Cher, have fun at VBS. we could use just a little rain this week as well. It's not looking good here though.

I had 12 unexpected guests last night. Luckily my husband was ambitious yesterday and cut the watermelon into a basket for our fruit salad and I ad made 12 snicker cupcakes that I thought would last us thru the week. My daughters boyfriend complained that he got a fancy restaurant portion but he survived. Everyone else was thrilled with a dessert that was the perfect size. We sat outside a chatted until 10pm, then my dad finally said it was a work night and started the good byes. Then in the driveway we planned a Tuesday night dinner before my aunt and uncle leave to go back to Florida.

Today
Kitchen routine
Garden routine
Hour house blessing upstairs
Post office
Gym
+1room, Craft room still needs put away after travels.
Mini mission
Hook up new modem, so if I'm not back shortly this probably didnt go well.
Thanks!
Wow 12 unexpected guests. Hope they brought food with them!

So far today:
Wash clothes, hung to dry
Unloaded dishwasher
Swim class 1
Picked up 50 things in living room
5 min decluttering coupons, 15 min clipping coupons, 10 min putting coupons away
Lunch
Brought in slightly rained on clothes
Put cone back on the dog twice
Swept up gelatin package Amelia opened and dumped on the floor - which was interesting because I have no idea where the dust pan wandered off to

Next:
Get coupons ready for this shopping trip
Get Ezra ready for swim
Pick up 25 things in the kitchen

VBS was so much fun. I'm shepparding 9 4th graders. I got a nice bunch of kiddos and got some hugs at the end of the day. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

Now to get into home mode. Dh has cleared out 3 large garbage bags of clothes for good will. I feel a challenge coming on.

Got lots of rain!!! Yay! Our tanks are almost full again. It's amazing how much water we are going through with 3 extras in the house especially since one is a baby. Lots of bottles to wash and lots of clothes.

I have gotten very little done today! My brain has been blitzed! Every week since we have been home from trip to see relatives we have had 2 to 3 appointments (doctor/dentist/xray). Elisabeth and I are exhausted! Tomorrow we find out about her ear.

Today results were TOTALLY turned around from what I expected! Turns out that Seth is about to stop growing (woohoo 6' 5" is tall enough in my book) and we no longer have to be concerned about his scoliosis even though it's at a greater degree than Elisa's. Elisa we have to go back in 4 months for another xray because she might need to wear a brace!!!!

school is just 3 weeks away and I don't feel like we have had much of a summer!!!!

Edith, huge congrats to all of you!

Ang, I can see your gallery.

Lee, I'm game for VSN hostessing, will checkin there next.

I'm very happy to say I do not have 50 things to pick up in my living room. Just 4 things, 3 pes that the kids brought home from truck show yesterday and a bag of pretzels on dh's end table. Took care of those.

I forgot to put the roast in the crock pot this morning. Will make it tomorrow.

I house cleaned the spare bedroom. Wiped down walls, woodwork, windows, furniture, washed sheets. Even cleaned out the closet.

I missed a few posts.

No one brought food, but we are Italian so tend to feed everyone to much anyway.

Ang, I would be exhausted as well. That is a lot to do and worry about.

I really hope that Elisa's condition stabilizes so that she doesn't have to go the route of a brace...

Home from swim and Target. I was very good and didn't even go to the school supply side since I didn't have the list with me lest I be tempted. I LOVE school supplies so it would be a very big temptation.

Cleaned up the things the dog knocked over while we were gone, brought everything in.

TDD:
Make hot chocolate for everyone
Pick up 50 things in the kitchen
Pick up 25 things in the living room

Yeah, this is the first year in ages that I've *needed* school supplies so I can't just flit around buying whatever strikes my fancy. I get so excited when I see them! I don't think I've ever missed a chance to check them out before. I will be armed with the list next time.

Edith, Thanks so much, it all hit me one evening last week. I was receiving confirmation calls all day on up coming appointments. All to places I hadn't been before and I was trying to keep it all straight plus move around a tutoring appointment, and keep a couple of volunteer appointments. I had notes on my door and notes on the calendar. it was a little crazy! Sometimes when we have a little free time....I just feel like someone hits my off switch and nothing gets accomplished!

On the bright side some of the things that had potential alarm are all ok for now and doctors have baselines PLUS other than the 4 month xray and a possible surgery everything should be done by back to school time!

Paula, if it's something else I TOTALLY understand needing to sit out....but if it's just commenting, I don't think that is a requirement. (someone can tell me if I am wrong on that). I LOVED your challenge last time. It was a crazy time at our house so I only did a few challenges but I squeezed yours in!

If you need someone to comment on your gallery entrants, I would be happy to do it. I comment on all of mine but I can't comment on every single entrant to VSN. I think there might be a few ladies that do that but most don't. I would get tendinitis if I had the time! LOL

Awww...I hope it's not bad and E doesn't have to wear the brace.

3 weeks!! We still have over a month and a half before the kids (and me!) go back to school. September 3rd.

Brent had a really good friend who was Italian when he lived in British Columbia. Brent can eat A LOT. He told me that whenever he went to Bobby's house he always came out sick because his mother always wanted him to eat!

Today's list is uncertain, for the most part, at this time. The things I KNOW I HAVE to do are

1. up
2. dressed
3. DD2 up & dressed
4. breakfast
5. hit the door to go teach a class (DD2 will be going across the street to the EOC to look for a job while I'm teaching)
6. meet a friend for lunch - she had to cancel but took dd2 to fill out application so I guess that kinda counts

7. talk with my 31 rep ref an order (I'm sure it was right but the customer says maybe no, arg)
8. place a SU order so I do not lose my status. I just can't seem to get it done this year
9. do our mini mission
10. make a list for dd2 & I for the rest of the day (this will be the cleaning list)

11. go to the college and drop off some paperwork

That pretty much comprised my list for the day. Really wanted to get more done but after running dd2 around to fill out a few applications and dinner there just wasn't much left of me.

I'm not sure exactly when school starts here but usually around my son's birthday (Aug 1. I haven't HAD to purchase school supplies in so long but I still seem to always feel like I NEED to purchase them. I usually find a family that is having a tough time and make sure they have a good assortment/supply of supplies. It lets me buy school supplies and feel good about it as well.

BTW - I was given nearly 3 gallons of paint (high dollar with the primer already in it). 2 of them are the same color while the other is very slightly different colored. I would not necessarily use the 3rd but mixed with the other 2 I think it would thin the color out enough that I wouldn't mind it AND it would give me enough to paint my entire kitchen cabinets and a wall that going into my living room as an accent wall in there (how's that for a run on LOL). Anyway - do any of you know whether Lowes or Home Depot sells 5 gallon buckets with lids so I could mix the paint and store it? Once I've finished I can put the left overs (if there are any) into one of the gallon pails.
