I don't think so, Linda, because I think they would be too thick for the card to fold closed. Maybe some sticks of chewing gum would work since they are thinner. Glue them to toothpicks!

When I joined this thread you were doing the straw blowing last year. It has become one of my favorite techniques. So, when I was a hostess for VSN this week-end, my challenge was the straw blowing. Here is my card for the challenge and it was in the faves thread. So Kathy and I both bot into the favorites. Blowing with the Wind.

I did straw blowing last year. You use alcohol reinkers and glossy card stock. You put drops of different colors on the glossy card stock and blow the ink around on the page with a straw. But it takes lot of blowing and I got dizzy doing just one piece! LOL

I've finished mine but I had to leave it to dry, i sent the link on to my friend who has twin sisters who are 60 soon.
We had a night in a hotel last night for our football gala evening, it's to raise money for our local football team, unfortunately the person on the mike loved the sound of his own voice so after midnight the dancing hadn't even started so we crept off to bed

My card in a box for Vickie's challenge for this week. That means I still have to make the spring card for Lynn's challenge.
Sorry you didn't get to dance last night Jan. I did some dancing in my back yard today......from one step to another through the 2 1/2 foot snow. It was above my knees and crusted, but not strong enough to hold me, so each step was a challenge! The warm spring sun has melted half a foot of snow, and then yesterday we got 6 1/2 inches and it was -18 C. degrees this morning! Spring, please come soon!

Wow Ina, I thought your temperatures were rising, bet you can't wait for spring.

Don't you just love those card in a boxes, I'm trying one with balloons, still trying to make the balloons though! I saw a video where 3d balloons were used so I'm trying to find it again,

Thanks Lynn. That's my youngest grandson, age 16 months. He's the one who lives in Toronto (Lansdown and Bloor area) I wanted to go visit him today, but I kept hearing on the radio that the 401 and QEW were poor and icy.

Nice stamp Kathy, I've been doing the challenge Ina set on S2S, I decided to make it into a Christmas card, stamped my new stamp and used embossing powder but after six tries the words didn't look clear enough so I gave up I was just clearing up when our DIL rang on FaceTime so I will have to finish tidying tomorrow .

Hello everyone....it's not morning anymore, and the sun isn't shining either! However, yesterday's sun melted back the snow far enough that I could see the tips of tulip leaves coming through the earth. What a great promise of spring!
Jan, I finally got a sample made for my S2S card challenge for this week. I will be uploading it soon. I had a service on my computer this week and now I am having trouble retrieving my photos!

When DH was trucking to NH he would stop in Vermont and get me some syrup. He isn't doing that run anymore! Boo hoo.

My D brother still makes it himself, but he's in Ontario, so it's probably not good enough for the maple syrup snobs! It sure was good last year!

They usually make it around here, but this year it was too cold for the sap to run so no maple syrup!

Ive only had maple syrup once in San Francisco, our first trip there, DD2 took us out for breakfast and we had eggs, sausage, hash browns and then a plate of pancakes with maple syrup and a blob of cream! Now we know to order toast instead, not my idea of breakfast,
