WOW! I feel like I just crashed this thread! LOL

I am starting in the hole I think! I just got the Sizzix Electric Big Shot on Friday, (along with another $100 at Archivers)

i did get 14 cards done today. 5 yesterday, I have 4 more in process today.
My New Years Resolution is to acknowledge the b'days on time. So far this year there have been 8 in January and 9 for February. They are all done! January's were all on time even! I alos joined the Christmas Card Challenge and so far so good with that too!

Well I off to ponder how I will track my credits. Glad you are all here, this should be a great way to Use the Stash!

Glad you joined us... there is one other challenge post. #135 is a OSW challenge. I know that's one you won't want to miss.

And a new one posts on Friday.

Thanks Shell! I just found out that due to some weather he has been delayed. So far it is just two days, but with all the snow we are getting here in the States as well. I hope once he is back in the States he isn't delayed more. I am not very optimistic. but it could be worse. He is on his way own! Just stranded for a few days.

I litterally just created a new 12 x 12 OSW tonight while watching Ghost Whisperer. I am going to scan it at work tomorrow.

I'll be back Saturday ... to look for the next challenge!

I have the challenges in mind, but haven't had time to do any of them. With a 1/2 day of school tomorrow, no school Friday and no school Monday, I should be able to get some crafting time in! I added S2S to my signature line. I think I am doing quite well. Before I found this challenge, I had it in mind that I was going to go on a spending freeze!

Do I need to post what I am paying myself? Or is that something I just keep track of on my own?

Can't wait to see what you came up with, Vikki Jo. I created one earlier in the week. I hope to have it on my blog by Sat. afternoon. Hate that I can't upload anything here at home on dial-up. ::: sigh :::: Patience truly is a virtue when it comes to dial-up internet. hehe

Not necessarily. Just change your signature line to reflect your progress

However, if you're allowing yourself a credit for something you've not seen the rest of us mention, you might inspire us to add to our list.

One thing that I am giving myself credit for is for every 15 minutes I spend cleaning up my craft room or organizing it. It is a disaster!!! I don't think I could post a picture for fear of embarassment. The disorganization in my room is a barrier to crafting so I figure if I pay myself for cleaning then it might be a way to overcome the barrier.

I don't know how many hours I spent organizing my scraps last month, but it was plenty. I didn't count them and I won't, but I can tell you that I was able to make 6 or 7 cards without cutting into one single sheet of paper! I see quite a bit of this in my future.

there are lots I would change, but the biggest thing would be to have the room bigger. It's now 10x12, but I would love to have 20 x24 - room for some work tables so my cricut and big shots wouldn't have to be stored and could sit out. I would also like to have a designated stamping area.

Seriously! 20 each for 3 kids classes. My right thumb is numb from cutting out all of the hearts. I should know better then to paper piece on anything I have to make more then one of. But they came out really cute and the kids love them.

Not a great pic but it gives you an idea. My 9 year old helped design and make them.

Desparate is not the word, sweetie. Smart! Even through hand-over-fist crisis last week you got a bunch of cards done!

You lead by example and I'd follow you just about anywhere.

Default S2S Challenge #5

Last week I posted a challenge using the OSW from 1 sheet of DP or Slab.
Remember, I suggested you keep the dimensions of those pieces in mind...

This week, pull out your SCRAPS of DP papers/ slabs.
Using the dimensions of the individual pieces in mind, find scraps to fit and make more cards.

If you got 15 cards from the OSW, you should be able to make 15 cards from your scrap stash.

I am posting the OSW pattern I developed to my blog and gallery tomorrow while I have WiFi access. But here are the pieces I got from my pattern.

This pattern was developed with a 5x6.5 card in mind. I'll do up another one for 4x5.5 later.

5x6.5 Cards:

A - 1x6.5
B/C - 5x6.5 Triangle (2) * card fron cut at a diagonal to give you 2 pieces
D/E/F - 2x2 (3)
*Remember - You can punch a 1 7/8 scalloped circle from 2x2 squares
G - 2x 6
H/I - 2.5x6 Elongated Triangle
J/K - 1.5x6
L/M - 2x4
N/O - 1x4
P/Q - 3x4 (2) Triangles
R - 5x6 Triangle

So there you go... Have a blast and I can't wait to see what you create.

Whew, I am done with all the swaps I signed up for! I love doing them but for some reason I procrastinated and have been in overdrive trying to finish them. Of course, they have helped my totals considerably.

I've still to make got 50 birthday cards and my 10 Christmas cards for the 2010 Christmas Card challenge. Oh, and I've got to start on the goody bags for my scrapping retreat next month. aiyahyah!

anyone got an inexpensive idea for a goody bag? I only have $2 per bag to spend and that includes the goodies.

Thanks, Kelly for the challenges. I have been wanting to try a OSW set. I am going to try to do that this weekend. Scraps should not be a problem because I have two boxes overflowing with scraps. I can't seem to throw anything away!

What branch is he in? My son is a Marine.
Somehow, power of prayer!, my husband should get home tonight, Friday! Only 12 hours later than originally scheduled. We still have to get through any weather here in the states, but things are looking good. Thanks for your prayers!

My DH is in the Air Force. I guess that handsome man in your photo is your son. Don't they good in uniform! Where is he? Home, I hope. Thank him for me.

Maybe you can put your scraps to use. How many do you need to do? Here are a couple things that popped into my head

Bookmark - Something that says Try This One at the top (for bookmarking a page in an idea magazine) The face of the bookmark could include the Top 10 ways to recognize a stamper in public - hehehe

A CS 5x6 flip book album.. Something they can use to put pictures in from the retreat? (slightly labor intensive but if you can make use of a cricut for multiple cuts, oh so cute!)

An inexpensive pen with a cute topper to go with your theme (if there is one)
(maybe the bics with the clear cases. Just pull the ink wand out, roll up a piece of decorative paper (long narrow scraps are great for this and insert in the tube part of the pen. Reinsert the ink wand and you're done.

Tips booklet (one swap I attended, the hostess had us send her a stamp/scrap tip ahead of time and she bound them into a 3x2 (approx) booklet with our tip, name and email or SCS name

Stampers survival kit (has several little items in a baggie along with a card saying what each item is for - most items you will already have on hand)

CS Do Not Disturb sign to hang at the entrance of their stamping space

All I can think of at the top of my head. Waiting anxiously to see what the others suggest.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you, Laurie!!!!!! Congratulations on getting him home. Enjoy your Valentine's.

Yes, that's my son. Thank you! And, yes ... they certainly do look good in their uniforms!

I will tell him. He's in NC right now. He is finishing up the School of Infantry (will graduate on the 24th). He goes from there to Chesapeake, VA for another school. As far as we know right now, he will be staying in the states (or at least in a 'states' kind of job) for the next 3 years. But, you know the military; that could change at any second. I look forward to seeing him in less than 2 weeks. We're going up for graduation. I miss that kid so much.

I had to make a quick card yesterday - but that counted for a card, an envie addressed, and a stamp set used - and I updated my blog with that today. I've updated my total from yesterday, but I haven't added my blog update amount to it yet because that's from today. I may go up later and make cards, and I want to do the update all at once.
