Having a grrrrr moment! Worked all day on my list now it's ...CARD time.....

Trying a different fold....going fine.....

cut my papers....ummmm...maybe not the right choice....

cut 2nd set of papers (this is the twisted card....so it's a bit different shape...don't want to keep cutting into DP).

All of a sudden it's bathroom time.....

come back down....one of the papers is missing.....
looked in paper stack,
on the floor,
under paper stack,
under cutter and score boards
decided to head back upstairs...could I have had a piece of paper in my hand as I went upstairs?
went into living room
dining room
kitchen....

the paper has disappeared!!!!! What a colossal waste of time! Don't have a lot of stamping time today as is.....

You know the moment I cut into ANOTHER piece of paper...It's going to show up!!!

I'm taking it as a sign! I am changing the whole card. Lighter base, light and flowery paper....had thought of going in a more masculine direction......but now the opposite. If the paper shows up....then I will try a masculine card with it at a later time!

Good plan!

And I lose things I JUST had. All. The. Time. It is extremely frustrating. Especially, since I have most likely been procraftinating and only have a few minutes to get it done in the first place!

So far today:
Folded a bunch of clothes
Baked the rest of the cookie dough
Showered and dressed
Talked to my mom
Wiped up the plethora of soap Ezra slings around in the bathroom
Started lunch, ate
Finish unloading the dishwasher
Mix up banana bread, baking
Got Amelia down for a nap

Next up:
Declutter my desk for 5 min
Call Lonestar Bounce
Put away a stack of folded clothes

Crazy isn't it??!!!! Well today...I was actually working on house stuff so for a change I wasn't procraftinating...but seriously don't have much time. The thing is yesterday my craft room was a disaster and I cleaned it last night....so there really isn't any place for that paper to hide!!!

Still haven't found it....

LOL...I have expected my NEW paper cuts to disappear with the other one...I kept glancing back at my cutting table to make sure it hadn't walked off! LOL TRUE STORY!

This is going to be FAR prettier so all's well that ends well...I just can't wait to see where that one paper ended up!!!

I just got a call from the Y. Jayden starts preschool on Wednesday!!! I'm so excited. I have to swing by there on the way home from work to pick up paperwork. I was going to work out tonight but I'm so excited I think I'll take him to get a lunch box, backpack and nap stuff. He will go M & W from 8:30-1:30. On mondays he will have gym. Starting in March he will have swim on Mondays instead of gym. He is going to be SO excited!

We have been keeping it warmer in the house though....every year... a little warmer! I have on my BIG HEAVY sweater as well as long sleeve shirt and I have been toasty all day....when I was moving around swiftly I actually had to take it off.

I did the job E thought I should do today!!! It was on the plan glad her little REQUEST didn't sabotage me into NOT doing it!!!

This is long if you care to read it. Our son just sent me this email. He is seeking an international position with a company. His wife teaches French. This made me smile, and get tears in my eyes at the same time.

nice!

I wrote my "essay" to include with Kirstin's application to the international job fair in Feb, just last night. I really feel we'll get an opportunity from that. We'll see how it all works out. Some places won't take a non-working spouse so it's for singles or newly married young couples that both teach. BUT...if you can show you can financially support yourself on a single salary, they will usually allow it. Hmm...less than 1 year to pay off the house and no debt puts us in the right situation for sure.

So when I wrote the essay last night (single page is all you can write) I had to think about why I would be a good candidate for this (that was their essay requirement). I started thinking about all of the travel we did when we were young and how we were taught to keep an open mind and to question things or explore. I thought about you, embracing the Hmongs because you liked to go shopping in their little stores for...Asian stuff and good rice. I don't think there would be a lot of people that would have any good thoughts or comfort in going to an Asian store after being in a war. (think Gran Torino movie). I included some comments about open minds and how travel and experiences in a different culture (even in the US) definitely makes one appreciate the differences and diversity.

Mom, I thought about you taking us to all of those "crazy" people for treatments, acupuncture, massage, etc. Talk about an open mind. And how about all the different food we ate, Mexican, Asian, American, Italian, and whatever we ate when we travelled. I thought about how when I travelled it is mostly about the food. I take pictures of and bring back food, not souvenirs! I wrote about how food can be the gateway to a cultural experience. I mentioned how I like to learn the words for food in the language of the place I'm visiting, so I know how/what to order or buy in the future. That is a gateway to learning a language. I said, and am truthful, that I would attempt to learn the language of where I am first because of the food, second so I can be useful wherever I am.

I'm sure that you, as parents, laid a great foundation for this to happen. Now, we'll just see if it's supposed to be our lot.

No worries! I have already pushed myself into three different ones! LOL! I was never a "clique" person and had friends from all of them. I even made friends with the lady at the bookstore! We had something in common...OUR SHIRTS! :mgreen: I told her that she had VERY good taste!

Thanks! The best thing is that I'm not the oldest in my class!!! There at at least 6 others that are older...and there are only 20 people in the class. Its very nice!

I guess I will see at the end of this week what challenges I will have with all of this. I'm sure that whatever it is I will figure it all out. And...during those REALLY LONG breaks (today it was almost 3 hrs!!) I can get all my homework done! In one course I completed all my work for this week! That means that I can skip the first two classes on Friday! YAY! Well...unless I have things in other courses to get done. Then I will go and get it done then.

Now, we'll just see if it's supposed to be our lot.

me
Awwww....so sweet!!

Funny. It's so frustrating when you hunt and hunt and hunt! I did that last night looking for my crease pad.

Dinner is simmering away in the kitchen now. Well at least the meat. We're gonna have German goulash. I'm making it with pork and venison. It's gonna make a yummy sauce/gravyntomgomwith some noodles. Also gonna have some sautéed cabbage and some steamed carrots.
