Good question. I have never bothered to count them. But 2016 is off to a good start - have made over 100 so far! And it's only the 6th!!! (Some of them might have been started 12/30 but they weren't finished until last night!)
Well, I do send a lot - but I also donate 120 birthday, 120 4th of July, and 120 Holiday cards to the local veterans hospital - through the Blue Star Moms. And cards for the troops, too! Keeps me busy!
CathyH that is wonderful. I make holiday cards for shut-ins at church so over and above what I send I make about 250 for that project. Justifies why I need so many supplies!!
I made about 50 last year, but only sent/used 2 of those. This year, my goal is to make and give cards to all family members on their birthday (about 30 in total).
I'd also like to try at least one new technique a month, so I guess that's an extra 12 on top of that.
More than I made in 2014 when I was living at my daughter's after moving interstate, and all my gear was packed in boxes awaiting a new home. I did a LOT of knitting that year. I'm getting back on track for cards for friends' and relatives' birthdays, along with sets of cards for gifts for them. I also want to make cards for the residents of the local seniors home. Oh, what fun I'm going to have.
I also don't keep track but should have last year. I made 150 Christmas cards but probably made another 200 or so for our Volunteers that Care group. We send out cards when people donate under a persons name in memory of or in honor of. We buy $100 gas cards for people that live in Potter County (PA) or come to our Cancer Center for treatment. When the Cancer Society stopped paying for mileage a couple ladies in our county wanted to try to do something so with the American Legions help they started this group. We are very proud. But I guess I got off the subject. Probably close to 600. I'll have to keep track. This year I did the 150 Christmas Cards for this year and 1 birthday so far.
I will count all paper projects since I make many things with my Silhouette Cameo. Many are 3D. I made over 500 items. I volunteer at a kindergarten. I make paper projects for them to put together and decorate. I make papercrafts for many neighbors, family and friends for all the major holidays. I make many more things for my daughter's office staff. I am also in a card/papercrafts group so make items for that every month. Me and my Cameo are very busy!
Making cards for my family, troops through OWH, From Our Hearts and now ORCAS, Detroit Children's Hospital, my church, a local prison...I estimate about 1500 cards. No goal except to keep creating and enjoying the journey
Wow..I didn't keep close tabs on everything, either, but at this rate, I'm not even going to attempt it..I probably made about 75 to 80 cards including Christmas and birthdays. I have no idea how you ladies find time to make as many as you do!!!!!
You all put me to shame..but, I enjoy what I do make, so I'm not going to stress about numbers!!!!
I sell my cards at two local farmers markets during the season and a few friends order from me as well. I would say that last year I made well over 1500 cards, sold 1200 and plan to do the same this year as well. I am tired just thinking of all the work I need to get doing.
In 2015, I made and gave away over 2,000 cards... mainly for my "You Matter Project". (Given that we were the featured July 2015 Cards for a Cause here on SCS, we were also sent 982 cards total from SCS members during the month of July.)
This year I would like to reach the 3,000 card goal mark. Not sure if I am going to make it, but I am going to try. So far, I have only made about 30 cards in 2016.
I average between 300 and 400 cards a year...about 1 a day. Most of the time I send out about 60 percent (a large portion of those are holiday and thank you cards), donate, sell, or swap 30 percent, and keep for my art collection the remaining 10 percent. I learned quite a bit from reading everyone's answers! Thank you for this question.
I don't keep track of how many cards I make but if I had to guess maybe 30. I am uping that in 2016 because each person that received a card in 2016 will be receiving a set of 6 cards. I also want to participate in some challenges, start uploading my cards regularly and get back to blogging 😄
I made a little over 100 this year, with about a third of them going to Hope You Can Cling To, and another third or so for VSN challenges. Probably 25 of them went postal, which is probably a record for me (I once had Halloween cards - in their envelopes, addressed and everything - sit around for three years! Yeah, not good at sending...) My goal this year is to not have a goal - just make things when the Muse visits and practice perfecting techniques...
I know this sounds crazy, but I participate in a lot of swaps through Stampin' Connection, and attend our NC Demos Quarterly meetings which we do at least 3 swaps . . . not counting the classes I teach. So I must say I probably made well over 500 cards last year and will probably exceed that this year. I just got back my first SUC swap with 30 cards, quarterly we made approximately 40 cards, classes thusfar would total 18. I LOVE MAKING AND GIVING CARDS. Oh, I forgot those that I just randomly mailed out to friends and church family members . . . you can add another 75-100 for that.
