bones every time I use it!

But what fun I bet that is. I only drove a bull dozen once, when we were building our first house our excavator let me take his for a little spin. It was fun, but I had no idea what I was doing. I do want to drive one of those huge combines they use in the wheat fields in the mid west one day. They are just awesome! Of course I've never even see one in person.

I just went out to check on my gardens...the veggie garden is doing great! All my flowers are too, except for one that is being eaten by slugs! It is a potted plant. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the buggers?

They sell a spray that connects to your garden hose that you can spray on your flowers and lawns to protect from slugs and grubs. I had a similar issue to learn that they were actually the larvae form of a japenese beetle that were imported to local Christmas tree farms to help with a disease the trees were getting. The evergreens look great, but my flower gardens suffered that year. I have two bottles sitting in my garage, I would help if you were closer

Thanks!

I called my mom and she said some beer in a small can would work too. I'm going to try that and if it don't work I'm off to the hardware store for the spray!!

I love natural home remedies first, will be interested to hear if it works. My problem was much to large for beer. Lol would have cost a fortune!

Red Bear is home...and wants a hair cut...uhm...really...less than being home 20 minutes and you want a hair cut...and on a Sunday...Please tell me you are kidding...

I already put on my footless, feeted pjs and robe...and this boy wants a hair cut...

Hmmm...guess I'll put the apple crisp in the oven and then cut his hair...
