Default Whale Tail Punch Card Organizer

So once upon a time, I was uploading pictures that customers had submitted for the monthly Studio Showcase contests. While I was uploading, I came across this submission by Celia Cawthorn (click HERE to see it). She did this GENIUS thing, and flipped the Whale Tale Punch Holder on it's side to use it as a card organizer. When I saw that picture I was FLOORED.I mean, I got super duper excited and Facebooked the idea and ordered a punch holder STAT.

Here's a before picture of my card mess.

I freely accept your condolences for the above set up. It was a dark time in my life and as for my sharing this with you..erm, you're welcome. I had all my cards "organized" in these pretty IKEA tins. I liked that set up..except when I was making cards at the speed of light and I didn't have time to unstack the tins and place the cards inside them.
The cards would stack up on top of the tins, on the side of the tins, and basically take up all the surrounding space until I could take these shenanigans no longer and rage organize them. No comment on the jewelry piled up and my addiction to lip glosses, please.

Here's the after picture.

Isn't it wonderful? I separated them all by occasion, and use the top left slot for most recently made cards (that still need uploading or submitting). I even have a slot open for envelopes. I've had it for 3 months now and it's just working out fabulously.

Have you thought of using one of the Stamp-n-Storage organizers in a different way? I need to know about that. Don't keep your genius to yourself...especially if it concerns lip gloss.

They are about 4.5" deep. The light blue stack of cards on the bottom shelf (middle) are A2 size and are against the back of the "hidey holes".

Default Whoo Hoo!

Bev, I just love helping someone out, and I am so glad that you were helped out with my "accidental" find. It's amazing how looking at something sideways can lead to some magical re-purposing! Thanks for the shout out!
