I have 6 birthday cards to make for June....4 of them are for June 5. Also two anniversary cards.
This is my first birthday card. I am making several of these.....all in different colours, as I really like this new Technique Tuesday floral stamp. It lends itself so well to a CAS card.

The following card was also for June....already in the mail, as her birthday is June 1.

Sadly my first one for June is a sympathy card. A friend's husband's cancer took a rapid turn for the worse and he passed away yesterday. Here is my card:

Negative Stars

susanbri 06-01-2012 06:38 PM

I wasn't going to make this card until later in June as I don't need it till the end of the month, but today's F4A challenge inspired me:

Dreams for the Graduate

Here are my first 3 birthday cards for June using a new-to-me technique. You'll probably be seeing more of these. I think these cards could be used for either a man or a woman.

No. 1 Winter
No. 2 Spring
No. 3 Late Summer/Fall (I wish I'd sponged the peony circle on this one.)

ScrappinCEO 06-02-2012 07:43 AM

Good morning Ladies! Welcome to June. The Challenge List has been updated to reflect Maggie's Challenge to include homemade flowers.

I have a 5-petal punch I bought specifically for the purpose of making flowers. I wonder if I can get them made

Here's my first card for June. It's for my youngest DGD who will be 3 in 10 days.

Today has been a productive day! I increased my flowerbed by 2 feet, but digging up the sod. I planted two planter for my front deck, did some planting in my veggie garden, and I also managed to finish three cards. However, I just realized that I have deleted the photo of one of the cards, so I am only posting two.......the third one is very similar anyway.

Adding my first card for June to my stash :) I don't need many cards this month, but still want to add 5 to my stash....it's growing!!

I decided to use today's Color Challenge to make a sympathy card to have on hand. I don't like making them in a rush at the last minute, which I've had to do a few times this year.

Trees for Sympathy

grammatroll 06-05-2012 09:09 PM

What a wasted day. Today was the primaries for Montana and I'm an election judge. Sat there for 14 hours and we barely had 100 people in our precinct. The worst turnout I've ever seen in the past 10 years. I started to fall asleep this morning. If I had lain my head down on the table, I know I would have dozed off. It would have been very embarrassing if I had fallen out of my chair.

susanbri 06-05-2012 09:21 PM

I haven't seen many Father's Day cards yet, but I have to mail mine so have it done early:

For Dad and Queen Becky

The weather is so lousy up here in Vancouver so I'm making a lot of cards. This one is for my mother's birthday:

Hey girls! I'm here to catch up your June. I know no cards are going out this month. No creative time available with the munchkin. But I'm planning ahead for next year LOL

I like TT stamps. I won the banner stamp from them last year. Now I've had to order the banner punch from SU LOL Who knew something free could cost you something? hehe

Sorry to hear this Susan. Seems we've needed way too many sympathy cards lately.

Love how you pulled the spot of color from inside the image to the outside on the mat. Nice :-)

Your cards are all lovely, Susan. Sorry the weather was nasty but love it's result :-)

smadson 06-11-2012 01:39 PM

Oh, my goodness! First time here. Hadn't even subscribed yet! That must mean that I haven't made any June cards yet! Oh, oh!
:(

I'm enjoying seeing all the creativity here. Sharon, June is almost half over! Must be a light month for you.

I didn't upload anything last week or participate in any challenges. But you will see that I was busy creating stuff. I've made 4 cards for my S.S. class, sent out a sympathy card from my stash, sent 2 more birthday cards from my stash, made a thank you card, and altered that clipboard.

I still need 2 more birthday, 4 more for my class ... and the June CCC cards.

Here's what I uploaded today:

Hostess thanks

You have been busy! One of my favorites, is the one you made with the napkin! That was just plain creative GF!

Val, you have been busy. I'm with Sharon; my favorite card is the one with the napkin. I really like your altered clipboard.

Great batch of cards, Val - my favourite is the one with the stars - though I love the napkin one too!

Loving the inspiration I'm getting looking at everyone's cards :)

Here is the thanks card that went to my son's teacher...she just went home to Canada.

grammatroll 06-13-2012 05:45 PM

I'm posting this challenge a couple days early in case I don't get a chance to tomorrow or early Friday. June 15 is my son's birthday and, of course, Sunday is Father's Day. A reminder to all of us in the USA, tomorrow (6/14) is flag day. This challenge is to make a masculine card. It can be birthday, Father's Day, thank you, etc. Try to incorporate something that depicts your male's occupation, hobbies or other interests, or you can use your country's flag and/or it's colors. I hope that made sense. I'll post my card as soon as I finish it. Can't wait to see your cards.

Be sure to use AOCC12L in the keywords.

yellowrose46 06-13-2012 06:21 PM

Thanks for post early Debbie. I'm still working on other challenges, but hopefully I will get to do this one soon.

grammatroll 06-13-2012 08:04 PM

Here is my card for the June 15 challenge. My son is a cook and he is one of our cooks for our 4th of July bbq we host for the community so I decided to go with the King Of The Grill stamp set. I am so not good coloring this image. I chose to use red, white and blue since they are the colors of our flag.

I got a card done for June! Whee! This is an anniversary card I did for VSN tonight.

Another anniversary card I needed for June. I combined a VSN challenge with the S2S12W challenge to make it.

Another card for June: My Daughter in Law has been ill and this is a thinking of you card, inspired by a VSN challenge.
I have to make a birthday card for DGD now for her bday the 22nd. Hope one of the challenges fits that!

:)
