Kelly, I did the Grandma Moses challenge for sure, can't remember which other one or not. I am not home this week, babysitting GKs
(and home schooling!) So, I won't be on much.
Who knows Kelly, the only two I've done are vikii jo's worst colour etc and something old, something new etc, cant even remember which challenge they came from, Sorry I just haven't had the time to do many challenges this month.
Oh I updated my totals and it's going the right way but the annoying thing is I still haven't received my order, they have put the money back in my account and have said they are sending my order out again but it's frustrating when they take a week to reply to emails, bit annoying as I'm waiting for some of the order to finish my nee grandson baby card.

Hello ladies! A bit sooner checking in this time. I have busy in my craft studio (sounds so much better than craft room -haha). After making 84 card fronts to swap at the SU Regional convention last month, I've made another 86 cards, 7 scrapbook pages, and one journal to sell at a craft show next Saturday. I still need to make a few more journals and scrapbook pages and anything else I can squeeze in. I've got to tell ya though, my creative vibes are about dead.
I have been posting on my blog regularly though. I've not uploaded the projects to SCS because of time. I figured out that I can post regularly on my blog if I sit down on Saturday or Sunday night and do the posts for the week and schedule them to post.
I saw Kelly's vintage challenge and wanted to share the vintage Christmas card I made. The post is here.
Hope everyone is doing well. Kelly, you asked about my hubby. He is fine. The surgeon didn't find anything else and DH's gastro dr said he would do another colonoscopy in six months. So it's a "let's keep an eye on things" situation right now.
Have a great weekend!

Oh, Michele, that is Great news! Continued prayers.
Yep, you've been a busy lady. Checked out the blog and left love. Come back soon!
Oh Michele, I am breathless just reading your post! I can't imagine making that many cards! I once made 32 cards for a swap and that was more than enough! I really need to learn how to make simpler cards, so I can do them faster....maybe cleaning and organizing my craft room would help too!
I love your beautiful vintage Christmas card. Thanks for the tip about the acrylic block and ink. That will be a real help!
Wow Michelle, that's a lot of cards, almost my yearly total!!
I know what you mean Ina, I do the same with birthday cards, make them way too complicated and so it takes me weeks, then every year they all expect something spectacular .
Hey girls!
Here to post the challenge for this week. It's an easy one
How was your weekend? We got our first frost and our first SLEET. Ewwww Way too early in the year for this. LOL
Did you do anything for World Card Making Day? I didn't accomplish what I wanted but I did get to play. I made 6 cards from items out of a swap envelope combined with my own CS scraps. Will post later in the week. Just my usual Monday.
Okay, I told you this would be easy... and it is.... sort of
Since today falls after Thanksgiving for our Canadian friends (do I have that right, Ina?) and before the USA Thanksgiving, your challenge this week is to make a Thanksgiving card.
But here's the rub....
You can NOT use BROWN or ORANGE ANYWHERE on the card... no mats, no embellishments, etc.
Just a little something to step out of the norm. hehe
Haven't had my computer on since Saturday. Yes, Kelly, it was our Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday and my DD and family came to visit. They just left. I had so much fun playing with my youngest grandson, who is almost 5 months old. That's a great challenge you posted for us this week.
Congratulations Sharon on being a winner for last month!
Hi Ina, glad to see you back, it's so lovely to spend time with family, especially the grandkids.
I didn't realise that thanksgiving was a different date different to the USA, but why should it be the same, just never thought about it, sounds like you had a great time.
Hey Girls!
Just back from a writers conference. I have the flash drive right here beside me to post the new challenge.
I have a question. Are you interested in me keeping this going next year? Is it helping? Or does someone have other ideas and want to take it over?
I have no problem keeping this thread but I also don't want to hog it either if someone else wants a chance to play. Let me Know ASAP your thoughts as there are changes flooding my life and I'm trying to get situated before end of the year. HUGS!
I've really enjoyed joining this challenge Kelly so I for one would love you to carry on if you have the time, I know you are super busy so I really appreciate all the time you've put in keeping us motivated.
Kelly, this is a great forum. I love and appreciate all the work you have done for this. I would certainly like to see it continue. However, if you have too much on your plate, I am sure someone would pick the moderating up for you. I think I could be persuaded, if needed, but I don't want to take it away from you. I know I could never fully fill your shoes.
I see to be rather quiet this year and not having time to complete any challenges. I am ahead of the game when it comes to controlling my spending. I am completely fine with you continuing and I hope to have a bit more time to play along with the challenges. I also need to update my totals. Hopefully soon!

You have been one busy lady. Glad things are looking good right now for you DH. Love your Vintage Christmas card.
Kelly, this forum has kept me very aware of my spending habits so I would love to see it continue. Ina would be a great person to take over if you feel you need to step down. I've been having trouble keeping up with the challenges myself. This last half of the year has been so messed up for me.
its great to drop in! i agree with Debbie totally re continuing and who is to lead. i am sure you would do a great job Ina, and in your own style.
things are going ok here down under.....just getting ready to teach a homeschooling group class on friday...on australian federation! yeah, thats right ask the canadian to teach it! needless to say i am learning LOTS!
i have made some cards lately - how exciting! got my thank you cards off (actually IN THE MAIL!!!) and i recieved a beaut. card in the mail too! which was so lovely - it reminds me just how nice it is to get them! also some local people have needed stuff lately - ie many sick at church etc. think i am about up to $100, thats not including my birthday money! of course, until i sell some more Norwex, it is all virtual money of course! just tryign to hold out and get a nice size SU order together. i have photos so will post (sometime!) soon.
but i wanted to post this photo from our trip......it is special! Ina and me... at a conservation area near her home.
oh and in case you are feeling a bit hard about the snow, we had some outside town here last week, over a quite large area. enough to make (small) snowmen! and it is spring??!
....sunny and warm this week!
Hi Stephanie! I'm so glad you got your mojo back. What's with the snow? It's supposed to be spring!
All the best with your Australian Federation class. They chose just the right person to do it....because you had to research it and not rely on what you already knew or thought to be true. And now you have lots more understanding of your new homeland.
As for the photo, you and I are tipsy, but I know we just came from church and didn't have anything funny to drink That was a great day!
Hi everyone! The fall festival I set up at this past Saturday was total bust but that's ok. It wasn't really the right venue for selling (although the Tupperware lady seemed to be doing really well). The holiday market I am organizing is in 3 weeks and now I don't have to try and restock for it. I can just add to it. emily and I are off to Winchester, VA next Thursday thru Saturday for a college audition.
stephanie, there is a young lady from my church that is in Perth, Australia right now. She is part of a mission organization called The World Race that travels to 11 countries in 11 months. This is month two. We are thankful she is in Australia right now. The previous country (Malaysia), she was on lockdown due to the unrest at US Embassys.
Congrats, Sharon!
Hi to everyone else!

Hi Michele, good to see you on and sounds like you are doing well. Good luck with you holiday market....hope you sell lots!
Perth is on the far opposite side of the country from Stephanie. That world race sounds like a very interesting mission trip. What do they do? I suppose it would be different in each country, depending on the needs.
Kelly with compter issues early in the year I wasn't able to track my spending like I wanted to, but checking in here kept me aware of it. I would love to see the thread continue with either you or Ina running the show.
Stephanie, what's up with the snow? Isn't it supposed to be spring? Fall has hit here hard. Leaves are falling and we are having cold rainy days this week.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Fall. I'm hating it right now. It's been so windy lately which set off my allergies in a very bad way and now I have a sinus infection. I was smart this time and got on meds right away instead of waiting until the sinus pressure got too bad. Right now, I'm really wanting snow and a few freezing days. Since I was told to take it easy for a few days, I think that is a good excuse to do some stamping.

Hi Ina! Sarah's team focuses on orphans and trafficking of women I think. They do whatever needs to be done though. Here is the link to her blog, Sarah Atkins The World Race
On the crafty side, I am participating in a blog hop this weekend. I have a dbl page scrapbook spread and a fall card as my share. You can go to my blog or or start the hop here: SUSTARS
I had two SU playdays today so got INKY! Of course, my craft room looks like a paper bomb exploded. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Poor you Debbie, I've only had a sinus infection once but it was so painful, my head felt like it would explode, if I was you I'd just chill out on the sofa until you feel better.
I know what you need Michele about craft rooms looking like an explosion, I really must have a tidy up today as I haven't got a surface that's clear, I've had to write a list of cards and things to do in order of priority to make sure I get everything done.
Jan, I have been doing nothing but sit in my recliner playing on my laptop or reading. I can feel the meds working today. I'm not as stuffy as I have been and the congestion is really breaking up. I am so happy that I don't have the terrible sinus pressure anymore. I usually wait until the pain is so bad before going to the doctor, but this time I decided it was better to get on antibiotics before it got to that point. I think I'll just chill all day and maybe do something around here tomorrow. I really do need to do some laundry but it can wait.
I spent more money on the weekend...haven't quite figured out how much, as I also bought non paper crafting items. My friend MelissaL and I drove to Rochester to attend the 5th annual flower city gathering. 47 ladies present and we had a blast doing shoe boxes and group projects. The big group project was a photo album, and it was awesome. I will be making another one of them at home, so that I can have one for each of my new grandsons (one not born yet)
Hey girls!
Getting settled in after a trip to Nashville. Trying to convince myself I don't need a nap. I think the chilly basement has something to do with it.
I'm going to back read and post this week's challenge.

Hi to everyone else!
HI Michele
Sorry about the 'bust' but it sounds as if it might have worked out for the better with the next event on the horizon. Safe trip to Winchester and good luck to your daughter on her audition.
This week's challenge celebrates COMPUTER LEARNING MONTH.
Your challenge... create a card using a digital image.
KEYWORD: S2S12Q1
If you've not used digital images before, they are lots of fun. You can make them whatever size you want - from a thumbnail for an inchie to a larger image for a scrapbook layout. They also make great color pages for kids
But where do you get digi's?
A Google search will give you lots of sites. Some cost a little $$ but there are TONS for FREE.
I belong to a newsletter subscription Free Digital Stamps Every day I get at least 1 email ( sometimes more) listing links to websites/ blogs offering a free image. They are usually only good as FREE for that one day but also available after for purchase.
I save my images to a flashdrive. I have a file folder for each DESIGNER/ COMPANY offering the image so when I use it in a project I can give credit back to the designer. This is important!
The coordinators give you 1 or 2 free digi images and 2 weeks to play with them/ post your card. When you've posted your project, they'll add you to the list to get the next freebie images.
DIGIS are also a great way to have new images to play with without spending any money! And they take up such small amount of storage space, no one will know you have soooo many (unless they have access to your files) hehe

Sorry you've been hit with fall stuff, Debbie. Lots of rest.

I'm a big list maker, Jan. If I didn't, I'd never accomplish half of what I need to do every day.
