I had a feeling you would not put up with a clique and make friends! Glad you aren't the oldest student!!! Now days so many different ages are going to college!
There are 3 other girls that started this semester with me...they are a clique...I got in with them. There are the "older" crowd from last semester (1st and 2nd semesters are in the same class) and I got in with them too! Then the younger crowd...well...I'm cool with them as well. So...yeah...I kinda moved in on them all! LOL! I was also talking to a couple of people from the second year class. Like I said...its all good!
Janeen, very nice. Its so,great to,hear words of praise from our kiddos!
Patricia, yay for you. I knew you'd be good at making friends. Me, I'd be sitting in a corner by myself.
I started to sit alone in the corner...but then I remembered I wanted to step outside me comfort zone. After I made friends I did sit in a quiet corner alone for a while...I liked the peace.
Dinner is simmering away in the kitchen now. Well at least the meat. We're gonna have German goulash. I'm making it with pork and venison. It's gonna make a yummy sauce/gravyntomgomwith some noodles. Also gonna have some sautéed cabbage and some steamed carrots.
I just finished supper...mashed potatoes, carrots, and chicken wings.
Well...that's enough boring you guys about my first day of school!
I need an evening list:

I'm positive it's basic accounting! I sure hope it's not Intermediate or Advanced! Neither of those were my favorites.
Maybe cuz the Intermed & Adv acctg classes were 1.5 hours long each. uck.

Whatever Patricia! You know we were dying to know! Glad it was a good day and your homework's already done! That's great!
I actually do have homework that I forgot. Its reading...and I didn't want to open the book today (it was wrapped in plastic) because there are all kinds of little booklets in there...and it was really windy out...and I had no room left in my bag so I had to carry them in my arms!
Supper is ready, except for cooking the salmon patties. Waiting for Jeff to get home so they will be hot. Should have some to put in the freezer for another night.
Sidenote: Know what does not feel good in a cut? Onion juice. Just fyi.
Would like to work on a couple of cards tonight. Have some ideas and need to get some more ready to mail.

ETA - I'm sure it is hon! Basic accounting is actually really fun. And no...that's not the CPA talking.
I think I will like it...I like math! And, while I keep saying that I wouldn't like accounting...its because it seems big and scary! If I knew what I was doing I would probably like it.
it kind of makes me cry and makes me miss those days of taking the kids to all the new experiences. acupuncture and the the healing modalities we used with our kids were not the "norm" back then and we were looked at askance by many. but it was a good learning experience for them and they got better without drugs for the most part. We had just had WAY to many drugs in them in their young lives. Ear infections and more constantly, til I said ENOUGH! There has to be a better way. Occasionally yes, but every month, i was done with it.
Ah, i enjoy the way you enjoy you little ones and don't stress, and let them sleep, and let them get messy with blueberries. I appreciate you.

Patricia, what an exciting first day. Thanks for sharing it. Nice you have that three hour free time. How far a drive is it for you? I know you told us but i don't remember. Yep, your routines will have to kick in for sure.

and you are a whiz with numbers. you will learn it step by step and love it. i'm sure.
going to bed early tonight. I just finished two cards. felt good to work at them and just enjoy the process. it is the 7th and I have made 7 cards. I'm not really trying to do a card a day. Got two more on the list for tomrrow. oh wait, I actually have eight made.
we just had our left over chicken broccoli rice dish for supper tonight and i cooked some fresh broccoli and made some more brown rice to go with it. i didn't really like the way it turned out in the crock pot. probly won't make it like that again. it was to mushy and the broccoli disappeared.

Paula, I am thinking of you this morning and wondering if you slept much last night. I went to bed at 11. VERY good for me.....still sleeping on the couch so I don't disturb Steve's fitful sleeping when I come to bed and that cats decided to fight over the space with me. Lil Bit is so mean to Storm and wouldn't let her have her space on the couch...so Storm ran through the living room making as much noise as possible, knocking things down etc.....it was AFTER 12 before she settled into her space on the couch with me So even though I TRIED to get to bed earlier ....it didn't help!
Melissa,
Can I PM you some questions about Mama Cat? Tiger isn't doing so well.
Question to all.....What paper trimmer do you use?
Spend a few minutes tidying up a kitchen drawer... or two...
I didn't get to my fridge yesterday.....
will try to get both of these today....
I don't have any junk drawers in the kitchen....I have one tiny one for silverware and one tiny one for cloths....
ONE TINY one for the misc. knives, can opener, scoop etc. It's too tiny for what I need to use it for and it's just about to overflow.....so I need to dive into it again and see if I can find a home for some of the items somewhere else.

Moorning friends! I know an extra "o" in there, but I left it for Mollymoo!!
BIL leaves around 9-9:30. House will be quiet. I head out for a massage so that will feel nice. Need to check in on my dad. He seems to have a mild case of it, but I think mentally he may be making it worse. We'll see! Others are in the hospital with this junk going around so they must have it really bad...I hope he doesn't work himself into a hospital visit....
Off I go for some quiet time. Feeling much better today thankfully. One thing I've noticed though about us...our morning routine is very quiet, do-it-yourself. When SIL was here, she'd come out all cheery and jokey and we were all busy bustling around getting our breakfast on, etc!! And BIL is chatting away. LOL! We just aren't chatters in the morning. We're together, but not conversing much!! DH reads his bible while eating so that is a quiet time for him. Then the girls and I are just into getting breakfast into us and then getting out the door for school!!

I love my Cutterpede...I think that's the name of it anyway...12x12, bright pink and another one I have is light aqua! Just found an extra blade in a bag of sewing projects when I dug out my quilt for my friend to take home with her!!

I need about 5 min. and then I am ready to go....but I am just as good with silence as I am with chat. DH...seems to take quite a bit longer....no one really chats much at our house in the mornings...but I COULD!

There are 2 chatter boxes in our house first thing of a morning & 2 night owl chatter boxes. Any morning chattering is repaid by the night owl chatter boxes at the other end of the day!

Morning! Rainy and grey today so we are staying put! Need to do some baking today, hope for some cleaning, some craft time, and some play time. and to watch Downton Abbey tonight! Jeff finished Torchwood last night and you just can't go from one to the other.
Angie, I went to bed at midnight and the kids pretty much slept. I kept dreaming about things I would normally do, take the kids to the bathroom, work on getting Amelia in her own room, etc, but a little bit weird! So sleep kind of felt like work. sorry the cats made a ruckus! Frustrating.
Ezra is a 24/7 chatterbox! I like to talk in the morning, in slow, quiet tones, after a cup of coffee.

This was so on my list today.. Glad you reinforced it. I'm so glad you are posting these again and it is fun with the pics. I know it's something more for you to do and I appreciate it.
