You all sound so productive today. Yay for lists.
good morning at 1;00p.m.
Left the house at 7:15 this a.m for GILBERT consult with surgeon post op. all is well, all is within norms, these things happen, the body will sort itself out over the next six months. Eyes are on again off again doing their impaired vision thing, incision looks great, still a bit of trauma to the leg from that first episode with the leaking artery, it will go away we are assured. So all, looks well and we will just take it slow and let the body heal.

We made several stops and GILBERT did his walking at the clinic where he had more room than our little hallway and then walked again at SAMs

Good morning everyone! I know I don't post much here but I guess I thought I should let you all know that I am still around.
We have had two days and today is day number three, of rain, fog and just cold weather here in the mountains of UT. The last two days my husband and I sat in front of the TV ALL DAY and watched episode after episode of Breaking Bad. This is something we have NEVER done but it just felt right. We started season 1 a few weeks ago so now we are in season 4 I believe. I've been knitting scarfs while watching TV so I don't feel like I am totally wasting time. LOL
Well, today I've decided that I better get started on making some cards. Although I've already completed a card for this month's challenge, I feel I need to make another one because my mood is not in the card that I made. With the weather being so cold here I feel like I need to make an August card that reflect the way the weather is here in UT.
So wish me luck as I get started on a cold August card.
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Well, I was in the craft room longer than I planned to be. I didn't get anything crafty done, though. I think someone stole my crafty mojo! I tried to work on a card...and know exactly what I wanted to do...but I just stared at it for a while...and didn't do anything with it at all. So I spent 30 minutes decluttering the pile of stuff on the floor and then the rest of the time was spent putting 11 Unity Kit of the Months into Thin Stufftainers. That is the last of the Stufftainers...but not the last of the stamp sets that need to be put away. I guess that 123stitch order will include more Stufftainers.

I wish it was you to Melissa! It would be great to have the flybabes over for a stamping visit!

We stamped, had lunch of chicken, corn on the cob and grilled veggies, then cut lots of the Flourishes cut files so I have them to last me a while.

Now to finish laundry
Kitchen routine

We are doing corn tonight so not doing much else today.

Why can't you turn her into a flybaby?

And...what are Flourishes cut files (already deleted so I can't highlight that part of your post)?

Worked on invites for the hymnsing but didn't get finished...getting myself adjusted for the next step of the afternoon...canning pears...would be great to get 7 quarts...

Oh boy! Hormones have hit with a vengeance! No wonder I couldn't concentrate on making the card. I did get my kitchen cleaned, though. Took me about 5 minutes. I was like a mad woman trying to work out the crankies...and then I looked at the calendar...yup! Hormones were due! Now I don't have to wonder if the crankies where just me or something beyond my control. Now I don't know if I should laugh, cry, or throw something at the wall! I really don't like being a girl during these days...

My guess on the cut files is Cameo / Silhouette files. Gina K has some.

ETA - probably best repharase that as electronic die cutting files.

Yes, some stamp companies sell silhouette cut files to match their stamps. I purchased several last time I went to my friends house. I loved them! So Today I cut more. Now I can stamp them and they are already trimmed very neatly. If you look at my last several cards using flourishes stamps you can see how nicely they are cut.

home from working for pay... yikes... liked it better when the boss was on vacation

in two weeks he wants me to declutter two areas - that in addition to maintaining the office. so we'll see. Asked if that meant that I'm done in 2 weeks... nope. That's just by when he wants the work done. It may mean that I work extra hours to accomplish it... both are areas in which I am not really sure of what belongs to who so it could be interesting as I fling, flang, flung and ask questions later

but. he is giving me the day for my root canal. told me he didn't expect to see me that day. at.all. I expect that I'll try to work in the missed hours before & after.

I was wondering how you did that. Thinking you didnt have a die for each one of those stamps.

You will be glad you don't have to work that day, especially bending over and flinging things higher and yon. You also will be glad to have that behind you! Thinking of you.

BUMMED SO VERY BUMMED

using orange cause I hate orange...and I hate that as soon as I dropped 6 quarts of pears into the hot water that one of the jars broke! It popped louder than I've ever heard one break before...

I AM SO VERY BUMMED...

now I will read backwards to see what's happened while I was working in the kitchen!

Hugs kramomma! Does the one jar broken mean it's all ruined? Or just that one?

Maybe you could do it the FlyLady way...have 3 piles..."Put Away", "Give Away" and "Toss"...

Have the people look through your piles and make their decision...sorta treating them like your children...(or at least like I did mine!)

Just the one quart...but...this year I decided to make quarts instead of pints because we use one pint every meal...I was trying to be economical and get more from my effort in one canner!

Bummed...so very bummed...

This was the first canner of the week too...not very exciting thinking about the next canners...I have 88 pounds of pears to process...this was probably the first of 8 canners...

That's pretty much the approach I want to take - but I think it'll work best if I can go back in the evenings so I'm not interrupted with the phones, etc...

do you find it hard to stamp the images (and get them in the right place)? Of course, maybe the stamps are clear and then you can see exactly where you're placing the image? I'm guessing??

I do like that the images are trimmed so very neatly! That's cool!

Nick would like to make friends with you guys. I told him that it's for people who like stamping. He said "I like stamping!" So, here is a message that he wanted to type all by himself!

Nick, I'm glad you like stamping! I would like to see some of what you make... maybe your Mom can take pictures to show me/us?

To Nick,

I think I would like you too!

I would let you stamp in my stamp room if you came to visit me in Minnesota. Of course you would probably prefer to be outside on our property but be sure to bring your momma so she can play in my stamp room with me!

Your sometime friend,
Mrs. A.
