Good morning y'all!

Had another bad nights sleep. Or rather I couldn't fall asleep. So I just laid there till 1:00. Then I woke up at 7 but decided not to get up and managed to fall back to sleep until 8:30. that helped.

Friends come today. Not until the afternoon.

Melissa - So sorry you had a fall. Hope your aching from it is short lived and hope you didn't seriously hurt anything. I'm also hoping that the phone got taken home yesterday and is turned on today.

Oh Cher, I have trouble sleeping before something I'm excited about or something new. I'd bet your friends coming today cause that night of insomnia. Hopefully you can grab a catnap today before they come. ENJOY your time with them.

I'm off to the college for an 11am meeting. They are closing at noon and I've sent a message to my boss about the meeting but he hasn't responded so I guess I've got to go. ARG!

We already have a dusting of snow and ice. I heard a car go by and it was crunching. They said it wasn't to come in until noonish but by 9:30 it had already started. I'm hoping that means it will end sooner.

Talk with y'all later taters.

Ok, I am off to P.O. happy with myself for not procraftinating!

Bday card off to MN to SIL - I never send out cards to SIL so points to me!

3 sympathy cards to Steve's Aunt and cousins. It was kind of hard to create them spur of the moment....that's why we should have a stash! Steve's Uncle passed away suddenly. They thought he had the flu but had heart problems. Very sad.

Still sick. I was feeling better by yesterday afternoon but then took Miss K to her counseling appt. and only made it halfway through before I started getting chills. I had intended to go to Meijer, grab a bite to eat in the food court and then shop for a new scale that has BMI on it but felt so awful...woozy and queasy....that we just went home. I thought I'd be going to work today but woke up feeling horrible with next to no voice. Not good for a speech therapist!

I didn't find my SLP license paperwork so I printed it again and filled it out. I'm hoping I took the other set to work and that it didn't go out with the recycling. It has my proof of fingerprinting with it that I have to send in with the application (and a check for $95 of course).

so...today......mostly take it easy but I will

Do one load of laundry
Quilt!
Rest
Go look at a retirement home and probably sign a lease

My mom is anxious for me to do that last part. She is moving back to MI!!!! Her target is April 1 but can't really do anything until we get the living situation figured out for Grandma. She has to give notice for Grandma's current home plus notice at work for a 3 month leave. She's taking a leave to give her time to get up here, find a job, etc. She'll have to pay for her insurance but at least she'll keep it. She's going to stay with my brother until she finds a little house or cottage to rent. So excited! I'm not sure how she will manage the cold with her circulation issues (Renaud's).

Looks very nice Misti. We don't have real nightstands right now. Kevin's is a wooden 2 drawer file cabinet and mine is an old wooden desk (child size). I have been working on it a little bit. It needs more help!

Slow going this morning. Cleaned my nightstand (thanks Misti!), started cleaning my dresser, wiped down all the kitchen knobs and the front of the microwave, breakfast, and I blogged. I know! First time since September! Anyway. Need to make a mega-grocery list and get moving. My brother is here so I'm going to try to pick up a little more, but stress a little less. If that even makes sense? Probably not.

Hugs, Marnie! I hope you feel better soon and that you find the paperwork! How exciting about your mom!

So happy and thankful that Zack is doing so well! I didn't realize he was so close in age to our little princess. She is just about to turn 6 months old.

Hi y'all! Happy Friday!

Slow moving here this morning but I need to fly now. I think I'll start with a TDD.

1. Load dishwasher after DD1 unloads it
2. Put out hot spots
3. Fold & put away towels

I hope y'all have a terrific day!

Change in plans. My SIL called and wants to start painting J's room tomorrow. She is painting rolling hills and roads on his wall and I will add car, truck, plane, hot air balloon decals. She is also bringing her 2 kids (thankfully one is 13 and can supervise the other 3...or at least help). So....J's room will have to be rearranged (as in some stuff moved out of there). The trick is, when I painted it this summer, there wasn't nearly was much shtuff in the LR. Plus there was less shtuff in his room. So....went down to basement to make it more "playroomish". DH and I (mostly I) have been working on this for weeks. I pitched more stuff, recycled more stuff and have more stuff to donate to Goodwill. In process of rearranging to make a play area in the middle plus will bring down (or actually have kids carry down) all of DS's trucks and a couple of his bigger toys. Will have DH move the easel downstairs. Then can rearrange LR short term to move his rack of toy containers out there (like I did this summer). I asked her to paint way before Christmas but with holiday craziness, etc it hasn't been done yet. We revised our plan based on her thoughts/experience. She has another painting job in the works but wants to get J's room done first. So....I said yes.

Taking a break now for more tea and then will have soup and crackers in a bit. She also wants me to dust/wash walls tonight so she can start painting in AM. Sigh.

I am THRILLED! I didn't think we would ever live in the same state again. So glad she will be around more to see us and the kids. I miss her so much and talk or text almost every day.
