That should so go on the thread "you know you are a crafter when you choose to create instead of eat" Dh was super pissy about me not eating until after VSN mini friday night.

so my thought was I wonder how a challenge would fly if I asked some ladies to choose a stamp that they just do not use use... and send some images of it to others, then see what they did with it...
OMGoodness! The wide ribbon would be perfect! I like my card and all but something was definitely missing. I was struggling to keep it mostly black but if I had centered the cut piece and used wide ribbon it would have been good too!
Your challenge sounds fun. My Mom and I do that occasionally. We send an image and just see what we both do with it. It's fun to see how very different they are.

Happy Tuesday, Ladies!

I'm spending most of my day on the CCC11 thread. We are having an all-day stamping session. Only 6 days left to complete the January Christmas Cards. I have a ton on the January CCC thread to look and comment on. I hope to get to that this evening.

Bob will be home in about an hour. I'll spend time with him but since he's been up since 4 a.m. and on the road for 8 hours, I see a recliner, remote, and a nap in his immediate future Then I'll have the rest of the evening to sit and catch up there.

Kelly sounds like a day of fun. Michele congrats on making the top 5 for last weeks GYSO. I am spending the day fixing up the inside of my vsn cards and probably organizing stuff (I need to go through my scraps (that are already organized by color) and baggie any small pieces or already cut shapes.

We don't eat our chickens either. They are more pets for the hubby, but I do collect the eggs and we sure eat those!

I loved the luminary and knew as soon as I made one, I wanted to do one for Halloween. You can see the details in my gallery post.

Have Fun!

Here's mine:
I think I am going to do another luminary! I want to make a baby themed one (or 2 or 3). We are having a baby shower at work and those would look cute as center pieces!

Depends on the Swap, Toni. I pay myself according to whether it's cards/ tags/ ATC's, LO PLUS I give my self a $3 bonus for completing the swap.

Hope that helps.

I went to HL yesterday and only spent $2!!! I went for some paper for secret sister kits and that is ALL I got, even though paper was on sale. I even resisted getting myself some of the paper I got for my sis because I REALLY liked it. I was able to put together 6 scrapbook kits with what I already had. Now, how would you count that? I will be getting kits also and will count any pages I make from those kits but at $2/page.

Wow! If I paid myself that, I would be in the black already, but we all make our own prices, don't we? I'm getting really close though, only $1.82 away, but I won't update until I am in the black.
I managed to finish the S2S challenge #2, to use snow. It can be seen Here
I only have this week's challenge left to do.

That's awesome Kelly! You have been a very busy lady!

I also forgot to mention that I didn't order anything from the SU party I went to. Of course, this is partly because I looked at my bank balance and thought I better hold off until payday.

you all have been so busy...i'm so jealous. but i don't have anyone to blame but myself.

sab has started - normally i would have placed my order already but i'm waiting for my cousin to give me her order. and i'll just make up the difference between her order and my quarterly order....that will save me some money..

we're sitting here waiting for round 2 of snow...we got about 3 - 4 inches this morning no one expected..now we are waiting for an add'l 2 - 6 inches overnight. i am kind of glad i'm laid up...at least i don't have to go out in this mess....

Silver lining of broken bones don't have to go out in the snow. I am banking this quote for future use, love the optimism.

I went to LSS last night. I was so good! I spent $8.49! Whoo-hoo. It's a little over an hour away so only go a couple times a year and normally I spend at least $50 and sometimes well over $100 on just "stuff".
In a way I actually felt guilty because it's such an awesome store, with tons of stamps and I hope others are going there and spending more money than I did. I certainly didn't do my part to help her pay the mortgage this month. So many of these nice little places are closing. BUT my checkbook loved me!

Just a quick drive by hi. I see everyone is doing well with their S2S.
I will have to update my amounts. I was at Archivers and spent a lot of money. I have to add in some money I spent last week, too. Plus, I ordered the Project Life by Becky Higgins. So I am deeply in the red.
On a good note, everything I am buying has an immediate use/purpose. So, I am good with it. (Rationalization ?) LOL
I have been subsitute teaching and not on SCS due to that fact. I retired last year and this time of the year, I am getting more calls to sub.
Anyway, keep up the good work, stay warm and cozy and catch up with everyone later.

I was looking at all the pretty Zva Creative embellishments on 7KidsCollegeFund today and had a cart full of stuff - all so pretty. Before buying, I logged off and walked away.

Nice! I find myself doing that more and more lately. I try not to buy anything the first time I see it. If I still "need" it later it will be there and will be a much more thought about purchase.
