This 30 minutes is taking me longer than I thought!!! Between phone calls and helping Nick with a project that is due tomorrow (I forgot about it!!) supper is just getting cooked now.

Happy Birthday Lee!

Patricia, I think you made a good decision to wait. I need a new kitchenette set but can't find one I like. So we continue to use the one with watermarks and a big nail polish remover mark. But it does get used hard and the place mats cover most of the bad spots.

We made our strawberry box today. Now I need to get some strawberry plants.
I also picked 5 hanging baskets and a flat of marigolds at Home Depot for 6$. The frost hit ome of the blooms so they had them on clearance. Ill keep them in at night and give them marigold and I think they should come back nicely.

DH is making homemade Chinese take out. Mandarin chicken with broccoli.

Tonight I plan on spending some time in the craft room.

I think it was a good decision too. I'm going to take a look in Port aux Basques tomorrow after class.

Strawberries are so yummy!! I have never grown any....but I LOVE to eat them!

Supper has been cooked and eaten.

Nicks project is complete...do you know how long it takes to get a 5 year old to write 7 sentences??!

Both kids have been bathed.

Now its time for them to go to bed.

Then I need to:
study
night time routine
pick out clothes for me and the kids for tomorrow
pack my workout bag for tomorrow
make sure all my stuff is in my book bag
go to bed

Good morning!
Honestly I have no idea how you all accomplish so much with little ones. I'm preparing to have a 3 year old from this afternoon until Friday night. I am planning on not getting anything done this week.

Today's Mini Mission:

We are in the master bedroom. Let's spend a few minutes putting things away.

My master bedroom used to be a dumping ground, but by consistently working on it, it is now chaos free. It only takes 5 min or so a day to keep it that way.

Talked on the phone with a friend and went through a few things in my closet, mostly jewelry. No visual difference because it's all tiny stuff, but I'm slowly clearing out things that, even though I mostly still like them, I don't wear them and don't see myself wearing them either. (I used to love making beaded choker necklaces, but I don't like the way they feel anymore.)

TDD:
Breakfast for the kids
Unload, reload the dishwasher
Start a load of laundry
Shower, dress

I giggled when I read this one. Does someone still have a tripod in the corner? Just asking... LOL

I used to wear chokers when I was in high school but now if I put anything shorter than 18" I feel like I'm choking. Even regular t-shirts I wind up pulling at them the entire time I have them on. I guess, if you believe in reincarnation, I died with something around my throat in a former life. I must not have been such a good person in that life. LOL

I so understand what you're saying but I will say that when I have my grands (the older will be 4 in August, the younger 2 in June) I let them help me do things. We planted flowers and trees the last time they were here. I also have a stash of their favy videos on hand (Tangled, Veggie Tales, anything Princess, and Finding Nemo and Cars to name a few) I've also recorded some of their favy tc shows for the times when I'm trying to cook or do things they don't need to help with because they might get hurt. I do let them help me cook some depending on what I'm cooking just nothing that will let them get cut or burned. The older likes to set the table - I do 1 and she make the rest match. She likes to dust while I vac or sweep too. Little one just follows or holds the broom or vac with me.

No I don't get as much done but we still get things done. You might be surprised how inventive you may become with little one around.

Have fun!

It's been there for a couple of years...doubt it has moved...unless of course it has been used!

Currently the master bedroom looks terrible...but that is all relative because compared to pre-FlyLady Living it looks good!

Red Bear took a curio cabinet off the wall and set everything on the short dresser...he hasn't put the other cabinet in that place which is where the knick-knacks will go that he took out...

AND...well...the closet has doors and they actually shut (this wasn't the case pre-FlyLady Living as when we moved into this house the carpet was too tall for the doors that were on the frames so krapoppa just removed the doors and the closet with all the belongings was visible for all the world to see!) but the contents could use some straightening...

I have basically lost a week or two with everyone, though I know I've read the past posts up until this weekend. I'm just going to start fresh here.

I hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful weekend. For those who have been sick, I hope you are feeling much better. For those who've lost loved ones or not-so-close-loved ones, I send my sorrows for you and prayers to you all. For those who have been busy - I hope you got rest.

Today I'm starting a fresh slate - and it will be TDD which will be added to along the day, though I'm still working on the accerditation stuff too. DH is working nights tonight and tomorrow and I can't remember what the rest of the week (calendar has it all written down - I'm so glad my calendar is so smart to do that for me LOL) so the bedroom will have to wait until tonight.

I have already -

1. Gotten up
2. Eaten breakfast
3. Taken allergy meds - yes I'm back on them
4. made my side of the bed
5. fed the cat
6. called my HRD boss to make the appt she suggested and after leaving a message am waiting for her return call
7. sent email to my sub for tonight's class - no vehicle - truck still in shop
8. Gotten dressed
9. Divided clothes for washing

Next TDD

10. work 30 minutes on accreditation
11. start a load of clothes
12. gather garbage in house

See ya in a while

My master bedroom is much better than in the past. The biggest areas to tackle are the top of my dresser, including the top drawer. For years I did not use a dresser but shelves with baskets in a closet so I need to move those things into my dresser. We only have 3, yes 3, closets in our master. But dh has to have a king sized bed so much of the room is taken up with bed. We have 2 nightstands 1 ladderbacked chair (on his side of the bed which is always covered with stuff) a stool at the end of the bed (which is often covered with my stuff) and my dresser inside the walls of the room. Then insdie 2 closets we have - closet 1 a tv on stand, a gun safe and a small bookcase turned sideways (I'm thinking we can get rid of that now) and in closet 2 dh's dresser and a shoe rack (there are shelves with shoes & stuff on them as well. Each of the 2 smaller closets have the upper shelves which are basically clear now so I'm thinking I'm going to store my purses up there along with out-of-season clothes in the vacu bags. In the large closet (nearly a walk-in) there are shelves on both ends and 2 racks that run the full length of the closet. DH has 3/4 of the closet and I have the rest. We need to clean off the shelves and look at the things on the floor as well. It really doesn't look that bad but in the Flylady living theme we need to downsize some of the stuff. Those will be goals for another day because dh will have to help make some of the decisions about some of the things.

LOL! For me, I think, it's nursing that did it. I haven't worn a turtleneck or anything close around my neck in 5 years so now it feels constricting.

Possibly easier since the piece is green rather than white! Color is usually a perk in such situations!!!!

Except I pull out one scrap pad & use it until it's gone. So my little pieces of paper are ALL that color for awhile! I did find the green piece of paper I was looking for, so now I can imput my numbers & get the report sent in for March.

My dumping ground is the bathroom, in the toilet.

Oh...right.

But yeah...I used to dump stuff in my bedroom, too. Heck. I used to use clean clothes that I haven't folded as insulation in the winter.

Joyce - Vacation was a month ago, then there was tax time, and then there was and still is scramble to get this accreditation stuff worked on, and then there was dsil's father passing. I have not been on schedule for a nearly a month. Until today I have been going back and reading everyone's posts but decided today they were all things from the past, though I to hope are are well. Today is going to be a new start where I get back on task.

During that month I haven't just sat idle. I've gone through all my clothes and decided what needed to go, took up a fence, planted loads of plants, mulched, worked endless hours on accreditation, finished my taxes, spent the weekend on ancestry.com getting all the free international marriage records I needed to date for way too many families, washed a bunch of loads of clothes, gone through my stamps and decided on which I could live without (yes, and placed an order for more). I'm sure I've done more but just can't think of it right now, but you get the idea. It just hasn't been on task, it's been more flitting her and flitting there. Today I'm getting back on task with you guys and trying to keep up with everyone.
