Back after a wonderful time at Downtown Disney reconnecting with a good girlfriend from MD. I didn't accomplish anything here at the house today. Didn't even get my bed made this morning since I got up and left the house so early....well early relative to when I got out of bed. I really need to work on getting to bed earlier. Theres been way to many 1am bedtimes this week.Tomorrow I think is a stay at home day. At least at the moment it is.

I got spoiled in Kevin's other vehicle with a USB port in it. I could charge my phone if needed. There is nothing in this rental, not even a cigarette lighter to use that kind of charger.

I have been bugging him for ages to put hte futon back together so the mattress doesn't get ruined. He is almost done with that project. About half the floor is mopped (the half we've uncovered so far). Kids are excited b/c they are both waiting to play with Christmas presents that are too big for the rest of hte house (J got a train set from Papa Ducky and K got a remote control monster truck from him. Both were delighted!)

I threw the shower curtain and liner in the wash. I think they were responsible for the lingering pee smell.

Anyway....off to check on kids (they are outside) and start supper.
It's together! We all sat on it while DH read a story to the kids tonight. Of course, his choice of story wasn't all that helpful...it's a science book all about spiders and now DD is sure a spider is crawling in her bedroom to eat her.

Lots more to do there but I am feeling happy and proud of what we accomplished today. The futon was the main roadblock b/c it wasn't a project I could do on my own. Now I can putter down there bit by bit and get the rest in order.

Also while dinner was cooking, I cleaned the microwave. I had 14 min. on the oven timer until I had to turn the fish and start the rolls so I wiped down the rather nasty disgusting inside of the microwave. DH put the turntable thru the d/w. Now I don't have to cringe every time I open it. While the timer was on for the 2nd half of cooking, I wiped down the top, sides, inside seal, etc of the fridge and cooked other parts of dinner. Very productive day.

I didn't get to putting way Miss K's presents yet b/c we spent so much time in the basement. Tomorrow DH is going to take the kids to the Y to swim so I can have some me time. I'm planning to go ALONE to the bookstore and ALONE to buy a couple calendars. While I'm at the mall I'll exchange one of DD's gifts and return one of DH's. If I still have time left I will just putter around the house. There is always something to do here.

Home again, home again...jiggity jig!

Got a card in my head that I need to try to see if it will come out the way I want it. Going to try to do that before heading to bed.

Morning.....my plan for the day first consists of caffeine. Then when my brain is functional I will make a list. I think it will be a day at home. Hopefully with some crafting. I do know that at 4:30 I will be watching the Redskin game...may live in FL but still a Washington football fan!

Good morning! Brent returns to work today . Its going to be hard after having all this time off but I'm sure after a couple of days he will be back into the routine.

School starts for me tomorrow...tonight will be the true test on if my new night time routine will work or not. I'm sure there will be some wrinkles to iron out but that's ok! I'll get it all figured out!

For to day I am continuing with Misti's mini mission for Friday...which I have turned into a major mission!

So far with the mini mission I have:
1. Put away all the clean clothes on hangers in the laundry room
2. Put away all the folded clothes in the laundry room
3. Sorted the huge pile of "too small" clothes in the laundry tub
4. Bagged up the stuff too small for Nick to be taken out of the house
5. Boxed up the too small stuff for Jarod...it will fit Nick later.
6. Continued to wash clothes to clear up the dirty laundry pile
7. Decluttered Jarod's closet of stuff too small...boxed some, tossed stained stuff
8. Reorganized Jarod's closet and color coordinated his clothes.

I WANT to:
Declutter Nick's closet
Declutter my closet
Declutter my dressers
Continue with washing the dirty clothes
Go through each room to see if there are any clothes that is just laying around.

Hello
Today is my last day to sleep in but I was awakened by my daughter pitching a wall-eyed fit b/c DH said she couldn't go out to help shovel the driveway. He wanted to get it done quickly b/c he planned to take the kids to the Y to swim. It let to a major major tantrum. She was sent to her room where it continued and...well anyway...there was no sleeping through that!

Now DH and kids are gone and I have the day to myself (since when they get back it will be nap time). So many things I could do - get showered and go take care of a couple of errands ALONE, work on the LR (finding homes for more presents), work on the basement....

But what I really want to do right now is go back to bed. So.....it's not the most productive but I think I will catch a few more zzzzzz's.

You are making GREAT progress! Keep it up! It must feel so great to have all that clothing clutter out of the way.

Clothing and toys are taking over the house! And...well...my craft room has issues but that's a different story!

Thank you for the encouragement!

More clothes has been put in the washer/dryer. The clothes on hangers in Nick's closet has been decluttered and a bunch went into the garbage. Some went into the giveaway bag too.

Now I am having afternoon tea and will get back to it after that. Then my TDD will be:
1. Declutter folded clothes on the top shelf of Nick's closet
2. Go through the baskets of socks, underwear, and accessories
3. Declutter middle left shelf

Hey girls! We had a slooow start this morning, followed by a few family games of Candyland - does anyone else have "Big Rock Candy Mountain" stuck in their head when they play that? - and now I'm doing laundry and the guys are about to go to the gym.

Day is moving on and it seems people are making progress. Keep up the good work. I have read and disposed of three days of newspaper and the dishwasher has been run. I need to work on entering information into quickbooks and empty the dishwasher. Then I will make up guest bed for guest who will be arriving next Sunday and finish up pricing items for the garage sale on Tuesday. I can work on that during the football game also.

TDD:
5 min picking up in living room
5 min picking up in dining area
5 min picking up in entrance

OK I'm up now. It's 1:30. That takes care of sleeping in AND nap. Now to shower and get dressed and then decide "Should I stay or should I go?"

My face is smiling....bed made up, dishwasher emptied, and items entered into quickbooks. (Doen side of that is I realized how little money I do have...) Oh well peanut butter sandwiches for the next month. Fortunately a lot of my entertainment is cost free. It's either already paid for or really just free. Now to drag out garage sale items and price them while watching Ravens/Colts game. GO RAVENS!!!!!!!

Hello ladies
I just started an event on Facebook entitled "53 Random Acts of Kindness". It is in honor of my friend I lost to cancer 2 years ago Jan 30. She would be 53 on Feb. 11 this year so we are trying to collectively do 53 RAK's by her birthday. I invited those of you who are on FB to the event in case you would like to participate (since so many of you do kind things every day). If you would like to participate but do not want to get on FB, you could PM me your RAK and I will post it on your behalf. Anything counts. Shoveling a sidewalk for someone, letting someone go ahead of you at the grocery store, paying for someone's coffee...anything you can think of that is random and kind!

I will think of something to do to participate, Marnie. What a great way to honor your friend.

Well, I paid bills so that like Suzanne I would know just what I don't have to spend. And, yeah. Good thing I did that before heading to the grocery store! Sooo, methinks I need to come up with as many pantry/freezer meals and snacks as possible for this week. To help with that, I rearranged and decluttered my freezer. I'm not sure I like how it is, it's still hard to see what's in there without digging. All the like items are together, though. I have frozen fruits and veggies on one shelf, breakfast items on one shelf, dinner items on the other shelf. Ice packs I put in the door. Not sure what's good for the little drawer on bottom. Right now, it just has ice in it. I put dessert stuff in my outside freezer. If we don't want to go out to the garage we can just live without it.

How do y'all organize your freezer? Put things in containers and label?

I invited those of you who are on FB to the event in case you would like to participate (since so many of you do kind things every day). If you would like to participate but do not want to get on FB, you could PM me your RAK and I will post it on your behalf. Anything counts. Shoveling a sidewalk for someone, letting someone go ahead of you at the grocery store, paying for someone's coffee...anything you can think of that is random and kind!
Please add me to this!

I can't help you here! My freezer has zero organization.

Time for a break.....everything I have pulled for the sale, except for the fabric, is prices and packed up ready to go Tuesday morning. I will do the fabric tonight. It all needs to be done before I go to bed since I will be gone all day tomorrow.

Sorry I can't help you either Paula since it's been a long time since I've had much of anything in my freezer. I do like the idea of placing dessert items where you really need to want them to make the effort to get them.

Mrslaird...I'm wondering if you mean your fridge-freezer or a separate freezer?

It is a quiet afternoon here...kitchen is clean from lunch and from making apple crisp (which is currently cooling on the counter)...

Pink Snuggles took Whatchamacallit to the lake...PS is hoping that she can dog-sled on the lake...it's the time of year where we can walk on water!!!!

The others of us didn't want to get cold...

I'm going to menu plan and see if I can tweak my CJ for my new again, what might appear to be normal week! My to-do list never ends...
