Good morning everyone. It is a grey rainy foggy day today here. They say that it is going to get up to 70 today, 74 tomorrow, 50 on Saturday and 33 on Sunday then back up to 63 on Monday. Do we wonder why we're all getting sick? The weather can't decide what it's going to do - early summer one day and winter the next.

I've watched the news (I do not do that very often as dh is usually watching something else) and see where MN is under 40"+ of snow and that TX/OK and points north east are going to be getting that storm. It appears that we will be getting rain only. I hope that all who are in those weather areas are taking care, being safe, and staying warm.

OOOhhhh Ahhhhhh Patricia, thanks for sharing the website. I see some "Dr. Who" things Seth might like. He isn't really asking for anything this year. On our morning radio show this morning they were talking about how they went on trips instead of giving gifts and Seth piped up and said he thought that was horrible! He likes the tradition of giving gifts. So I am wondering how do I surprise a 17 yr old on a limited budget. I just might find something Dr. Whoish!!!

Oh my, I didn't know that about MN. My poor MIL is having another dizzy spell with vomiting, I guess I need to check on her for more than one reason today....see if they ended up getting any of that snow.

That 40" is off of Lake Superior so they get a "Lake Affect or is that Effect" that we inside the state don't get...there are huge hills in Duluth and the buses can't commute the college students so even college classes were canceled yesterday!

We got about 3" inches and now it is blowing around making difficult drifts...Think I'll call my hubby and see if he made it to work yet...he left 90 minutes ago...

I'm puttering around this morning making progress but can't start apples yet because the dehydrator is still running (it sets on the counter)...

ahhh....well then, MIL probably didn't get that since they are on other end of the state but Steve's sibs live in the Cities, did they get much? Steve talks about Duluth now and then, he loved his visits there.

Gotta get focused!!!

You might truly have a cyber-friend at Whimsy Stamps...another person who got the mistaken email was allowed to use the code even though she wasn't a real winner because it was a clerical error...

I on the other hand...haven't heard from Whimsy Stamps about the clerical error...thus...no prize purchase for me yet It isn't the end of the week yet so there is still hope!

Your IL's may have gotten 3" and the metro about 5"...but the wind chill is terrible in all places!

Wind chill currently for your IL's is MINUS 22

Here...and metro MINUS 16...

Thankful for heat, a house, and a husband who works to pay the bills!

Really hard to grasp your temps and snow when it's decided to turn well, rather yuck here....I am not complaining because I like not having to use the heat and I do like the rain, but the humidity is pretty gross and unusual for Dec.

Today's Mini Mission:

Spend a few minutes looking at your dining room & entry way. Is it too cluttered? Got a hot spot? Got dust? Spend a few minutes taking care of something in one of these areas. (It's waaaaaay too cold to focus on the porch today!!!)

Dining room table has full jars that need to go to the basement...AND...it has some empty jars which need filling...

I'll take care of both...

Those are mid-late January temps for us!!!

We aren't supposed to get above freezing for over a week. I might have to go buy a coat!

Make a wise choice and you can resell it on ebay! We aren't nearly finished with cold yet...just getting started...with quite a blast at that!

Good morning y'all!

Bad night couldn't fall asleep! Maybe it was the hot cocoa and pepermint stick??? I saw 4:00am go. Y and then fell asleep slept until 9:00.

Cold here 43, yesterday was in the 70 and the day before that 82! By Saturday our high will be 36 then we jump back up a bit. Yep it's been a crazy fall.

Today.
Mini mission
Find nativity for dining room
Put away excess chairs from party
put table cloth on table
Put wreaths on windows and doors
Make turkey soup.
Maybe make turkey chili

For reals?! I guess the cold is headed our way sooner than I thought!

Morning(ish)! I've got one sick kid, grey skies, and apparently an impending cold front. So my goal today is to not get caught up in a bunch of to do's that aren't focused where they should be, on people.

Things I would like to remember to do:
Bake something
Make the house homier - tidy up, light a candle, whatever
Do something creative with the kids
Call the school before 2 to change Archer's pick up
Laundry
Dishes - somehow all the forks are dirty?

Play some music
And Target - be prepared! I want this trip to be as painless as possible!
Start a project for one of my friends' kids

Paula, looks like your cold wont be here until tomorrow.
Very windy here (well not as windy as it was at Patricia's) 19 mph.
Enjoying a hot bath and a green smoothie.
Then I will get on with my day.

I just looked at my local forecast and it says in the 50s by this afternoon. It's 77 right now so that's pretty cold! Of course, you never know! It could be Sunday before it cools down.

Good morning.
Its cold here, but 40's, so not nearly as cold as it could be. But its damp. My arthritis isn't likeing it.

We still done have a confirmed puppy name. It's between Jaec an Phury. Jaec is a combinAtion of our initials and Phury was a character in a book.

Left ear is throbbing and that's not the dizzy ear so I am a bit concerned.....CANNOT get sick

Impending trip/or some sort of surprise....I think I know what it is....I will put on my happy face because my sweetie planned it and took time off, but I wish I had thought to tell him I DIDN'T need anything but a little stamping cash!

Yep. It was the kick I needed too!

They were trying to take more and that's when red flags went up. Apparently they hijacked his email so he wasnt receiving the notice from his acct manager. The guy finally called him. Yikes.

Make sure all your passwords are strong!

So scary! I make mine a jumble so most of the time I couldn't possibly memorize them. My family hates them, but hopefully that keeps us safe. I did have the bank one so long that I had it memorized and i knew that was probably long time overdo for a change! When DH came home I asked him about his account.

There might not be a trip after all. Steve said the weather all over the country is bad. A guy at work commutes to Kansas City and he can't get home. I will be happy no matter what we do...a home weekend together would be just fine!

Not sure that she shares that enthusiasm since she is in OK or TX or KS or some place where snow is not "normal"!

Snow is a BAD 4 letter word!!!!

I did decide to buy a coat.... after 4 stores, I finally found one. At store 2, I was going to buy a purple coat if they had it in my size...

They were put on clearance a few weeks ago & most stores only had a few to begin with.

I so do not like snow. Misti hope you got a nice warm coat since it was snowing for so long there. I like the idea of a colored coat instead of the traditional black, dark blue, grey, brown. I'd like a Red one or a bright blue, purple would be nice as well.

Oh Cher, how aweful for your friend. That just goes to why I don't do banking on line. Having said that I do have a paypal acct but it has nothing to do with my other accounts as far as my password goes. I read tonight that a password should be 12-16 characters long with at least 1 number, 1 symbol & 1 capital letter. Also that the most popular password is 1234password, I think.

Fortunately the investment company will cover the loss.

My Friday list - listed a bit early but I'm here and know what I need to do already

Today's plans are

1. Work on my Christmas cards - finally decided on the design so I need to get them going.

Divided into smaller steps
a. cut the card stock - got 2 small pieces left to cut (that will give them 4 layers
d. stamp the images
e. put it all together

3. I also have some cards I'm making for gifts to work on as well - I have them all stamped and colored so I just need to cut the card stock, adhere them together and embellish them. - I have 48 of them to make but they will go pretty quickly since I don't have to do much to them at this point. Now I just need to cut the images apart & put them all together.

4. Run a few errands
a- to the college to get the things I'll need for class on Monday set up and ready b- return the book to the library - finally finished it (forgot the stupid book)
c- buy more fabric for jackets/wraps I'm making for the girlies & glasses holder for dh who broke his this weekend
d- groceries - I need bread

5. Work on getting the jackets/wraps nearly finished for the girlies Now need to get the lining ready for them since I know they fit

6. Get uniform ready for clinical fun with paramedic baby Saturday

7. Decide on dinner & get it cooked

I believe that is it. Hope you all have a great Thursday. Chat with you all later.

Thank goodness. It's still a shame that people can put that much thought and work into stealing from someone. If they put all that effort into something good imagine where they would be.
