Good morning! Ummm...I mean...Good afternoon!! The morning has gotten away from me.

So far today I have showered and eaten...that's it. Oh...and read some of my book, which explains why the morning got away from me.

Now I need to get some dirty laundry into the washer and then dry my hair.

I'm down to 1 last box to sort. Feeling pretty good about it.

You can do it Suzanne!

So far...
Kitchen routine
Laundry 1 load drying, one washing
Dining room done, including walls

To do
Guest bathroom started
Empty dishwasher
Reload dishwasher
Lunch

Hottie McFloorcleaner just left, I was spot on my guesstimate. The total is 524.22 for the entire house. Now to determine if I want to spend that much, or do we want to do any of it ourselves. It's tile, hardwood and carpets. Any thoughts?

I'm reading "The Best of Me" by Nicholas Sparks. It's good so far. I bought it at a yard sale for $1.

Hottie McFloorCleaner Hummm...will he be the one to do the work? May be worth the Kaa ching to be able to watch him. just saying... LOL

Tricia - Nicholas Sparks lives about 2 1/2 hours from me. I've read several of his books. He verbally pictures the area pretty well.

Joyce, you're really getting things done. Washing walls too. Whew you make me tired. LOL

I've gotten all the boxes sorted into categories and put 4 of the 7 into the 1st of the 2 2drawer file cabinets. When dh gets up (please let it be soon, I'm tired of watching my noise levels) I'll pull the 2nd one out of my craft room and (please let there be enough room in it) finish my filing for now.

In the mean time I'm going to break down boxes for recycling and start those loads of laundry.

I also need to pull some birthday cards for my aunt who will be 85 next week and get them in the mail. And work on the above list for dd2.

Me too. However, I've recently started reading Krinstin Hannah. She write more about the Northwestern part of our beautiful country. Her's are not so much love stories as they are relationship ones. If she is as true to the surroundings as Nicholas Sparks is I would really love to visit the area.

I guess I should go get ready to go to Port aux Basques. I got a hair appointment at 4 and then, after that, I need to grocery shop. It's a lazy day for me...so I just feel like going back to bed!!! I know I will enjoy my time at the hair salon...and we NEED groceries...so I guess I will have to do it. This is an example of when the desire to do something overcomes the energy level that you have!

Nicholas Sparks does have an amazing way of using descriptive writing. That's one of the things that I really like about his books.

I have never heard of Krinstin Hannah...I'll have to check it out!

Donna, you're doing great!! It always feels so good when you make progress on these 'overwhelming' tasks... way to work your plan

I picked up an electric hedge trimmer this morning - sending it up to DS1 with my girls today for DS1 to use on his hedges. It'll sure beat trying to trim them by hand with the little clipper I picked up for them when I was up visiting.

And while I was thinking about stuff to send up, I dug out all the kids' baby books... and keepsakes of DS1 & DS2... That's 9 boxes out of my garage. WOOHOO!!! Now they can deal with their memorabilia and I can re-arrange the stuff in the garage and get that area a little better organized.

Oh I do like the feeling of getting rid of 'stuff'

A little healthier each day or a bit healthier than in the past is a grand thing.

Yeah for the things you've gotten done as well.

Hey y'all! I have done almost nothing around the house. We went to the doctor, pharmacy, donut shop for a free croissant, home, back to the doctor, had to come a back way because the highway was crazy, had lunch, washed clothes, went to the gas station because the light came on, Ezra to swim, home, lounged on the couch, decided the drizzle had stopped and went to hang up laundry and it started sprinkling again so pushed kids on the swings in the drizzle instead, stashed wet clothes random places in the house to dry, and am finally getting a little energy.

TDD:
Pick up 50 things in the kitchen
Pick up 50 things in the living room
Declutter 10 hard things - stuff I still like a whole lot, but really don't need

This would be a full day's mental amount that I could handle...I don't think I ever did 10 hard things...lots of mindless things...but never 10 hard ones...in one day...never...

Still don't think I could do that...

When you aren't home the house doesn't get messier than when you left...at least not at my house (we kennel the inside dog anytime we leave and the outside dog gets kenneled also or she might destroy something in the yard)...but once I'm back home I see everything in abundance that was wrong before I ever left!

Such as...the embossing folders that are currently on the table...I took pictures of them...by brand...and in alphabetical order within the brand! Yep...OCD...but...tomorrow is my day for the Stamp Expo...and I do not want to spend money on something so cute that I already have it!!!!

A moment of truth...On the table is also the original holder that Kub had for embossing folders before he left home...uhm...it holds 25...now it holds all the "slim" embossing folders and I have a photo box that has 106 embossing folders in it!

Also...I have a basket that holds all the cardboard pieces with the names of the embossing folder...those area what I put in alphabetical order for picture taking purposes!

The embossing folders themselves are in categories...and I do believe I have used every one of them at least once!

  1. Working on reading newspapers that have accumulated over past three days and then get them into recycling
  2. Work on decluttering magazines that have been hanging around too long.
  3. Sew up sides of tote bag I knit, line it and figure out how to attach handles.
  4. Make bed
  5. Empty dishwasher
  6. Eat healthy meals (when going non stop I tend to eat junk food meals )
So here I go.

So I've dealt with #1, 2, half of 3, 5 and I'll say half of 6. Not sure if the shrimp cocktail I had for lunch would be counted as healthy or not.

I'd say it was better than a Snickers candy bar...which I can say I did not have for lunch...or snack...but only because there isn't a bag of them opened!

Well, I left it at 10 hard things of any kind so that if I can only manage to do 1 t-shirt, 1 cookbook, 1 stamp set, etc then I still haven't failed.

And, no my house doesn't get messier when we aren't here, but coming and going zaps my cleaning energy, but doesn't seem to curb any of our mess-making abilities. So I have to run twice as fast just to get back to where I was. When we are here, the messes are able to happen, but I'm able to keep up with them better.

Wow! 106?! That's super cool. If you're using 'em that's just awesome!
