Since it's going to be a long day tomorrow I'm going to go ahead and post my list

1-4 normal am things, up, dressed (yes, for sure today - can't teach in jammies), am meds, breakfast
5. fold the clothes from yesterday

6. copy some pictures from my niece & nephews' graduation onto a CD so they have them as well.
7. class form 12 - 8 (not looking forward to it - my toes has begun to whine a bit tonight and I haven't been up on it no where near all day) - at my break between classes so nearly there. WOO HOO
8. figure out dinner - mac & cheese with matie samiches
9. figure out lunch for me

I think that might do it for the day.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday. I'll check in when I can, then catch up on Wednesday am. Teaching again Wednesday night.

DH thinks we MUST have meat with each meal. I keep trying to tell him that dried beans are meat substitute but he's not buying it.

I have to admit, his not cooking is partly my fault...I'm sure he did cook at some point but he went from living with his mom, to take care of her, > alone for a short time > wife #1 > to me. He took care of and still takes care of me in other ways (no I'm not talking about TMI kinds of things) and I am thankful for that. In fact we eat out way more often than we should because he feels that by him doing that I'm not HAVING to cook with the other things I have going on. I mean, really that is a nice thing. I've tried to cook more and he says he feels guilty about it. Maybe I need to talk with him and offer to cook if he cleans up after. Sounds good to me. What do you thing?

OK - I've got to hit the bed or I'll be up forever....chat with you all tomorrow am and then at some point during the day.

Rest well my friends.

Gilbert thinks he will go to work tomorrow for a little while. He really does need to transfer some of his responsibilities a bit more during this time.

I gt to make a card for the current MFT challenge.

I got the ironing all done.

Kitchen is clean...corn is in fridge getting cold...dryer is empty...washer is empty also...

I am going to bed...was writing an email but I am too tired to form the words in well written sentences!

Red Bear did get a mouse this afternoon...and they suspect there is still another...but...nothing on the floor yet...everything in the drop ceiling...by the sliding glass door area...

Don't know what I would do if krapoppa or Red Bear didn't do the mouse patrol...well...actually I do...I wouldn't live here! That would solve that problem for me!

Now...good night...and remember...I am sleeping in tomorrow...Pink Snuggles knows she is to make krapoppa's lunch...and Red Bear's too...I hope to stay in bed until 9 AM...just because I can!

It is nice for them to cook. We have a perfect match, he likes to cook with real food. I like to bake and make desserts. The funniest thing is he doesn't even eat half the stuff he cooks me. He would never eat veggie lasagna, but its on the menu this week. He prefers meat, I prefer veggies. I think being relaxed and creative is his way to wind down from work. But, yes he does like to take care of me.

Morning! Was up way too late and Ezra got up at 6:30 this morning. Evening run down: made a card, cut out sewing projects, cleaned in craft room. Did not blog or cast on anything.

Today is an at home day. Hoping to make some progress in Amelia's room and also make pumpkin bread & muffins.

Jeff is a better cook than I am. He does almost all the cooking on the weekend. I don't bake as much now that he can't have sugar, but baking is where my kitchen love is. I'm getting better at cooking, though.

I don't bake at all now that Kevin & the boys won't eat it. I don't need to have anything sitting around tempting me!

Janeenk - glad Mr G thinks he'll feel well enough to go to the office even for a day or so to hand off some of his responsibilities.

Kra - glad RB got the mouse for you. Hope they find the last one before he freaks you out. Also sounds like you really knocked that corn out.

Paula - so sorry your little one didn't want to cooperate and sleep last night. You did seem to get quite a bit done last night in spite of it all. Hopefully today isn't one of your busier days.

Good morning! It was nice to wake up to a clean kitchen this morning! I had to restart the dishwasher, though. We had a lightening storm (no rain and very little thunder) last night and it knocked out the power half way during the dishwasher cycle. So, the dishwasher is restarted, breakfast and tea is in my belly, and Brent has started prepping supper. He is taking the skin off the chicken legs (I hate touching meat and will take Brent's help with that any day!!!) and I will make the sauce and we will throw it all in the slow cooker. Then I can get started on my list.

Joyce - I still say it's special that dh will cook for you. I love to hear when couples take care of each other in ways like that.

I make it sound like dh doesn't take care of me but he does, just not cooking for me.

I love to cook and bake BUT only when I "get the notion" to do it. I tend to want to make HUGE batches of things and freeze them so there's always something in the freezer.

Sounds like Gilbert. He very much appreciates any little thing I do for him but he doesn't much like to be waited on.

Oh, it wasn't the kids keeping me up last night. I started chatting with a friend in a different time zone while cutting things out. It was nice. Just late. I would just like it if Ezra would sleep until 7.

Brent is more likely to cook than me. Not that I CAN'T cook...I just really don't like it. I do enjoy baking, however, and would love to do it more if someone would clean up my mess!

Good morning all - I hope you all rested as well as you could.

Good googamooga - for Kra

I'm getting ready to get dressed and head out in another couple of hours to teach. The toe is swollen this am and is a bit tinder so I'm taking a 2nd, more comfy, pair of shoes so I can stand to be on my feet for nearly 8 hours - not looking forward to that at all.

In the meantime I'm going to get those clothes folded and ready for putting away when I get home tonight.

Hope y'all have a wonderful DAY!!!

I like to cook. I like to see whats in the fridge and what I can turn it into. Things rarely get duplicated bc I just use whT I have on hand and create as I go.but....I am lax about clean up and gilbert knows this. He is a sweetie and cleans up after me. He tells everyone. If she cooks, I clean and if I cook, I still clean. Always says it joking and he enjoys the clean up process. Me, not so much!

I've been baking a little bit more now that the neighbors moved in. I can split cookies and things with them. But I always try to make something for Jeff, too, and it gets challenging. There are a lot of not tasty low carb or sugar free recipes out there!

We must be total opposites Janeen, I enjoy seeing my kitchen sparkle, but when Ed cooks I clean up, when I cook I clean up. I really don't mind. He has offered to get me a cleaning person, which I did for a while but honestly no one cleans exactly the way I like it so I would pre and post clean anyway.

Uh, yeah. I must be your opposite too. If I ever say my kitchen is sparkling it is safe to assume that I spilled glitter in there.

Have you tried the flaky dessert? Some of my Favourite Recipes: Flakey Dessert

Instead of the purity cream crackers, you can use unsalted soda crackers (that's what my Aunt's mom used). You can also use sugar free ingredients. She is diabetic and this is something that she usually makes to take to gatherings.

No I haven't! I'll have to see what I can find for crackers. Jeff is picky about his ingredients sometimes.

I am a VERY picky person so I asked what was in it. When she said soda crackers and jam I turned up me nose. It didn't sound appealing to me! She MADE me taste it...and it was SO GOOD!! Brent, who is not a dessert person, loved it and is always saying we should make it. But I haven't yet! I would have never guessed there were soda crackers in it, by the way.

Pumpkin muffins made. Called my mom. Ran the dishwasher.

Next:
Start some laundry
Unload, reload the dishwasher
Clear a spot for Amelia's cubby shelf in her room

I mean because of the white flour in the crackers. He watches his carbs pretty closely and tries to keep the artificial sweeteners to a minimum. But we do use them sometimes or he'd never eat anything!

Just for the record...I was awake at 5:44 AM...a minute before the alarm...got krapoppa's clothes out for him (he has a Master's Degree but that piece of paper doesn't do anything in helping him match clothes!)...he was sound asleep when I went to bed last night so I did not make a selection before I went to bed...

After he left I went back to sleep...and dozed off and on until 7:45 AM...then read...

BUT...I didn't get out of bed until 9 AM!

Feet hit the floor and I am just now sitting for a few minutes while Butterscotch bars are baking...need something to give my neighbor boy who is checking mouse traps (1 is dead)...how many does that make in the last 4 days? I quit counting cause it's over 4 now...must have been 2 families wanting food!

Neighbor boy's mom and I are going to Chinese...no more buffet so have to order off the menu...

Best get a list of desires made so that more than just normal gets accomplished!

Supper-not sure cause I forgot to put a roast in by 9 AM...maybe pancakes and krapoppa can try the blueberry syrup! Sounds easy...

I have an amazing sinus headache / pain thing going on.

I guess I should take something for it.

I've been working on cleaning my food cupboards. I got rid of a lot of outdated stuff and stuff that has been opened and not used for a while. Plus some things that don't have expiration dates...but have been in the cupboard for way too long!

I have two shelves of the pantry left to go. The cereal cupboard is done, and 3 shelves of the pantry. The 4th shelves contents are all over my table right now...its my baking stuff and I think a lot of it will be tossed.
