Mrslaird...I'm wondering if you mean your fridge-freezer or a separate freezer?
My inside freezer is the fridge-freezer. I have a side by side. So the ice cube trays are on the very top, frozen fruit/veggies next shelf down, breakfast items next shelf down, supper items next shelf down. There's a drawer on bottom that doesn't have anything useful in it at the moment. The door has a couple of juice cans and then all the ice packs either for lunches or injuries, and the small ziplock of bread dough but it's not really a good place for it.
The garage freezer is a small upright. It currently has a large bag of edamame, a couple of lunch leftovers I suspect Jeff has forgotten about, and all the ice cream and popsicles.
Frozen meat if we had any would probably go in the garage freezer.
Everything is in it's original container.

Well, I paid bills so that like Suzanne I would know just what I don't have to spend. And, yeah. Good thing I did that before heading to the grocery store! Sooo, methinks I need to come up with as many pantry/freezer meals and snacks as possible for this week. To help with that, I rearranged and decluttered my freezer. I'm not sure I like how it is, it's still hard to see what's in there without digging. All the like items are together, though. I have frozen fruits and veggies on one shelf, breakfast items on one shelf, dinner items on the other shelf. Ice packs I put in the door. Not sure what's good for the little drawer on bottom. Right now, it just has ice in it. I put dessert stuff in my outside freezer. If we don't want to go out to the garage we can just live without it.
How do y'all organize your freezer? Put things in containers and label?
most definitely label. with a black sharpie marker & a date.
i keep like things together. and last time we killed a beef...I think I posted about this...but I inventoried my freezer. the shop freezer has a list on the door and the house fridge freezer has a list on the door. stuff in the big shop freezer are in walmart shopping bags, like items...like all frozen squash in one bag, all cabbage in one bag...like that. corn is stacked in the bottom...so much easier to put on gloves and just move the bags out once a week as I plan menus. there's a shelf on the shop fridge freezer that I put this week's frozen menu items. (so I don't have to dig during the week)
long story to say...like things together. label label label.

ok, not trying to be dense, but do you put things in a ziplock or some kind of plasticware and label or just scribbling it on the side of the package. I do label and date anything I cook. This is all ready to go stuff - fake chicken patties, veggie burgers, soy bacon, stir fry veggies, etc. it just doesn't stack very well.

You are on a roll! Keep it up, you are doing great!
Thank you!
Supper is done and its shower time for me. Then the kids need to get clean. I think I may tackle my closet when I go to pick out my clothes...mine is not as bad as the kids because its half Brents...and he has to do his own!
My closet is still pretty good from the last clean out...but I'm sure there are an item or two that I can take out. Plus I need to reorganize it...it has gotten a little messy!

if it comes packaged (like your burgers, bacon & veggies) I just put those in the freezer, in the package I purchase them in. as you say, they do not stack very well. those would be good candidates for that drawer. also you could lay them out flat on the top of the shelf they "belong" on. i do not mark these.
bratwurst & smokies - big packages from Sam's, I divide & use labeled ziploc bags.
bratwurst & smokies / hot dogs - small packages from Wal-mart, I just toss in the freezer.
things I make (like casseroles) I have tupperware labels (I need to find something else once I use all these) the labels aren't very big...I put what it is, the temp to cook it @ and the date. those are in pyrex dishes with the rubber lids and those stack.
bread / rolls / sometimes soup / put up fruit & veggies I put in ziploc bags and write on the bag. Ziploc brand, too.
shredded cheese from Sam's - I divide / label / freeze
pizza sauce from Sam's - divide / label / freeze
pepperoni from Sam's - divide / label / freeze
THEN, put one bag of each in a gallon ziploc bag and label it PIZZA fixin's. love finding those in the freezer.

Just 5 minutes. Just do five minutes.
I"m gonna dust off the top of the fridge while supper is cooking. I'll have a sink of water to wash dishes as I fix supper...and when I get it all settled, I will wipe off the top of the fridge. Lordy lordy...it needs it. :-/

Morning! I am not bright eyed or bushy tailed this morning. I stupidly was up until 1:45 watching a show. I am brewing a large pot of coffee and if I need to I'll make more!
Misti, great one! I was thinking last night I needed to do that!

Hugs to you!!! Nice to know I am not the only one getting lost in time! I hope the coffee does the trick. I had my cup this morning and I might warm it up for another but my brain cells seem to have kicked in.

Excellent! Not on my list for today but I am going ot add it. I am going to just do 5 min although the whole thing could use a good wipe. I noticed last night that there were some dirty spots....so since it's not exactly on my DO list today...I am just going for 5 min and catch those spots I noticed. I think instead of the top....I am going to use a tiny bit of ambition and wipe off the front instead of the top!
Not sure what I think about my 12 year old telling me she hoped I was going to do a certain job today!!!!! Sheesh....being bossed around by a 12 year old! It was on my list so I am doing it...but sheesh!

Was it a good show???
Yes. It was the last episode of Torchwood. So not as good as Doctor Who and I'm not even sure I can recommend it (way more adult), but the last season is just 5 Episodes and it's more of a miniseries. It was pretty riveting. I'm hoping to watch the season premier of downton abbey and didn't want Torchwood unresolved!

great idea with the bags, i have my frozen veggies in a bag but they are all mixed in together. I will take care of that today as "inventory freezer is on my list"

Second cup of joe. All three kids are up now. Jeff requested I mail something for him so we will be getting out today. I think I have a couple of small checks so we will drive by the bank, too. Other than that, my plan is to do as much as I can while staying as pleasant as possible because it is not the kids fault I was up ridiculously late. It's Russell T Davies' fault.
