It's Hump Day, Anti-Procrastination Day and No Sugar Wednesday...

I plan to enjoy the hump, work on a procrastination station and not eat sugar!

Morning! Saw my mom and Nana last night. Had a good time. I'm not sure what's on my agenda today besides a play date and trip to the library. I haven't been to the Y in forever and really feel like I should go. But there's also the fact that I have my freezer, oven, van, and toaster to deep clean between now and Friday afternoon. So we'll see.

At least 10 min getting stuff out of the van

YMCA - I will let this one go if I get too rushed
Get Archer - decide about switching to the car line

HEB?
Declutter
Wash dishes
Laundry

Something for me - either knit, crochet, or work on a card
Call Dad to see what time Friday

Good morning yall!😀

Slept ok last night. This mattress is very firm!!!!
Made oatmeal and coffee for breakfast. Had to read about my induction cooktop. Pretty easy and cleanup is a breeze.
Need to learn how to use the convection/microwave oven.

Dh and I are going wine tasting. And to the Nimitz museum in Fredericksburg. I may walk the shops while he does the museum.

Snake #2 taken care of by Whatchamacallit...but snake #3 is still alive and crawling underneath the garage where I have suspected they have lived for a couple of years...

Still working my way through the day in the sewing room and stamp room...

Riding along to the chiro this afternoon in the metro...plan to surprise K with Chik-fil-A for supper...

Hey. I'm dragging. I did work out and I'm glad I did. I had a really lousy trip to target - no one's fault, just a series of unfortunate events - and I'm just wiped. Grumble, grumble, grumble, whine, whine, whine. Anyway. Drinking another cup of coffee. Ate some protein. Put away dishes so I can wash dishes.

Done:
Start a load of laundry
Wash dishes 15 min
Put away clean clothes

TDD:
Switch laundry
Start load of car seat covers
Call Aunt Nancy

a long 31 day march indeed. i got home on thursday and Friday i was sooo cold. after talking with a friend who I said sounded short of breath and sitting ON TOP of the Eden Pure auxiallry heater i decided i SHOULD NOT be this cold coming back from CA or not. I took my temp...102. and then in the afternoon i started coughing and coughing and coughing up junk, sinuses hurt, head hurt, teeth hurt. I took tylenol and something to thin the mucous but the fever persisted into Monday. I called dr. and went in. Upper respiratory bacterial infection. More anti'b's...SIGH....even with that and codeine for the cough i am getting very little relief although today does seem better. temp is still fluctuating between 97.8 and 101.8 --can't seem to catch a break from this. I have slept pretty much Sat, Sun, Mon and Tues. today i had a bit of energy and made some chicken soup from scratch and some hummus. lucky for me DH is starting to work from home now and he has been taking good care of me. --I really really really would like to be well. BTW after i had the stress test done which i passed with flying colors, no blockages, they have determined that i did have a tiny heart attack somewhere along the line. My own Dr. was correct after all. I went in yesterday for an Echo Cardiogram which they had to keep redoing b/c i was coughing. but we got 'er done.

My husband and daughter are playing PacMan on Google Maps...guess Google Maps does something strange on April 1st...

They are laughing and "cleaning" streets...it is quite funny to listen to them each laugh and die...

Good morning everyone! I know I've been MIA for a while but I was and am still just dealing with a lot with ds's death hopping between anger and being on the verge of tears a lot of the time (which may be a bit of stress from it and work as well). 6 months & 1 day after the incident, they closed the case with the same outcome as the stated 3.5 hours after the incident. We have basically been told that they cannot prove or disprove anything else though much of what they told us lead to more questions. But I know my life must go on and there are still many things I need to do to get my home back into some type of order AND tax time is quickly upon us.

Last night the girlies spent the night with us so today will be spent, in part, playing with them. I am off the rest of the week so I will be working on taxes, 2 tests for the class I'm teaching, and picking up/putting away things from the house. I may also go buy more mulch to re-mulch the areas I did last year...it's on sale for 5 bags/$9. I think 10 will do it and maybe have a bit extra.

Janeen - I'm so sorry that you're no feeling unwell again. Have they suggested any steroids for the coughing? Many times when I have bronchitis they prescribe antibiotics, codeine cough meds and steroids as well. I hope you feel better each day, it is miserable to feel unwell again.

I can't take my vitamin in the morning because the iron messes up my thyroid pill. I try to take it in the afternoon to help me get through the midday slump.

Home!!! Two difficult spots.
Our creek crossing! Have to get a wheel for our trailer hitch on the rv.

Our drive way! Very steep!!! Dh slid down twice befor he realized he hadn't put the truck in 4 wheel low. Then he made it.😉 between steepness and curves our driveway is a challenge!!!!

Dh and I had lunch in the rv here at home. Just don't want to leave it!☺️

Thanks Kra for your understanding words. It seems I have difficult days and better days. Lately I've had more of the difficult days. I think it's because I thought while they were "investigating", if that's what you want to call what they did, I had hope that they would actually find something different but now that it is closed that hope is gone. I know that it will scar over and not be something that is constantly picked at but for right now it's that agitating scab that gets picked.

You're right the date does not change and it does sneak up on a person. This year has just been very busy with little planning on my part - totally my bad. I did get the 1st 6 months sorted but at the 9 month point is when ds died and life has been difficult since. Hopefully next year (2015 taxes) I will be able to work on things a bit at a time like I started for the 2014 tax year.

Plan for today...

Projects with hubby home...then church tonight...

Snakes were abounding yesterday...I called hubby and said...HELP...I'M BEING HELD HOSTAGE IN MY HOUSE...every time I looked out the front windows there was a snake crawling around...

He assured me it was probably the same snake...but I don't believe him!

Also K had assured me that snakes couldn't crawl up our ramp because of the space between the wooden slats...well...SHE IS WRONG...one was sunbathing on the ramp!

Hubby put some deterrent around the front of the house so maybe they will go to the back yard where I don't usually go!

i have all of the above. i've been on this anti-b now since Monday afternoon. Still coughing up green, still have a temp of 99 that feels like 102. sweating like crazy this a.m., still have fluid on the ear.....more tears which isn't good, it makes more mucous, but what's a girl to do. I was hopeful I would feel so much better than this by today. not coughing as hard or as much but that's just comparable to where i was, anyone else would say, have you been to the doctor for that cough? uhm...yes ma'm about a dozen times and the cardiologist and the pulmonary specialist and more appts coming up.

HUGS Janeen! I'm so sorry this is dragging on like this. It is so frustrating being sick for an extended period. I hope once all this is over you breathe better than you have in years!

Also, this is completely home remedy and anecdotal, but, just for your ear, maybe try peroxide? When we had all our flu/bacterial infections last year I thought for sure I was going to have to go to the dr for my ears. They hurt and made my throat hurt and there was fluid. A friend suggested I pour peroxide in my ear, let it bubble for a bit, then turn my head and let it drain out. I did it in both ears and was able to get some relief. You are definitely in a whole other realm of sick than I was, but it might make it feel a little better?

thank you Paula, i will try that. i was thinking of finding Sarah's old swim ear and giving that a try. I forgot my grandma used to have me do that for ear aches when i was a kid.

Good morning y'all!

Ok it's past morning but I like saying it.

We are hosting Easter dinner here. Just 8 of us. My dsis and her husband the kiddos and Zack and dh father.

Got my grocery shopping done this morning.

Mowed an area for Zack to run and play. Dh was supposed to do this but he has gotten side tracked and rain in coming....

Water break then:
Vacuum
Dust
Wash Dog towels and blanket
Clear off table
Pay bills
recover dining room it's a hot mess due to a water leak.
More after this!

(((Hugs))) Donna. I can't begin to imagine the suffering you are facing. Praying that time softens the hurt.

Tomorrow I'm making scalloped potatoes, cleaning and prepping green beans and asparagus, and baking an almond sponge cake and making a custard filling. The cake will be assembled on Sunday with the custard and fresh raspberries in the middle.

Dh will put the hams on the smoker sunday morning before we leave for church.

Oh Janeen - I am so sorry that you're not feeling any better after the meds have been in your system since Monday. I know how frustrating it can be to want to feel better but yet not. I pray that you will feel even a little better each day.

Love and hugs and prayers

Cher - thank you for the hugs and prayers. There are days when I'm better than others, today isn't really one of those days. I'm feeling overwhelmed a lot lately and if you look at my house you will see all the evidence of that. I am thankful that the weather is getting nicer which may help my mood a bit. Monday I plan to call my dr and see if I can come in to see him to talk about more meds for me. Nothing like better living through chemistry. LOL I also think I need to have a talk with my family. It seems I get frustrated when they tell me they're going to help do something because often they say they will but then don't because something else comes up. I am not one to ask for help unless I really feel like I need it so when I ask I need it soon and ...well you get the point. Maybe letting them know how I feel will help as well. Who knows, but it can't hurt much. I know we're all missing my son and all dealing with the loss the best we can. But again, thank you for the hugs and prayers. Sorry for the Debbie Downer
