Another change in plans. Miss K came home from a playdate with a temp of 102.6 I gave her Ibuprofen. So pitiful. Her temp was still 102 at dinner time so gave Tylenol. She's perking up a bit. Her cough has been getting worse all week but wasn't really sure how much was real and how much drama. Whatever the case before, she's sick for sure now. I cancelled my SIL which is just as well. I don't think I'm up to all the prep. I did make a dent in the basement mess though. Slowly but surely....
I also dragged myself to the retirement community to decide if it's the right place for maternal grandma and ended up putting in application and fee. Now mom can get things rolling on her end.
Oh my, you don't feel well and now Miss K too. I hope you both get to feeling better really soon. Sorry about all the changes in plans but it does sound like this time may be for the best.

Well my day has not been what I planned. Thank you Mother Nature, both in a good way and a bad one. So for today I've gotten little that I'd planned to do done.
My list so far
got dressed
got breakfast
read day 19 in Joel Osteen's book "I Declare" (I've been reading that book daily)
fixed hot water for tea
made my bed
wipped down the bathroom
took the garbage out
took dh to pick up our truck from getting a new alternator (just replaced by another mechanic last year)
caught up on here
vegged for the rest of the time
made brownies for dh to take to work tonight
got dh's dinner ready to go with him
scrapped ice off the windows of the truck for him (I'd say we got between 1/4 & 1/2 inch sleet & freezing rain today - at 2:30 it was 23 F which is pretty low for us)
I'll work on more things tomorrow but I think I'm going to snuggle up with a book and read for a while. Just good ole pleasure reading.

- no one is leaving the house. boy not happy. oh well.

- micky d's lunch brought home by DH. someone left the house.

- fun chit chat with the boy...goofing off.

- rescue master bedroom / master bathroom / kitchen
- update list
- DESK TIME - ordered online for the boy
- DESK TIME - cut journaling cards from a pad...IDK what the brand was, but it was a new thing @ Mike's.
- DESK TIME - sort papers
- DESK TIME - do books / pay bills
- DESK TIME - file away receipts / papers
- DESK TIME - 2 of 3 online items dealt with - need to check on something before i can do the third thing.
- supper in oven - veggie lasagne from freezer

Just a quickie post. Having a great time with friends! Wine tasting yesterday and watched sunset here on our property. Then a great grilled steak dinner.

We have DH company party tonight, dinner on them. Mmmm at a great place
Still sick. Just want to sleep. Had interrupted sleep last night. Miss K woke up crying from a nightmare at 0:dark-thirty. I went down and assured her there were no bad guys in our house, gave her more meds, had her eat a few cheerios so her tummy wouldn't be upset and then climbed into bed with her. Did not sleep well! Then around 7 her brother woke up crying. It was still dark so I told him it wasn't time to get up yet. Put them in bed together and went upstairs to try to get more sleep.
Kids are fighting and lying and all sorts of general mayhem. I think we will have an early lunch then nap! After time-outs are done, I'll have them pick-up before lunch and then off they'll go! (and me too)

Make whole wheat pancakes for breakfast
I'm with you about staying in my Jammies as long as I can and I should know in a few if that is going to be possible. If I have to get dressed it will be a quick thing and out the door for a SU workshop. If not we will be rescheduling because the roads are still slick and crunchy.
I'll admit I'd love some of your whole wheat pancakes. Sounds yummy!

I think I am getting what I had back at Christmas so I'm going to take a chill day. As it turns out my SU workshop for today has been postponed until another time because of ice (and some other reasons that I just won't go into but I am not surprised by part of it) So today I'm thinking I will be doing things I can just chill and do. Not sure what that is right now but I'll figure it out. I know I need to make a goal list for another thread and maybe a master list to work from and tweek for a daily list for this one.

read, nap. told someone to leave me alone, I was sleeping. nice sleep. someone...DH...woke me from a nice sleep to tell me he had lunch from mcdonalds. ok. got up to eat that. watched star wars clone wars...and here i am. i should shake out the cobwebs...but i dunno.

errands accomplished: bottles returned to depot (refund); picked up printer ink (couldn't remember yesterday what model of printer I had so didn't risk picking up the wrong type yesterday), Good Will drop off

Nice 2 hour nap. Kids are in better mood. This flu is kicking my butt. Miss K just said she wants to do the dishes. Don't have to ask me twice! I'll fold a load of towels while shes' doing that and then can switch laundry. I'm doing all my bedding again in case allergies are contributing.

i used to do that kind of thing but as i got older i realized it really doesn't matter, the bake the same, sometimes better when they are not so shiny. I found more fun things i wanted to do than make sure my pans and cookie sheets were shiny. just sayin' --there was definitely a feeling of freedom in that decision i made.

having fun, i made three cards today, updated my memory manager with photos, got pics off my ipad, cleanded out some files. DH just told me in the third week of March I am invited with him to go to FL. It is a humanitarian business trip. He will be painting, I will be working on gardens and flowers. Yay for a free fun trip.
Now i better go and get this pink rollers out of my hair. Yes LOL I rolled my hair in pink rollers. Seeing if i can create a new look. We have the pahtayyy to attend tonight, it's not real dress up, everyone is pretty casual so i don't want to over dress.
