Afternoon meeting cancelled due to weather warnings...current wind chill is Minus 21 and warmer is not in the forecast!

I am having an intensely slow and unproductive day today and have decided to just be okay with that. ALL I've done today is wash a load of clothes, start a card for my brother and get the kids set up to make him one, two meals, a shower, get dressed, make my bed, and play a tiny bit with the boys. We need to go to Target soooo that will probably take any get up and go I might muster. (I'm not feeling bad today, just not particularly motivated to move.)

I will:
Add a few things to my target list
Switch the laundry
Pay two paper bills

Get the two littles ready to go
Unload dishwasher
Go to Target

the principal said the boy did not bring the phone to school, mostly due to the long weekend. he said the asst principal is calling the boy's parents to ensure the phone gets brought to school tomorrow. the principal is confidence we will get the phone back.

Thanks everyone for all the hugs and prayers.

I have had again another unproductive day. Started with DS2(4yo) coming downstairs limping, he had a splinter he wouldn't let me take out and now it must have an infection. It had been looking okay and now it is swollen and he said it hurts. He will have to go to the Dr tomorrow, he is a bit of a dramatic fellow so that will not be fun.

Then I puttered on the computer far too long deciding which new curriculum to buy. I knew which company I just wasn't 100% on the level I wanted to get. So it is ordered and if I can't seem to get my act together using something like this I am just going to have to send my little ones to school next year. Maybe it really just isn't for me.

Then DD1 had speech and that adds another hour to our afternoon outing to pick up the teen from school.

Thankfully I planned the menu last week so I just got the Mexican macaroni dinner started. I have been wanting to make that for over a month now. I don't remember which of the children will eat it. But, they can always make a sandwich if they don't like it.

Snowing here but not the sort that sticks or earns snow days. Too bad.

Have a good evening everyone.

ironed all the pillowcases and place mats...yikes
my biz partner called and i let her talk all the while i ironed. it was an hour and ten minutes. she did most of the talking.
dusted all the flat surfaces and also in between the slats in the DR chairs
folded and put away second load of clothes

now: unload DW and start that soup cooking. I am making it from canned black beans, tortillas with cheese done on the griddle will be a side dish along with the salad.

Have a good evening everyone.

Good evening! First of all hugs to all who needs it...gentle hugs to Kramomma, who is probably feeling a little tender! So sorry to hear about your friend, Kramomma. Hugs to her too.

I can't wait for that phone to be back into P's hands, Melissa!! I hold my breath in anticipation everytime I read the posts...waiting to hear about the phone!

On another note, my two tests went well! I got one back (grammar) and got 91%!! The other girl got 85% and she didn't say a word! Not until one of the other girls got there and found out that she had a 84...then she said "Oh! You got 84? Well I got 85!!" Grrrrr!!! When the 84 girl told me her mark I said "Good job!!!" She asked what I had and I said, in a low voice what I had. She said "You did awesome!!" She didn't say anything to the gloater.

Now I will be patiently waiting to get my accounting mark back on Friday.

Some days are like this. But if you got out with the kiddos that is major! IMHO.

I had a god day out with dh. We took dfil out to eat lunch. He needed to get out of the house. He's doing amazingly well.
Went to Costco, whole food and kohls.

Now it's time to start dinner. Vegan bean enchiladas. Steamed Brussels sprouts and carrots and steamed spinach.

Sounds like she has low self esteem. You can either ignor her, put her down or try and boost her up. Maybe by praising her even though you did better. Or asking her advice or opinion.

When anyone asks her anything it goes straight to her head! I don't put her down or anything, and I do sit with her and do homework in the cafeteria (we help each other). But her problem comes out if she gets a better test score than someone else so she is making the other girls feel bad too. And poor Megan...oh....she gives her such a hard time. She treats her like she is stupid. It really bugs me.

Thanks. Tomorrow I'm making vegan sheppards pie. I'll use almond milk in the mashed potatoes, and I'll use carrots, parsnip, peas, and white beans in the filling.

I fell asleep in my recliner last night. Fortunately, I thought to set my cell phone's alarm clock because dh had to be up for a continuing ed class this am. He dispatches part tiem and that's where he had to be. DD1 & I have a chiropractic appt at 10:30 which usually means she pics me up at 10ish, we go to the chiro, then lunch and whatever errands we need to run (usually a grocery run or something like that). Then we come back home for the girls to get a nap before she heads home with them all. So my day is going to be kind of a bust when it comes to getting things done. However the night may be different - dh has to work so I'll be able to make all the noise I need/want to make.

So my list for the am is

-(left over from yesterday) take things out of the bedroom that do not need to be there.
- make bed
-eat breakfast - done
-get dressed - done
-take allergy meds - done
-put pans away from last night - done
-get muffins ready to take to my chiro - done
-pull things to give to DD1 so I don't forget - done

-put some Goodwill things in my car to drop off tomorrow
-lunch with the girls - done
-figure out something for dinner - done

-15 minutes in the craft cave (hoping dd1 will help while the girls are sleeping so that may be quad time)
-1 lesson on CRC

Well that's my start and I'm getting ready to hit the breakfast one.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.
So my blue/done is not all that much today. You know when you tell GOD you have a plan he says 'well let me show you mine first' LOL

While at the chiropractor's office I got a call from ds's girlfriend and then a text from ds. They were telling me that my ex-mother-in-law passed away this morning. I'm sorry for her family but she was not very nice to me and my children and her son is a totally diffrent story (the kind of man who pays for my dh to adopt his children so he doesn't have to pay child support any more - there are names for people like that but...). Anyway, dd2 didn't have minutes on her phone so we rushed through the appt & went the 20 minutes to her house to tell her. She was upset because they had not seen eachother for many reasons for many years. (the exmil said that my children weren't her son's children and treated them that way, even after we divorced).

So to make a long story short - dd1 offered for her and dsil to drive the other 2 the 1.5 hours each way tonight because dd2 was only off today. I kept the grands while they were gone. Between the dd2's house and everyone meeting at my house to leave we made a mad run to walmart to get diapers and pjs for the girls.

I know I spent some quality time with the girls and loved every minute of it but it seems I often plan to get things done on my day off and then things go amuck.

Sorry for the whine. Next time I'll forewarn you to bring some cheese before you read the post.

and then because I was talking to him on my way out of the house this morning, I left my laptop by the front door...when did I realise? when I went to get it out at work ...**Cry** so I walked in said " be back in an hour" turned around drove home and then back again!

I know I am being melodramatic, and no one is illl or dying but if frustrates me no end (can you tell) that people are mismanaging, if I did that I would lose my job!

So I warned everyone at work to leave me alone today...got my door closed, music on, and I am slowly coming down from the ceiling! ahh I am trying to relax my breathing, I called DH to see if he had heard anything as he had gone to a local jobsite this morning, nothing, it is just plain rude!

Oh, and I have a randomly sore tonsil, I think its from me swallowing something that was to hot yesteray morning....

OK, rant over

How is everyone doing? sending hugs to everyone that needs them! (((((HUGS)))))
So sorry you're having a bad day You deserve to have the feelings you have. I agree that if I did what they are doing I'd lose my job for sure.

I will say I think it's in the water or the air today, though.

No need to be ashamed. Yes we do get wrapped up in our own woes sometimes but that doesn't negate the importance to ourselves when things hits us the way it has hit you today. So no worries - you get it out and off your shoulders so you can feel better.

I have spent 20 hours in the car since Fri & I'm still not home yet. We've only been going back & forth to training.

I did see the phone didn't make it to school. I hope tomorrow is the day.

Now, I'm going to see how much I can catch up.

Afternoon meeting cancelled due to weather warnings...current wind chill is Minus 21 and warmer is not in the forecast!
Sorry it took so long to hear from your friend bit glad the results were good. Glad, also, your smash-o-gram (that is too funny) was clear for another year.

Minus 21 - OMG that is just waaayyyy toooo cold for me. You try to stay warm.

fuel has jumped way up since last time I filled my truck. whoo. whoo.
Sorry the phone did not come back today but praying tomorrow will be a better day.

I know what you mean about the price of fuel. Last week it was $3.54 closest to my house and today it is $3.75 per gallon for regular gas. They say it's because they are changing to mix from winter to summer blend. They also said it was because the economy is improving. Now I don't know about you but I'm not seeing all that much improving in my area of the world. I think it's just another way to gouge us. ARG!!!

Way to go!!! And you were worried about this one. LOL

Kramomma, it's 50* at 10:50. I can't even begin to imagine -21 wind chill!!!

Donna, a lady at the grocery store made the comment today that prices at the pump jumped & yet she was still shocked when she went to buy a bag of chips & they were $1 more than last month.

Friday I will be babysitting again so that dd1 can take whoever decides to go to the funeral. So no plans for that day either. Oh well, it could be so much worse. dyk.

I think I'm going to hit the sack. Hope you have a great night's sleep and hope we all wake rested and full of energy.

I wondered about that! I told DH I didn't think my grocery dollar was going as far as it did last time this year. I do have a Sam's receipt in last year's PL. I wonder if I kept the Feb Sam's receipt this year...probably did, since it was part cash / part debit card.

Please pray for me and Ephraim(4) today. He was up most of the night screaming hysterically over his foot. He is one of those very intense children prone to hysteria. I am not saying his foot doesn't hurt but it didn't hurt until bedtime and was fine when the tv was on and he was distracted.

I might just take him to the Urgent care rather than wait to get an appt at our pedi. I need to wait for everyone to wake up. I am not looking forward to taking him to the dr. He is quite sure he is not going. I got about 3 hours of sleep broken up being upstairs with the baby and coming down for Ephraim.

On a good note my new homeschool curriculum is due to get here Friday.

Hope everyone has a great day!

scraperwannabe...it is currently Minus 14.3 temperature and Minus 14.8 windchill...and there is very little wind at the moment! Inside my house it is 60.4 degrees...the sun is shining outside...

Someone is coming for breakfast at 9 AM...then a trip to drop off stashed items to Hands of Friendship (our local Goodwill equivalent)

Gas prices...no clue...don't look, just fill the tank...some things in life I can't control...

I do scour the ads for groceries and stock up when I think it is the lowest price so seldom do I pay the "regular" price for food items on a "oh, I need"...menu planning has saved me lots of money...

That then I spend on stamps, embellishments, and cardstock

PS...will my fridge run more efficiently since Red Bear made me take off all the pictures this year and Pink Snuggles made me remove all the magnets and notes? If yes...I'll add that money to the craft pickle jar as well!

oh...and it is now...8:45 ET...hmmm...wonder how the chapter will end today...

I'm pulling for the boy to get his phone back...(and he has probably learned several lessons along the way...)

Mini-mission...only thing in the master bedroom that doesn't belong was a sick master...who has now left for work complete with a fever...

Heads up peeps, I'm always like, that wouldn't happen around here, we're too small. But the Apple pickers are out. Hang on to your iPhones! $300 on the black market for 'em? that they would grab them right out of your hand.
