Dh out the door to work. He is flying 4 days this week but, each night he overnights here in Austin so he gets to come home. This rarely happens! Usually he is gone 3-4 days.

Think I'll head over to michaels and check out the clearance racks. Want to go to book store to check out a book before buying.

Very very blustery day here! And they say we're gonna get to 75. 77 tomorrow. Austin is supposed to get to 79!

Morning fellow Flybabies

I had a quiet weekend by myself with OH away, didn't do a whole lot on Saturday apart from Groceries, stripping master bed, putting groceries away, emptying dishwasher and making mushroom risotto (recipe on the menu thread), Sunday was even less, I made master bed (I sleep in different bed when OH is away as I sleep better lol) I watched some movies, I put a load of laundry on, I did the garbage and I made peroiges in a sauce in the oven.....that was it lol!

I made a few cards as well.

It snowed overnight so I woke up to 3 inches of snow, and the drive to work involved ice pellets and freezing rain...joy!

To do:-

Dry laundry
put away laundry
empty dishwasher
washup peroigie dish that is in sink steeping
Get garbage ready for the curb
....and shovel snow if it's still on the drive

Hugs to everyone feeling poorly xxx

a leak!?! it's not like it's a water line!

I think I understand that tho...they told us when they put in our satellite (TV) that the more splices or connections you had in the line from the satellite, the more chance something would go wrong.

bummer. i was hoping it was something simple.

how do you find leaks in internet connection? Aren't we just learning new stuff every day? LOL.

He said that's what happens to the fiber optics cables. A squirrel could chew on the line & damage it enough so there is still connection, but it's a "leak" because it isn't running at the full speed.

Hope he finds it...sure is annoying. @ one time we must have had a "leak", although they didn't call it a "leak"...they thought rain / moisture was getting in the line cuz when it got wet outside, our internet went wonky. I guess they got it fixed. Finally. Thank goodness. Sometimes I have to go get the cat off the router, so I have internet connection on my desktop @ home. LOL. what a cat. She knocked off one of my Prima chalk inks...the coltsfoot (mustardish yellow) and rolled over the ink pad! yeah...she's wearing Coltsfoot ink as a collar.

Just a quick drop/plop & run - I'm like the white rabbit "I'm late, I'm late for a very important date. No time to say hello, good-bye. I'm late, I'm late, I'm late"

Up and dressed - check
breakfast - check
made bed - check
college for 10am meeting (lasted until 1:30) - check
lunch - NO CHECK unless you count the mint and individual reece's cup
2pm scope of practice and paperwork - check
called lady about beach thing - check but have to add it back she was not available

Left to do
deciding on my lupper (lunch & supper combined)
class at 5
wash a load of clothes
work on a couple of things for the accreditation for tomorrow
finish up paperwork for class to turn in tomorrow
feed the cat
shower
bed

Hope everyone is having a great day - talk with you later

Still haven't made it to my craft area... but my Feb & March calendars are updated, emails sent about registration times, hotels booked, etc.

Maybe now I can spend 15 min on cards. I only need 11 this week.

The boys came running in saying there was green plants growing in the flower bed. Got sidetracked in a good way, cleaning & re-arranging some flower pots. Swept the front walk area.

I did get ONE image stamped & colored. Not making too much progress in the card dept here!

Our little guy's nick name was Buddy. He was born on May 22, 2007. He, as I said, underwent the 2nd surgery and did great. He was discharged from his cardiovascular surgeon a month after his last surgery. His cardiologist saw him every other week for nearly a year and had decided to stretch it to monthly the end of April or 1st week of May. They left his central line (IV sort of) in place after his Feb surgery (2nd heart surgery) because he was to have a spinal cord release in April or May which would also require a sedated MRI of his spine prior to the surgery. In mid April they attempted the MRI but after much medication they found that the central line had come out of place and had to be removed. He had a growth spert and gained 3 lbs - doesn't sound like much but it makes a difference. On May 9, 2007 he passed away. It was not heart related. They believe, as he had just seen his cardiologist & had a 12 lead ECG 2 days before, that he had a blood clot that caused his death. They believe it was from the central line coming out of place but was unforseenable as they had done all tests were done.

So to make this long story short he was just shy of his 1st birthday. By that time he had been under general anesthesia 10 times (8 times for surgeries) and spent 20+ weeks in the hospital, most of which were in PICU. Admittedly we were expecting him to be with us until his late teens to early 20's but we spend every day as if it were our last and loved him 20 years worth. Having said all that we were so blessed to have him as long as we did.

We have friends from the hospital who have children with heart issues who are doing well and you'd never know unless you saw the scars. I wish you years and years of blessings with your little guy.
So sorry. This breaks my heart...

He has this ingrained perfectionism that sends him looking at all these odd-shaped difficult to do contraptions when all I want is a simple 2 shelf bookcase for Little J. Not to mention that he doesn't have the experience to make something like this:

https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/i...ZtmcyLhR-mAKmS

All I see when I look at this is a project that will never get done with his busy schedule (full time student and stay-at-home dad) and wasted space.

b) not sure when he would get it done. It could be AGES

once Little J has space for his overflowing books, we'll see about one for us.

Anyway...that's a big part of the issue. Boxes of books. There are other issues too though.
I know what you mean....except I'M the unrealistic one in the relationship! I come up with the elaborate projects for Brent to do...and he tells me that he would never be able to find the time to do it. Actually...he says..."NOT ANOTHER PROJECT FOR ME TO DO!!!"

I have boxes of books in my room...and I want Brent to build a bookshelf door. (It's supposedly on his list! ) We need to take out the closet door that leads to our closet and our bathroom because it is just not working there. I'm hoping he will replace it with the bookshelf door! Fingers crossed!

That is exciting news! I'm going to stamp after I am done with my steak. I had my salad and my dessert, now just waiting for steak to sit a couple of minutes fresh off the grill, a meal for a queen all by myself,

Home! We do not have the flu!!! He did a flu test on Amelia and it was completely negative. So thankful! He said it's probably just colds. Ibuprofen/Tylenol for Amelia and I can give children's cough syrup if needed to the boys. Little miss is asleep on me right now and she really needs it so I'm just sitting here.
