I can tell you that, in my experience, even though I'm one that goes to 3 digits, I still tend to use the same 5 or 6 most of the time.

Okay, I'll admit it - the whole reason I got my Big Kick was because of embossing folders. I was resisting the lure of dies, but as soon as I saw what could be done with the folders, that was IT. (Of course, once I had the machine, it would have been silly to not get dies for it, wouldn't it?)

I thinned my collection of embossing folders down to 8. 5 of these are my go to embossing folders and the others I kept are holiday folders .

I like using embossing folders and had fallen into the trap of if one embossing folder is great then 20 or more would be even greater .

I had the same faulty thinking about punches

Every time my DH shakes his head when he looks into my craft area, I keep telling him there are thousands of crafters out there that have double and triple and quadruple the amount of things I have. He doesn't believe me. He needs to read these threads!
I only have about 20-30 EF's maybe more with the boarders, trims and accents.

Although I have plenty of efs, I have not heard of many of the brands mentioned in this thread. Darice was mentioned a lot and that is unfamiliar to me....and nope, I am not going to look for that now. Nope. Anyone believe me when I say I am not going to go look?

Next July you need to go to the Stamp Expo in Bloomington...you'll see several brands of embossing folders...and well...

Do you mean scrapfest at the moa? Sounds like that isn't a definite going forward now that archivers is leaving that location. Would love to know more about the expos in blmtn if it something other than scrapfest.

I am a firm believer of enabling. Scrapmart recently added a new category called Spellbinder Closeouts. There are embossing folders as well as dies. I shall invoke the
5th as to how much damage that I incurred!

I almost bought the arrows too! I have some swirlie type folders, so I skipped those, but I just saw a card last week using the medium polka dots and it was so adorable that I was happy to find the ef at HL....

One swirlie I thought I could use as vines in the jungle for a monkey card I am going to make...I use embossing folders often!

46 folders, 10 borders and 6 little ones = 62

Yikes! I had no idea I had so many.

Just smiling reading everyone's posts, I only bought the Bigshot to emboss too! I only have about twenty efs but have a good collection of dies now, probably not as many as most of you but I have a wish list as long as my arm!

I'll count sometime and come back but I just had to respond that you can definitely never have too many EFs, unless maybe you had 2 of the same one...if SU! releases a new pattern of an EF, you'd better believe it's the first thing on my demo order AS SOON as we can preorder it! I'm NUTS about EFs. This year SU! retired some and didn't bring all of the ones we'd had in the seasonal catalogs into the main catalog and I was like WHY? I *NEED* ALL OF THOSE!!!

Hi!
I have a bit over 100 folders. I sort them by theme or type such as Christmas, fabric, floral, etc...

I used my Cricut and made little recipe dividers so I could have as many dividers as I wanted.

Some sections have just one folder like brick, I only have one brick patterned folder. Floral has a lot of folders, that sort of thing. I probably have two dozen dividers

I copied someone's idea to make tags, emboss each tag with a folder and keep them on rings to see a sample if each folder. That was a great idea until I had to go to two rings. Haha

I keep all of my folders in one drawer of my Iris cart.

At first I was a little smug that I only have 22 plus a 4 pk. of 2 x 2. that quickly morphed into sadness 'I ONLY have 22!' Alas, I could have many, many more. so many embossing folders, so little time.
