I teach a couple of computer classes. One is Basic while the other a bit more advanced. There are a few online tutorial or typing games you can play for free. The one I find most useful is typinggame.net. Try that one, if you'd like. It gives lessons, allows you to practice for speed and accuracy and it allows you to play games. There is also a program you can purchase that has some really cool games etc as well. It is called Mavis Beacon. I think it costs less than $30 American. The bottom line is to keep practicing and the speed and accuracy will come. I have students who start with 2-3 words a minute and in a few weeks (we meet 6 hours per week M&W for 3 hours for a total of 30 hours) they are up to 20 or so or more. Many of them do not practice outside of class as they do not have internet service.

Talk with DD1 (Jessica) about getting her shop vac to do heating vents, etc
Take a 30 min soaking bath in hopes that the back will be nicer

To do
1 -Put dishes away - we have a dishwasher but with only 2 of us now I don't use it Done and washed dinner's dishes too
2 -Fold sheets from last night's laundry and put away - Done
3 -Wash a load of delicates - Done - must air dry so come on air
4 -Go to Staples for a few supplies for dh for work and for me to organize some - done for dh but couldn't find what I wanted
5 -Re-read the Pinterest post ref cleaning heating vents
6 -Purchase a new toilet brush to use for the vent project
7 -Finish taking down and putting away the last bit of Christmas decorations - finally finished this one everything's all packed up and ready to go back into the attic in the place I set up for it
8 =Spend 5 minutes in each room and see what I can get accomplished - 5 minutes in bathrooms, laundryroom, kitchen/dinningroom, livingroom, bedroom x2 I still need to work on my craft cave and my smaller bedroom
9 -Get more tomatoes for the chili (boy am I having trouble getting it right this time but I like to let it cook for a while anyway) - Still working on this - got the items but it's still not right
10- Figure out something for dinner, though if I'm lucky the hubs will have that planned out for when we go on our errands - dh had lunch plans for us so we had chili over whole wheat noodles and cheesy bread for dinner - done
11 - Forgot that I probably need to eat some breakfast - did that too
I feel pretty good about today. Forgot to get the toilet brush and still need to check out pinterest for the vent cleaning - dd1 will be bringing the shop vac tomorrow so I can start them.

I also need to figure out the chili thing as well.

DH made it home safely last night after waiting thirty min for his luggage and the slowly driving home. The highways were glare ice. I was nervous. I told him to stay in Wausau, but he's a man and had to drive it.

I'm using a free online tutor at home... Learn to Type | Free Typing Tutor | Typing Course Its really nice because you log in and it monitors your progress. Plus, when you go back there it will start uo where you left off. I just finished the beginners courses and now I'm moving on to the intermediate. I did go from 18 words/minute at the start to 28 words/minute! I need 30 words/minute in April to pass the course. I'm sure I will get it.

Glad he made it home safe and sound.

You're welcomed. Sounds like a cool site too. And I'm sure you'll get to that 30 words a minute plus some by April if you keep at it.

I can help you with your first two goals!

TDD - Triple Dog Dare, I think it came from the Flylady facebook page...you dare yourself to get three things done. You are supposed to write three quick tasks down, leave the computer and go do them, and come back when they are done and report that they are done.

WHB - Weekly Home Blessing...and here's a link to that! FLY FAQ | FlyLady.net

I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Jayden was up off and on all last night with nightmares, fever, "don't feel good". A nap is definitely in order today. Putting a movie on for kids now....

I just did the first typing test in the Intermediate lesson section and I got a gross speed of 38 words/minute, a net speed of 30 words/minute and an accuracy of 96%! I guess need to work on my accuracy a bit more but I am liking my speed!

Oh...so sorry. Perhaps you can lay on the couch and have a nap while the kids are watching the movie. I do this sometimes...you kinda sleep with one eye open but it does help you to feel a little better.

Hope you feel better, marnie!

Go Patricia!

Your list is cracking me up, Donna. And I def know what hissy fits are.

Jeff took the boys to the gym with him. Amelia is just about asleep. I'm going to put her down and do 15-30 min of picking up, then get started on birthday cards. (Now, mind you, I could spend hours picking up and cleaning. But that ain't gonna happen.)
