So do I. For single page and double-page LO. Hopefully in the next few weeks those will really rack up. I've finally figured out how I wanted to create Adrian's 'Many Faces' book. So it's first on my list to do.

You are the June WINNER!

And no, you can't pass it on to someone else LOL If my records are correct, you and Sharon were the only two in the running for June.. and both are previous winners. So I went with what Random.org gave me

Jan is going to give you guys competition for July though! Hopefully Rita as well.

I just updated my totals and I'm back in the black. I should stay there for awhile this month. I have a couple projects to do by the end of the month and I plan on using paper I already have on hand. I need to make the guest book for my boss's retirement party next month and I'm making a card for the city and county employees to sign since our library is city and county owned. When I get that done I definitely have to use the camera for a picture because I know I won't be able to scan it. I am making the card in the shape of a book which will be filled with pages for signatures. I hope it turns out like I'm picturing it. The hardest part on that will be gluing the pages on evenly. It should be fun to make.

Hi Debbie, how do you glue your pages together, I've been doing a few number cards with pages, just wondered if you have a simple solution?

Jan, I cut the pages from my Silhouette Cameo machine. The cutting file I used has score lines 1/2 inch apart to make a spine for the book. I used Zip Dry paper glue to put my practice book together and it seems to be holding pretty good. I like to use this glue because I can move the pages around to get them to line up and any excess glue can be rubbed right off. If you're better than I am about lining things up, you could use a strong double-sided tape like the sticky strip sold by SU. You just want a good strong adhesive. When I get the good one put together, I'll take pictures so you can get an idea of what I'm talking about.

oh Thanks for that Debbie, I have made one and used double sided tape but cut a peice of toning card, folded in half and fixed it between the pages, it looked good but as you say very hard to line up with tape as once it touches, thereŽs no moving it. IŽll look forward to seeing your pictures.

I need to update my totals. I got the past 3 months caught up in my register yesterday and am under by $200! Well, I did have a SAB order in there with no time to make cards. LOL I hope to make up for it this month before I see the Holiday mini

I'm going to have to order some cardstock pretty soon. I'm getting low on my favorites. I have a long wish list from the SU book, not sure I should even look at the holiday mini.

Congratulations Ina! Enjoy! I know you will.

I haven't updated my totals yet. Keeping track is difficult and then adding up everything is to. But I will update thru June sometime this week.
Tomorrow, I am going to a Su! work shop. Of course, you know what that means...spend more money. I did so well the last part of 2011, and first part of 2012, and now I am back to same ole, same ole!
Do I get to pay myself for doing a bulliton board for my Church's Women's Ministries?
I do when we get together and I lead the card making for our encouragement ministry.
Try to stay cool everyone.

Sharon

Thanks so much. I love being a winner! I enjoyed my first win package so much, but I do feel guilty for being a repeat winner. But it's good to know my luck has changed. I'm visiting my grandsons in Texas right now, so I won't be doing any card making, but lots of opportunity for spending crafting $$$!

Have lots of fun with the grandsons. Wish I could see my granddaughters again soon, but not going to happen. I miss tham so much.

I really, really tried not to buy any more craft toys right now, but My Craft Channel had a featured buy for the Cinch. I hope I got a good deal. I paid $80 for it and it comes with extra wires. I've been debating with myself about getting one for a couple years now. Since I'm making the guest book for my boss's retirement party, I thought this would be very handy to have. And there would be no excuse for not making more books. Which will put my totals back into the black. How's that for rationalizing?

Hey girls!

Just letting you know I did not forget about you yesterday. I was replying to Debbie's post and planning to post the challenge when the storm took out my internet. It doesn't take much.. a few raindrops and I'm off-line.

But I'm here today.

I was also posting I am under by $200 and change. But I had that big SAB order and no time to make cards. I'm hoping to change that this week.

Default S2S12B1 - Challenge

This week we honor the Vermont Quilt Festival.

I love quilts. I don't make as many of them as I'd like. That whole 'hours in the day' thing.

I love walking around the National Quilt Museum in Paducah KY. It is worth the $10 admission to see all that beautiful creativity first hand.

However, for me, nothing beats a traditional quilt pattern in either original or reproduction fabrics. Nothing says comfort to me like a quilt or coverlet.

So your challenge this week is to create a Quilt card or incorporate Quilt theme on a scrapbook page.

If you pick a specific quilt block, please tell us why you chose it.

KEYWORD: S2S12B1

LOL You have a specific project in mind, Debbie. You're good to go. The project will give you the opportunity to find out how much you like it. If not, you can always put it on eBay and get at least a portion of your money back.

let us know how you like it.

I haven't made a quilt card in a long time. I need to make more sympathy cards for my boss's stash. I think I'll make some quilt cards.

I wish it was here now. I won't get it until next week but I'll be like a kid at Christmas. The only problem I will have is keeping the wires on hand. I'll have to order them online.

I've never made a quilt card so I will hang fire until I see some here.
My crafty bits arrived today so I had to dash into my craft room and have a go with everything, my DH still can't get over how small the package is, he still thinks spending eighty pounds will see me staggering out of the post office with a giant box!!

Jan, go into the gallery and search quilt cards. There's quite a few in there. I have a couple. They're not the best, but they were fun to make.

You're welcome. There are so many beautiful quilt cards in the gallery. I want to try some different patterns but that star pattern was pretty easy.

It has been quite a while since I did a quilt card! Have to get out some of my old quilting books for a different pattern. Thanks for the challenge!

Congrats Ina! Don't feel guilty. You earned it, enjoy it!

Hi Ladies! I've been lurking

I have my quilt card done and will have to wait to upload it until later on tonight. I have a busy day with a garden that won't wait and a track meet for my girl.
