Melissa, you'll be so proud, I bought cute shoes the other day! Still no boots...although the rodeo is coming up, maybe I should splurge? (Target splurge, not "real" boot splurge.) I got cute flats at Old Navy though! I'll see if I can upload a pic from my phone to the msp thread.

Anyone have any favorite tricks for erasing the negative self talk in your head? I really need to focus on loving myself and being the best me I can be so I can be a better mom to these little ones.
Pray prapray. Cry, scream. Pray pray pray.

Then I try and take stock. Did I do something to cause this....... If yes I apologize and ask what/how could I have done it better. If im not wrong I try to explain , when things have calmed down. I used to take it hard and internalize everything. Now I can't rest until I've made my side understood..

Snow glorious Snow...ugh! so far about 8 inches, and counting...DH is away so I had to go out and clear the drive before I could leave for work, and then my co worker decided that since I was going in, I could go and pick her up...really, your not on my way...so I am being honest, I feel a bit put upon today. Our headoffice that is about 10 miles away and has had half the amount of snow has closed, but because we are the distribution centre we have to stay open... what a bunch of girls lol!

As DH is away the house is pretty tidy, but I am having two 1 year old boston terriers coming to stay for a week tonight, so I am going to say my house will not be as tidy as it is at the moment. I love them dearly, but they are terrors!

I hope everyone is feeling good, looking forward to the weekend.

Got these done plus a few more things:
* Hand washed some dishes
* Swept the front entry, living room, dining room, & kitchen
* Put clean sheets on the beds for DD2 and baby girl
* Got more laundry in progress

I still haven't stamped and I really needed to get a card in the mail today...well, really a few days ago.

Baby girl had her first PT session. It was for an hour and she did so wonderful considering it was her first time. She did voice some displeasure and let it be known that she did not like to do some of the things. She really tolerated it much better than I thought she would. Working so hard did make her breathing a lot worse and she is definitely exhausted. The PT was awesome though at going off baby girl's cues and giving her breaks when she needed them.

I'm not sure how much I'll be around today? Hubby called about 30 minutes ago to let me know he was done working for the day. He has a few errands to run and then will be home. He's leaving tomorrow morning to go to Honduras for a week. So we'll be trying to get in lots of family fun time this evening.

I'm going to work on a TDD while we wait for hubby to get home.

1. Put clean sheets on the other 2 beds (I'll do the master bed and DD1 will do her bed)
2. F/P one load of laundry
3. Put away things on my dresser

Just remember that its his issue not yours. I get "mad at the world"sometimes during TOM and Brent would get the brunt of my wrath. A very smart lady told me that it is not his fault I am feeling this way and I shouldn't take it out on him. So, when Brent is acting mean to me because he is not having a good day I remember how I felt when TOM was here...and that it is not my fault that he is feeling mean. And then I get past it. When he is having a better day I tell him that he should not have been so mean to me...rather than tell him when it is happening and causing a fight! Lucky for me Brent don't have too many bad days!!

Spent 3 hours cleaning out garden! Ready to buy plants and get them in?

Hoping all those burned calories will help me drop another pound!

Hi ladies -

So I'm trying to catch up with today's posts -

Melissa - love the mini challenge and wish I'd be able to be home today to do my list and the challenge as well - tomorrow is another day. Also I am SOOOO offended by your kitty picture - NOT!!! LOVE IT!!! Thanks for the giggle.

Paula - My bd is Monday. Yes, I did know Joel Osteen's church was in Houston but I didn't think I knew where in Texas you were. I really enjoy his programs. I know he may not be everyone's cup of tea but I've seen others that weren't mine either.

Cher - way to go with the workout AND getting your garden spot ready for this year's harvest.

Christi - So glad PT went well with baby girl.

My day did not go as I'd planned - I guess it goes to show when we make plans GOD laughs. I got a few things done before I left to go to the college for some accreditation work (only about an hour or so). As I was leaving that area I got a text from DD1 asking me to call. I wound up going straight to her house to check dgd2 and calm down both dgds & mommy. It seems they had been playing and dancing and dd1 had the girls by their lower arms (wrist area) as they were dancing. They got a bit carried away spinning and dd1 swung them around. At just that moment dgd2 began to cry and hold her wrist. So, as you can imagine, dd1 called her mommy (and since I am also a paramedic and medically trained I get a load of calls from one family member or another about one thing or another). So off to her house I went to check it out. She had told me there was no swelling, deformity or bruising so I wasn't really worried but I was summoned so off I went. Yes, they were all still teary by the time I got there (it takes 30 minutes to drive) but within a few minutes I had checked and found that in my opinion there were no broken bones but maybe a Nannie's elbow type injury (kinda like a sprain). And within a few more minutes I had both dgds asleep. So dd1 & I made some plans for upcoming events and ate some lunch. I promised dgd1 that I would be there when she woke up so, of course, I was good to my word. We played for a whiel and I finally got to head home in time to meet dh for dinner.

So as you might can tell, I got NOTHING much done today. Tomorrow is another CPR class in the morning and then I will have the rest of the weekend to get a list I'm working on done.

You got tons done! You spent time with your daughter and granddaughters! That's worth more than any decluttering you could do!

Thank you Patricia. You're right I did get lots done just not the things that were on my written and mental lists. I have to admit I am a bit disappointed about tomorrow. I agreed to teach this CPR class nearly a month ago. It is from 8:30 - 12:30 or so. DD1, dgds, their Nana and I bought tickets for a Princess breakfast at a local restaurant about the same time. It snowed/iced the day before our fun and they rescheduled it for tomorrow. I can't go and see my girlies dressed in their Princess dress-up. We even went and bought crowns, wands, necklaces and gloves for us to wear too. I'm going to have to miss it. I told dd1 to invite the other local grandmother in my place. She could use the outting because her dh (my sil's father) has terminal cancer and has refused treatment. and I ordered LOADS of pictures, PLEASE!!!

I need to be getting ready to walk out the door... but I clicked on a blog post & got enabled. Thankfully, release day is not today.

Now, I need to go finish getting everything ready to leave. I will spend 4 hours on the road today & 8 hours watching archery.

Happy Saturday!
