UHM...I need to figure out how to repair the bra straps on my good bra because what I currently wear is too frumpy looking for the dress I chose...

Default Day 18

Day 18 - toy box diving!

FlyLady.net

It's not just for kids and those with kids. You, as an adult, also have toys.

15 minutes in your toy pile...whatever THAT is.

I did a little of this last night - magazines and toys. I need to do lots more! I'll do 15 minutes this morning and 15 minutes this evening at least.

I'm not doing much erranding today. I wasn't going to do any, but Jeff took all the bread to work. I need to figure out if I can find a sugar-free pecan pie somewhere and also what is a low-carb, non-dairy, Thanksgivingish side dish that travels well. And I guess I should go ahead and decide what our holiday meals will be during Hanukkah. Fried chicken isn't a good choice anymore.

Not much to toss...just items to put where they belong...

AND...I added vinegar to a container that has been in my "head" list for at least 6 months...

Go figure why I get very little done some days...

Somehow I missed this thread!

That's ok I'm just gonna jump right in. Maybe I'll add one extra day from the beginning until I've caught up.

Life has docked...it's December 2nd...

Still to do:

finish cutting out skirt
sew skirt
try on outfit
wrap gifts
figure out "reserved" seating (uhm...he has no living grandparents...and adopted Uncles and Aunts have had more of an influence in his live than blood...decisions, decisions, decisions...)
Maybe we will go with NO reserved seating for our selection!
contact restaurant for catering Friday small meal-call or visit

Week of wedding:
make mints
make gingersnap cookies

Not that my opinion matters on this at all, but I like no reserved seating if there are no grandparents. We didn't have chairs at our wedding, so it wasn't an issue!

Thank you for the opinion...I would like to go with that decision as it seems like a win/win situation...

We have chairs because it is a wedding feast...hard to stand for 3 hours and have a complete meal while standing!

It will be interesting...that's what I keep saying...Auntie Sara said...do you mean Minnesota interesting or really interesting!

Haha! We had chairs at our reception, just not our wedding. It was outside in a botanical garden and chairs weren't allowed.

Here's to good interesting!

I don't like doing things for the first time...so...my stomach feels a bit seasick thinking about this...

Seriously...right this moment my stomach is feeling queasy but it has nothing to do with linens!

I feel rejuvenated. She does the same thing over & over. Oh right. That's what routine is.

Like a scratched record...

Routine...is good...but...I must have gotten a skip in my routine and jumped to the next song which I didn't know...

I've put the needle back to the beginning...and I'm singing the same song while I fly through my morning...I need to be onto apples by 9 AM...

There's a super cruise every year. Sometimes it takes a while to find it, though. (I still think it's hard to find things on her website.)

My house does not have a linen closet and it is a problem I have not quite overcome yet. But I think I'll throw the sheets in the wash today and I do need to herd all my fall towels back into the bin.

Yesterday, I put the snowmen in the front yard and switched out the wreaths on my front door.

#1...I agree...and I seldom go there without a link.

#2...I don't have a linen closet either...I store one set of extra sheets in each bedroom closet with the extra blanket and quilt (at one time I had 4 sets of sheets for the GUEST bed because they were wedding gifts for our original bed which about 10 years ago became the guest bed.)

#3...picturing snowmen without snow...hmm...that's like thinking of Santa Claus in Australia..."Christmas where the gum trees grow, there is no frost and there is no snow, Christmas in Australia's hot, cold and frost is what its not!" (That's a song on our Australian CD gifted to us from our relatives that live there! I'm not good like T.Joy at rhymes!)

I have no linen closet either. I do have a large drawer full of place mats, which I hardly ever change. I really don't have a lot of linens. I hate statins so I use the disposable kind when I need them otherwise I like my table to be seen.

What I do want to do this year is make a place in my house for my Christmas dishes. Last year we didn't use them because they are just to heavy to bring down from the attic.... So I think I could rearrange a cabinet in the kitchen move some things from my dining room and then fit my Christmas dishes in. That's my plan (as if I don't have enough to do ).
