woohoo!

I did not shock or amaze DH....he said, "you are a good at keeping house...doesn't surprise me you got it all done" (I think that is kind of praise) He did walk in the room and say "wow!"

All things are back in closet.
Found more trash
organized Steve's hanging shirts and organized my clothes because of the new organization we are trying, I lost a bar for hanging. (good thing I have taken so much out lately)
Found a few more things for thrift.

BATHROOM...WOOHOO!
Clean toilet
shiny sink
shiny mirror
scrubbed floor

Thanks Misti for the missions!

Supper is in the crockpot....so I am off to work on the fixings!

Dh got a deer this past weekend. He is just now processing it. So far we have 10 pounds of blackstrap and "hams" and 15 pounds of chunks to be mixed with some fatty brisket to be ground for hamburger. I think that means we have about 40 pounds of venison in our freezer.

Yes! I'm gonna have to look up some more recipes for the blackstrap and ham hunks. I m gonna make some breakfast sausage with the chunk meat and some hamburger which I have never tried before.

Dh thinks he is going hunting again tomorrow. I don't have a lot more room in the freezer! but I guess that's good.

I got these done with DD1's help. We also cleaned the toilets and showers/tubs in both bathrooms. I've dealt with some paper work stuff about the baby. Now I need to get some laundry folded and put away.

Hello everyone,
Misti, Paula, Melissa, Angie & Christi it was so nice of you to welcome me.

I have to say I may not be posting every day, though I do like the idea. I am a part-time instructor at our local community college in the EMS, CPR & HRD programs and sub for several instructors. I have recently started working with my EMS Programs director to help him get our college nationally accreditated for that program (a arduous process) which has kept me busy 60-70 hours a month additional to my normal schedule. I average about 50 or so hours a month plus am on call for fill-ins. I am also a SU demonstrator, though that has not been going so well lately for several different reasons. I have 3 children and 2 granddaughters. My dh works for 2 county 911 systems. We are both medically retired paramedics due to injuries but have kept our credentials so we could do other things. In the last week I have learned that I have to finish my Associated degree, get my own national regestry certificate and get a career ready certificate between now and the end of the year to keep doing what I've been doing so my life has gotten over-the-top busy.

Last year I decided I was going to try to take one room or area of my house and clean/clear/declutter/organize and, where money was available, re-model or re-decorate the room/area. I have been able to clean/clear and declutter 2 rooms and started on 2 additional areas. I have a craft cave, as I call it, that looks like a bomb went off in it. That is my next area that needs to be hit when I have time away from the accreditation, teaching, classes, etc.

So now you all know a bit about me and where I'm coming from and how much I'll love the lists. Right now I've just gotten off work after teaching a CPR class this am 8-2 from set up to paperwork and 5-8:30 teaching a computer class (no I do not know all the stuff, I teach very basic classes). Tomorrow I have off, basically, so I plan to

1- go to the PO and mail 1 last swap I am signed up for and some cards to a friend's dh who is in Afgan...
2- wash several (probably 3) loads of clothes
3- wash dishes and clean off my kitchen counters
4- work on some card candy (making a card & scrapbook page to show them on) for a SU workshop on Saturday
5- take some paperwork to the college and pick up a packet for a class to teach at a volunteer fire dept on Monday
6- dust the house
7- clean my bathrooms

It has been a long day and this has been a long post so I'll stop. I hope you all have a lovely rest of your evening and a great tomorrow.

I'm not sure whether it is an explosion or just a dumping ground. It seems when I have my things out (usually at my kitchen table) people that I have to pick things up for want to come over so back into my room it has to rush without time to actually put it all away properly. Wow, how's that for a run-on sentence? LOL But it is pretty bad. I did start sorting things last year and much of my goodies are in boxes with tags attached to them telling what's in them. I spent a couple of days and it looked much better then life hit again and I haven't been able to get back in there. Soon, one day soon, I'll get back to it, I hope. LOL

Yes ma'am, I do have a very busy year ahead. Even if my teaching scheduled slows down, I have plenty to do around my own home.

I woke up WAAAAYYYYY earlier than I had expected or planned to. I am getting ready to wrap a package to get mailed out for a swap and write a quick note to put in an envy with a bunch of cards (you know the ones you get in the mail hoping you'll send money to purchase something else) to send to a friend's husband who is in the military. I don't need these cards and thought that he might could keep them for his guys to pull from to send home when they need or want a card.

Then while out I've got to run to the college to turn in some paperwork and pick more up. And hit Walmart - yes I need bread and milk LOL. They are calling for 2-4 inches of snow here this evening and overnight. It's funny when this is the weather forcast it seems the bread and milk isles are raped - but I really do need milk and cereal and french bread and I think some homemade chili sounds good too.

Then back home for the laundry and cleaning. Oh boy, I'm excited about today!

Very nice of your to send out GC to your friend. A wonderful way to help others out!

We have 2-4 inches of snow forecasted in the northern part of our state and yep ....I am sure the grocery stores are going to be empty today! I decided not to go and go out tomorrow for DS early bday weekend bash. Hopefully there will still be food tomorrow! Sounds like we might see some flurries but it's 52 right now and it's supposed to be back up to 52 again tomorrow....

DS asked me again today why we haven't seen any snow in the last couple of years.

Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.
